A bit of a strange lock this particular one, likes the dimple flag the wrong way up and tonight it decided that I didn't need to pick the sliders on the first open #lockpicking #locksport #security
Thanks for the tip on turning to an opposite flag i have a lot of these variations and magnums and it never occurred to me why some WOULD NOT set cheers LPP!
Excellent picking, what an interesting lock to pick. I would have expected a lock that had both sliders and pins to be a little more longer to pick than standards. Interesting that they have gone to the trouble to offset the pins. Thanks for this video, cheers
Thank you, I think these locks are more intimidating by perception than reality, for the most part I've found them to be reasonably easy, the keys certainly make them look secure but in reality something like a GeGe is a lot tougher, I've got anAPECS 3* which uses a very similar dual mechanism, it's a little better in terms on tolerances but takes about the same time to pick, to be fair to APECS though, this is an older lock and I had a go at a much ore recent one and that was a much tougher lock
I always get the Platinum and Superior mixed up, can't remember which is which to save my life. Sounds like a right quirky lock you've got there. Great job Paul and thanks for sharing mate.
Nice work. I wonder if those sliders were still set from when you checked them during the overset? - although you’d expect them to drop when you reset. Peculiar indeed. Glad you did it a second time to show how easy it is to pick those sliders after the false set. Take care.
I guess they could gave been but expectation was they should have reset but this is a goofy lock so who knows, I'm glad I repeated to get it right because these things aren't really that difficult
Nice job Paul ,some nice tips there aswell 🤜🤛,I have a 9 pin version & that’s not easy to pick & the sliders need setting individually, I think quality & tolerances vary a lot with these, some will rake open, on mine I can’t set the sliders until I get a second deeper false set.
I think you're right, I've got 6 of these, a mix of superiors, Platinum and Milenco Magnums, they are all super easy apart from 1 superior and 1 Magnum which are both sitting in my naughty box
@@paulg413 I’ve been scanning eBay for more of them & the assec, magnum & other types like them, a bit pricey though, I have the dedicated tool for them &they open quickly with that.
