To the "English perfectionists", English is just one of the languages I speak, apologies if I make a few mistakes. I'm sure you speak and write your other languages perfectly with no mistake.
To the smart guys and old farts, yes the service monitor is old but this simple test matches others of technicians with yearly calibrated equipment. Most folks that "attack" my video aren't technicians nor have any equipment old or new, to perform this test.
Alignment is not just s-meter. There are several steps before getting into that.
These radios aren't built for precision, I'm convincing myself now.
Story:
I've recently come across a video on RU-vid from a professional service technician in Brazil @cbsradiocom7767 showing two new Yaesu radios both newly purchased by their owners that complained of them being "too noisy". Alex at ‪@cbsradiocom7767‬ identified that both radios were not properly aligned (apparently from factory) and proceeded to show it in a video: • Yaesu FTdx10 e FT-710 ...
Note: The s-meter alignment is not what resolves the noise issue. I'm not worries about the s-meter only. Other pieces of alignment had to be performed as well.
Since I own one FT-710, and have a service monitor, I decided to check and see if my 710 presented the same problems. A simple s-meter verification was done. That is not the actual issue.
I am not a fan boy of any brand, Yaesu, Icom, Kenwood, Alinco, etc
I love my FT-710.
Note my test isn't 100% perfect. I used AM modulation along with the RF signal which wasn't needed. Know that I did test afterwards without modulation but no significant difference there.

Final thoughts:
Yaesu doesn't base their tests on IARU standards. So beware, the IARU table has no influence here.
Some care for their equipment being as precise as they can. They weren't cheap.
Some don't, which is an option or, selection. "Ignorance is bliss" for those.

I might be wrong but something seems off about the way this is tested. The HP is outputting 14.201, then you are also modulating with 1kHz tone at 30% AM modulation. So your sending out modulated carrier at 14.202. On RX side you are 14.200 USB. Then we get into the whole AM modulation % issue. As AM is modulated, it increases (or military typically decreases) the amplitude of the signal. I just think your test method may be an issue because signal strength is effected by AM modulation depth. Part of the issue here is Yaesu's lack of specifying what generator mode should be used. A plain carrier wave is best as it isn't modulated. When I do this test, I use a R&S CMU200 set to carrier wave and always zero out the test lead before testing. On your HP, simply move the cursor down to AM 30% and hit off. I have no doubt the Yaesu if off and have done a video also on tests with identical FT-991A and how 'off' their S-meter is. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4kozCKgDwSE.html I think amateurs need to understand these transceivers are really in the ball park of standard consumer electronics and NOT highly calibrated communication transceivers that they think they are. Albeit their design & RX performance is certainly leading the 'consumer amateur' pack of manufacturers.

I know about the modulation and trust me, when I turned it off, it made no difference. Also, 14201 is because I was testing in USB. I will make another video without modulation and actually set to CW-U in which case the service monitor will be set to 14200.3 - I hope to show what you what you expect.
