Ride a Raider sometime soon, if you can. It is an amazing bike, and despite having a bigger engine than a lot of Japanese cars, and weighing more than Rosie O'Donnell after a three hour binge at Golden Corral, it handles itself very well, and has the torque to have a ton of fun cruising around town, or even on the highway.

Here it is August 2023 and I just got myself a 2011 Yamaha Stryker, and I must say it's maybe the best bike I've ever owned. It's definitely the biggest bike, the last bike I owned was a 1986 Honda Interceptor 1100.

Since you’re a sport bike guy, whenever you ride a big cruiser/chopper style bike it’s always cool to see you throw it around in traffic like it’s just another liter bike or something

Good review man... I own the camo green 2015 and its black out stock. Great bike... I upgrade my exhaust to the Cobra slip-on and a 240 rear wheel. Stunning head turning cruising machine! I did many 400+mile trips with it. And my only complaint is the size of the tank, wish it did more miles than it does now.

Im actually really happy Dan finally rode one of these. I myself love my 2008 Raider S. 113 cubic inches of badass. Havnt even finished the video and I think he is going to really like that bike.

Yamaha makes some great bikes 👌🏻 I have a V star and one of the things that drew me to it is the power of the engine and stability at higher speeds, it barely vibrates at all.

60k miles on my 1200 Sporty. 0 problems. 5 sets of tires, 1 battery and 2 plugs. And a gagillion oil changes.

Mentally Unstable trust me you can wheelie a cruiser. My mean streak will pull the front tire 2 ft just from throttling it alone. No clutch dump. It'll fry the tire if i clutch dump.

You have to ride the Breakout. I have a 2017, looks way better than the 2018. I think the seat height will suit you well. With the longer rake, 21 inch front tire and 240 mm rear the cool factor is second to none.

Mmm. Good on you man, the Yamaha/Star Strykers are bloody amazing machines. Definitely up there as one of my favourite bikes of all time. If you change the air intake (i.e. Cobra PowrFlo), slap a Power Commander and some decent pipes on it wakes the hell up. My dream machine.

Dan, I just bought the 1800 cc 110 ci Harley Davidson low rider s, got it dyno tuned with a two brothers stainless exhaust and now im pushing out 130 ft/lbs of torque. Just moved to Georgia. Let me know if you want to ride it! I think you might have a new favorite Harley.

awesome vlog. i have one suggestion: maybe look into getting some tripods and such for smoother camera movement when doing glamor shots of bikes and other vehicles

You should make a scoring system for all the bikes you review now. You could have two categories, such as a weekend score and a daily score, with each category having different scores in it such as looks and acceleration in the weekend score and comfort-ability in the daily score among other things. Add up all the scores and that would be your main rating for it. You could call it the -Doug- Dan score or something.

You should really try the Harley VRod muscle. It’s liquid cooled as well and a great bike in my opinion. Also... you should do a review on the FZ-10

I think shadetree said it best: when the factory makes a chopper or bobber its as if they're saying "this is how the bike is supposed to look." And thats the very antithesis of what it is to make one.

Dan if you liked this bike you should ride the Yamaha warrior roadtstar it's a 1700 cc 2002-2010 I believe or ride the Roadliner

You're thinking of the Yamaha Raider I have the Yamaha Warrior XV 1700 and it's an amazing bike you should try to review one of those you would love it it has sport bike suspension and it handles like a sportbike but it's a cruiser

I would definitely try and get a hold of one of the xv1700’s (102ci) if you can. R1 front end not raked out like the Stryker or Raider. For a cruiser its a blast through the Twisties. Just ignore the stock vacuum cleaner exhaust. Cleans up real nice with a nice set of VH pipes.

The fury is easier to make your own and looks better than any other in it's class and sounds better than most cruisers. Have you rode a Fury Dan??? If not jump on one and I bet you change your mind on it.

Dan if you like that you shoud try the Strykers Big Bro the Raider. 113 cubic engine & 1900cc. I just got a brand new 15 Yamaha Raider Bullet Cowl. My first cruiser and i love it to death. I still have my 16 R1 and my 16 ZX10R but the Raider is sick. This is comin from an anti cruiser guy. Now ima believer. PS - My only complaint is it eats gas like a snack.

Hey Dan, I too must get on the bandwagon of doing a test ride on the Raider.i just traded my 2003 Suzuki VL 800 intruder on a 2014 Raider brand new,(was a hold over ).but it is a BEAST!.100hp around 115#ft torq..check it out,see for yourself.

One of my bikes is a 2011 Harley Davidson Heritage Classic Softail. it has a 96B motor. 96 ci of course and B for balanced. these motors come from the factory Balanced and therefore have very little vibration. I can sit at a light and check out chicks behind me in my mirrors. but i will be adding vibration to it soon because i have a 103 top end to put on it.

13:02 Doug DeMuro (look him up on youtube) has a great scaling system for his car reviews, using a system similar to this (and including something like the spreadsheets he has) could be a good way of going about the bike rating system.
