I found a natural hairstylist using styleseat.com - My appointment is next week!!! I'll share the results on Instagram stories first (duh), but I'll at least show you all the finished results in a video here on RU-vid.
Can’t wait to see your results after you see your stylist. I go to a curly hair specialist also, since 2018. She went through the Cut it Kinky class and is also a Devacut specialist.
Yeay good luck LaToya! We can't wait to see the results. Is it going to be on blown out hair? Your hair is so healthy and even you already have a shape!!
As long as I get the split ends off I'm good. My hair hasn't been straightened in ten years so I don't need it to be even. Most of it is at or past WL so trimming is no problem. I've been to a stylist twice ever so I don't think I'm going to start now. I have nothing against stylists no bad experiences or anything I just enjoy taking care of my hair myself.
I used to trim my hair in twists like that. Now I find it more effective to use duckbill clips which I use to slide down a section of hair to the part that needs trimming. The duckbill clip is tight so it stays in place and creates a nice straight even line. Then I just take my shears and cut the hair straight across under where I placed the clip.
Great Job 🔥I recently had a trim at home on a blow-dry hair. I'm not able to do a good job when my hair is twisted, cos my hair isn't too long. But I loved how easy I could just comb through my hair. That feeling is amazing 🥰
You read my mind! As a man who has never had my hair longer than a short fro, this quarantine growth is a whole new world. I didn't even know I needed to trim my hair before a year had gone by. 😂 Have been looking to try trimming my hair w/o heat. My ends have families several generations deep at this point. Thank you!
My strands not only married each other, had babies but are probably on their 4TH GENERATION on my ends!! *sigh* My journey has met up with the trim stage. My oasis of patience is drying up. Lol
I like this idea on trimming without straightening the hair. I’ve clipped off ends at random when I would feel a knot and was unable to separate the strands even when wet. I’ve been bad though because I’ve used regular scissors even though I didn’t use the scissors for anything else. I guess I didn’t think it’ll make a difference. 🙈 I’ll pick hair scissors from beauty supply this weekend. Thanks for your insight.
I always trim my ends myself because I don't trust the stylists around. They are not natural hair stylists and I cannot risk getting bald trying to trim my hair. I'll just stick to who I trust (myself) 😩
I dust my hair like this all the time which is why I’m thinking when I plan to straighten it I never have anything to cut😂 Congrats on finding a stylist!
💀 It’s not the BEST method, but it’s something. I need the world to get it together with this pandemic so we all can be happy, healthy, and have amazing cuts - from a stylist lol
the way i do it is i use the twists like a heatless blowout and comb out each leg of the twist and trim the end of that. so each twist is 2 sections and i get it fairly even and keep my shape too
Your hair looks great and it's flourishing😍. I usually do the search and destroy method whenever I style my hair. Dusting does save time but I feel it could miss a few knots and cut healthy lenght. Im glad it works for you😁.
@@LaToyaEbonyHair I understand. I only have time now that I'm on holidays wearing my hair out, but when college starts again I wear protective styles and rub castor oil on my ends to avoid tangles.
I love trimming my hair. But I had to stop because I realize I'm scissor happy. I get to snipping, forget what I'm doing then just go to town. 😂 My hair is healthy but super uneven. Getting it fixed this weekend.
Hey! Question- if I can't find any hair shears can I just use a normal pair of scissors that I haven't used on anything else and will only use for my hair?
Can anyone suggest a really good natural haircare specialist in Arizona? Preferably anywhere in Maricopa County? If so please reply. Ebony, I did not know that you left California. Where did you move to? How is the weather and the condition of your tap water? I deal with extremely hard water and extremely dry weather. Oh and let's not forget 103 to 116 temperatures.
I don’t feel the need a professional for trims mainly because they all seem to think they have to put heat on hair that doesn’t get heat. It’s always a bad result. Finding a Professional that can cut hair without heat I have yet to meet.
