Dude great vid. Oddly enough we have the same exact bike, same bars, same rear sets, same exhaust, same keychain but mine is orange. that’s dope I’m in love with the bike. Do you run mirrors?
Thought you were going to put that knobby on the rear, lol. Looks good so far! Needs a quickshifter. ;) I wish I could put clipons on mine, but it ends up hitting the tank and fairings.
@@code3kc Some people have tried. The headlight fairing gets in the way and it hits the tank. Oh well. The lower handlebar on mine is about equivalent to clipons with maybe 3" risers, but swept a lot more forward like a dirt bike. Your doing front and rear suspension? I just did the shock but it's a totally different ride. Well worth it.
@@davetechme I'm gonna do front and rear yea. My rear preload is maxed out and is compression adjustable only, and the front I put some preload adjusters on but that's it. It needs some love for sure. Your suspension is fully adjustable?
@@code3kc Stock: front is fully adjustable, rear is preload and rebound. The compression is brutally stiff. Wilbers 641: fully adjustable including high speed and low speed compression with remote reservoir.
What year is your bike? At the time I ordered I think I had to search for the year prior (same generation) and it seemed to open up the search quite a bit
@@code3kc 2015 - found some on ebay; what are you saying about cheaper replica ones? no good / acceptable? Do I need to get an adjustable rearset as well / is it highly recommended?
@@user-ot1dv6ri4f I'm not saying anything about cheaper replica ones lol. There's probably a lot of options, however motorcycling carries enough risk so I've always leaned towards installing known quality parts. As for the rear sets though I would highly recommend. Not necessary, but when you put the bars on your knees will be more in your chest at full tuck/aggressive riding. It's not as noticable when just cruising along/upright, though.
But I want to comment on your newest video. :( Looks like fun putting the clipons and rearsets to work. How did it feel? Do you still ride with Alan and Lyn? Haven't seen a video from them in a long while.
I just fixed it! Idk why comments were disabled. Bike definitely feels more sporty! Easier to hang off the bike a bit more. I went riding with them a few months ago, but I think they've been busy with family stuff. Talking about a tentative track day later this year with them
@@code3kc No. Just the walkaround earlier. I probably could've made a few though with all the mods I did. Have you ever swapped a front brake master cylinder before? Need to find a way to get the front brake light to work with an aftermarket MC. I'm assuming a banjo bolt switch meant for rearsets would work? Also, going to install steel braided lines and new pads. Then eventually shorter gearing and hopefully call it a day!
