Some reasons why Yazdani is not dropping to his knees or knee. Yazdani is older than his teammates who drop to their knees during this underhook lateral whip. Being older, his knee caps might get sore from hitting the mat. Yazdani might be strong enough and skilled enough to stay off his knees during this move. Because he can! Also if for any reason the move fails, and opponent grabs him, then there is no loss of a takedown since Yazdani is still standing on his feet. This underhook lateral whip is more suited for freestyle than folk style wrestling, because when he has underhook and wrist control, and is pushing opponent out of bounds-opponent can lose 1 point for step out. Usually opponent will have feet back to resist being pushed out. Those feet being back mean there is less likely to be a foot post to stop the throw. To me, best thing about this move, including the knee drop version, is high reward and low risk. If it fails, you are unlikely to be scored on, and you can shoot it again. Sometimes you don’t even lose your grip position! Shoot till you win! Thank you for posting videos of excellent technique, working against great wrestlers.
