Tip for Yamaha- automatic assignment of faders and knobs to screen parameter will allow for quick hands on experience grabbing several parameters (of course the SUperKnob is still there)

Looking at this and Fantom nzyme I must applaud the trend to make programming musical and fun. I would not dare to program a DX7 but this looks and sounds joyful. BTW, the morph feature, combined with the motion control sound like a ticket to the realm of wave-sequencing.

Many thanks for this helpful video. One question regarding your Performance List on 3:50. Performances like JH SM8, Imperial... are shown in the All-List on your screen. So this shold be regular Performances instead of User sounds. I'm not able to find them in my 3.5 Montage. Is there an issue to load them separately? Thanks for your help in advance

I think they can't do the smooth transition because there is no way to switch operator algorithms smoothly, Unless you use the same algorithms in all selected patches.

In fact it's rather vector synthesis I guess? It's not really morphing from one sound into another but changing volume partials.

What it's doing is basically creating 1024 different sets of parameters based on whatever you feed into it. It's changing a lot more than just volume from point to point, but no, it doesn't interpolate between the points.

No you don't. The wavestation is a PCM based wave sequencing and vector synthesis device. This has a very powerful FM synthesis engine plus a massive PCM ROM.
