The detective literally just asked him how was his day that day and he starts describing in detail how he got into his ex-GF home and physically attacked her. Mind blowing.
George said the word "like" 226 times during an interrogation that lasted around an hour and a half. It was so painful to listen to him I actually downloaded a counter app on my phone and started tapping, lol!
Imagine being a parent that spent almost 200k dollars to put a kid through the best high school education money can buy only to result in this 80 IQ dudebro.
Money is not enough to raise a child well fr. I’m guessing his parents coddled him or were somewhat absent because young men don’t normally turn out this way. The fact that he only wanted to call his mom makes me think that his mother probably coddled him, while his father was stricter and scarier. Weird how boys who grow up scared of their fathers tend to try to scare women in the same way once they’re older
Education doesn't equal intelligence. A person can be intelligent yet not educated. Which is why appeal to authority is known as a logical fallacy. People can have degrees and be less intelligent than those without degrees
Female detective was freaking FLAWLESS. The male detective was so bad compared to her. Loved her glares at him, he interjected at the completely wrong time. Infuriating. But she saved it each time.
Honestly, I wonder if his incompetence helped her bring pressure. When she shuts him down, it definitely shows a sense of superiority to the way she talks. It’s pretty intimidating.
Like every profession there are good ones bad ones and great ones. She was ment to be a detective. Man or women has nothing to do with it, she is a smart person and knows how people work, prolly from a lifetime of experience.
Him complaining about Yeardley being "defensive" when he was criminally trespassing and physically assaulting her is the most egregious form of victim blaming I've ever heard
Classic narcissist thought process "God, I just want to tell you my exact feelings at this exact time with your undivided attention in the middle of the night, why are you making me resort to violence???"
At one point he says that she was positioning herself against the corner almost "aggressively". Imagine that. Perceiving a person's fear as violence against you.
Please come back, again! If it’s monetization or lack of from YT, I guarantee if you crowdfund before posting you’ll make the same amount you’d make over time from being demonetized. You are an original creator, you made an entire genre on RU-vid and left! Please come back, there’s no videos as good as yours in this category 😭
This is the only channel to which I would be compelled to pay a membership just so we can get more videos. His material is so good. I keep coming back to rewatch the old videos.
from what ive read and being on his old patreon. it seems his problem is youtubes damn overregulating and taking down his videos. loved his patreon because there were great breakdowns but he gave up on there too.
When he said “and I was just like, I like, and, and she was like uh like not like, like, you know, she was like, you know” he actually sounded pretty convincing…
Well he was like uh defensive like you know uhm like how you would react when you know uh... whats the Word? A Fish. You know. Like a fish and be like glup glup yeah you know
They asked almost zero questions. Dude just said “so here’s what happened after I broke into my ex girlfriend’s apartment. I did hit her a little bit but she also gave herself most of the injuries just fyi. Like, such a bad situation, ya know? Anyway.” Then was shocked when he was arrested.
The investigator literally just asked "What were you doing yesterday?" and in response he confessed to trespassing and assault completely unprompted. What a genius.
"What were you doing yesterday?" Well GOLF most importantly. And I broke through my ex gf's door, shook her, threw her on the bed, and stole her laptop as collateral. WBU?
Is it so hard to believe the dude only thought that he was going to be charged with assault and theft and that's why he talked? I understand that even if she didn't die, he'd still be looking at some pretty hefty charges such as home invasion and the like. But he probably didn't understand the gravity of the situation and thought it was merely assault and theft, nothing to hide because if the police have caught up with him, then they must know something happened with her. So he thinks he'll tell his side of the story, get charged, bailed, and can go home to bed. Obviously a good rule of thumb is to never talk to the police, but if it's clear they have some idea of what went on, then if you shut down and request a lawyer and refuse to speak to them, then they'll get shitty at you and lock you up for however many days. But if crime isn't something massive and you give them your side of the story, you'll just get processed and get to go home.
We miss you, JCS. I know YT is hard to deal with sometimes, so I understand that it can be difficult to work in their parameters. I wish you all the best and can only hope that you release some more videos. You absolutely are a pioneer in this type of video and replay your older videos on repeat. Your breakdowns are legendary and the view points you have are incredibly insightful. Thank you for all you have done and for paving the way for my favorite genre of videos. You are still the G.O.A.T of interrogation/criminal analysis.
It's like RU-vid doesn't like money. "wow this channel gets like over 10 million views with every upload! SHUT IT DOWN NOW! ITS NOT JAKE PAUL OR A CREEPY CARTOON FOR BABIES!!!
This is one of those situations where the person is so mind-numbingly stupid that being mad at him doesn't even feel like a fruitful use of emotions. He's like a tornado personified, there's nothing in there to be reasoned with, he was just going to destroy whatever was in his path without a single thought, not because he was evil, not because he was trying to protect some sort of self image, but just because he existed.
@@beepatpen that is not alcohol. That man is cognitively stunted. Somehow his brain just stopped developing at some early stage... I guess no one ever challenged him or encouraged him to learn
@@beepatpen also, if he was drunk enough to have any effect on what he said, he would be slurring his words. He's talking too fast for alcohol to play any part here
@@bensblues ??? Say like a bunch is a common nervous tic and making up lies is hard, especially if you were recently in a physical altercation and drunk I don't see what any of this has to do with him being "cognitively stunted"
this video is such a good example of why JCS id the best channel of the genre. the consistent breakdown of the small happenings are not only paced for entertainment's sake, but to provide helpful information to the audience. almost every other channel has some combination of unnecessary jokes/interruptions, nothing helpful to say, or a total lack of useful editing. Would crowdfund more of this in a second.
So true all the wannabe JCS channels drive me crazy because they pause the video to say something completely unnecessary and stupid. They're trying to sound smart but they just say common sense things that have 0 psychology in them.
The way he just so nonchalantly admits to abusing her and invading her space is CRAZY. I wonder if in his mind what he was doing was normal, or at least not that bad.
Probably sees it as she pushed him to that point or something to that effect that in one way or another it's her fault this happened. He reminds me of Richer Breault from TCAP Riverside, check it out.
In regards to the computer mystery and why George took it, I believe he took it in order to force Yardley into talking to him again in order get it back. He left her phone so it wasn’t to silence her and he clearly didn’t realise the extent of what he’d done so I doubt it was to hide anything. That’s the most likely explanation IMO. You’re welcome, Detective Ed Shuddup.
I almost feel bad for him.. almost. Love and her family has all my real sympathy, here comes this bumbling idiot thinking he could punch and beat a 110lb girl.. it was chilling to hear him say 'she should have been screaming". Then he wants to call his mommy. A woman who likely was enabling his bad behavior his whole life. His dad probably wasn't present enough to notice that his son was a violent drunk. Poor Yardley..Rest in peace ❤
More importantly, a 'mommy' who continues to insist that her son shouldn't be guilty of murder because Yeardley didn't die for *hours* after he left, so it's not his fault she died (or something to that effect). Which is certainly a very interesting way of viewing the issue. And yes, a few people (who misunderstand how murder charges work) get twitterpated about the murder/manslaughter thing, but those people *mostly* aren't arguing, basically, that Dumdum is innocent on the grounds that someone else could have saved the victim and nobody did.
Like bruvuddy what the stuff like you know like talking about like his like way of speech is like completely like totally like normal i dont like see the like problem here??
I’m only at the 19 min mark but here my biggest observation so far: Money can’t buy intelligence. This guy is barely coherent. And this has to be the detective’s easiest confession in their entire career. Wow.
24:04 Frightening how if he had not gone voluntarily and had instead been arrested, remained silent, and got a lawyer that this excuse could have been used extensively by his defense. Very lucky that money can’t buy brains.
This comment is incredibly rude. At worst he has disabilities, but probably that’s just how he is. He was not a good man, but insulting that about him doesn’t just insult him, but everyone who shares that accpect with him. Come on guys, be mature
if it was about the stammering, plenty of people do that, especially when stressed. it’s not a good trait, but don’t say it’s only something someone 6 would do. That’s just rude
It never ceases to amaze me how big strong men can toss around petit women and have no idea of the harm they are doing. His shock at having killed her is genuine, yet he inflicted such force, enough to give her brain damage and end her life. This is why the saying goes that “a man should never lay hands on a woman”. Unfortunately, this phrase is now poo pooed as chauvinistic, which is so far from the real reasoning behind it.
and there's people who genuinely believe it's cool for biological men to compete against women in sports. Hell no. Look at the damage a man can do. Imagine this guy playing volleyball against a 5'4 woman.
I think a lot of men aren't getting into as many fights so a lot of them do not know what it is like to get hit by a man. They literally can't understand the terrible effects it can have on a man, let alone on a woman.
Masterclass in criminal psych vids. You’re the only one I 💯. Thank you for your work and your perfect breakdowns. I wish you were on Netflix. Godmode. Miss u, hope u post soon.
He did use the word 'ensued' at one point. It was like a rose growing out of a concrete sidewalk of of "like." That impressive $50k a year education at work.
I don’t think I’ve ever watched an interrogation quite like this, this man outright confessed to everything without even knowing it. I have also never been so annoyed by someone’s use of language in an interrogation the way this man annoyed me. If I ever have to hear the word “like” used as filler again I just may explode
I think he was fully mentally prepared for a jail sentence that he could maybe knock down to a fine his parents would pay, but I don't think it even occurred to him that prison for murder was even a possibility. Hence that reaction.
That trial is infuriating. His teammates testifying against him knew he was abusing her but never reported him at the time. Her neighbors heard her being beaten but never checked in on her - not even in the two hours that she lay dying. Noone gave a damn until she was dead. Disgusting.
This is one of the saddest stories I’ve ever heard but I seriously cannot stop laughing at this dude. He’s such a stereotypical lax bro talking about murdering his ex girlfriend and says “it was like just like not like… a good conversation, you know?”
It says a bit for the American college system when a dude like this can be on a full boat lacrosse scholarship yet struggle to string a coherent sentence together.
Dude he honestly had no idea she was dead. He thought they were fucking with him. Because the entire time he was speaking to the police he was under the impression he was only going to get a simple assault charge
The male officer: “I got your back partner, don't you worry, I watched Matlock in a bar last night. The sound wasn't on, but I caught the gist of it.".
So glad you're back. That being said, I'm maybe 5 minutes into the actual interrogation and I've already had more "like"(s) than I can tolerate. I'm glad this rich boy prick was never given a talk about how and when to talk or not talk to cops.
@@Person-rv5tl It wasn't his first incident though, according to witness testimony a coach had previously heard cries for help, and opened a door on him strangling Yeardley. Why police were not called after that incident is beyond me. Perhaps they were and she declined to press charges. That info isn't covered in this video, which is the only I've seen on this case.
where did this take place? sounds like a california surfer accent [edit] Virginia! thank you for the responses, I don't need anymore people to tell me though I appreciate all of your helpfulness
You guys!!! The Jussie Smollett video is your best piece of work in my opinion! So masterfully done. Just leaving that here cause it was my favorite video and I can’t find it. Y’all were so eloquent yet savage. It’s a masterpiece. 😢 hate y’all had to take it down.
The amount of excitement I feel FINALLY seeing the return of JCS.... Hopefully everything's figured out and you all don't wind up screwed over by RU-vid again. No content compares to these videos.
I can only imagine this young man’s drama paper was the most insightful and elaborate piece of modern commentary ever written, and it’s a shame mankind will never see its completion.
I can like only like imagine this like young like man's like drama like paper like was like the most like insightful and like elaborate like piece of like modern like commentary like ever written, and like it's a shame like that like mankind will like never like see it's like completion.
How does a guy born into generational wealth and being sent to a prestigious school end up talking the way he does? I'm pretty sure I felt my brain cells slowly withering away while listening to him speak.
You really are the rare one, I’ve enjoyed other videos in this genre you created - but years later, no one has been able to match or improve upon your formula.
I might be really naïve, or gullible, but I was convinced that he really thought that he hadn’t killed her. That he just wanted to “rough her up” for the “cheating”. The fact that he didn’t use any weapon at all helps me believe that. 2nd degree murder it is.
I agree. I think he genuinely didn’t think nor had the intent to killer her when he went there. But he is an abuser and and was probably drunk as hell. He was trying to teach her a lesson but accidentally killed her instead and just left. Not shifting any of the blame from him at all but his parents are also to blame, never holding their son accountable for anything and letting him do whatever he wanted because they are extremely wealthy. Just a toxic family
@@Logicalsane like your username is really like the epitome of what a lie looks like yk maybe someday you'll get a brain but like idk it seems impossible for a troll to get one nowadays 😊
@@Logicalsaneis this about the comment or the video? Either way, it doesn’t make sense in the context of any of these things. If this is about the suspect defending himself…the facts is that he broke and entered into Yardley’s place and beat her to death. I don’t see how he was defending himself, seeing as if he attacked her first. If this is about the comment, Detective Ed interrupted at inappropriate times and could’ve ruined this interrogation. It had nothing to do with gender.
If it weren’t such a serious situation, his decision to say, through tears, “True That”, when the Detective mentions needing your family now more than ever, would be absolutely hilarious.
It's why I don't hang out with people who are drinking. I get made fun of a lot and miss out on some things but my life is practically drama free and peaceful.
@@faraazali9589 And also as a college athlete, who probably was used to getting into all sorts of trouble and then out of it with a slap in the wrist - because they are too valued by the institution to be expelled or face any real consequences. "My drama paper is due right now". Why would someone facing criminal charges ever willingly say that while being held by the police? This guy literally thinks he's talking to a school figure (as Jim aptly points out) and he thinks he knows all the steps to the dance: deny as much as possible, downplay what you can't deny, "I'm not a bad guy". Entitled rich kid, coddled college athlete who 100% believed he would walk away from assault charges without a scratch even though he trespassed, broke down a bedroom door to gain entry, refused to leave when told to and eventually left the scene leaving a bleeding and unconscious woman on her own bed - by his own telling of the story! This guy literally thought he'd just walk away with it - because he did, every time prior to that. He thought he would get away with literally anything short of murder. Yeardley's death is as much his fault as it is everyone else's who taught him he could do no wrong throughout all of his life. I bet prison's taught him a lot.
Like what are you talking about you know? Like he seemed like he was just like trying to be pretty honest like you know for the most part. Like seriously... It's like pretty obvious that he's like pretty sorry and everything you know. Plus, his uncle, D.L., is a total racist, so he's got that going for him... which is nice.
@@gracehopkins3113 I don't think he believed in himself. He probably just wanted to get this over with expecting he would be charged for assault and that's it. He didn't seem very confident throughout the whole thing.
Wow.. this blew me away. I went to UVA in the 80s, so this case caught my attention when it happened .. but I didn’t see this or follow it that much. It’s so sad for everyone.. he really didn’t seem to know he killed her.. but geez.. I guess a wealthy family doesn’t mean you know how to treat people. His voice and diction is like Jeff Spicoli / Valley Boy tho almost comically exaggerated. So sad all around. 😢😢
Just a young detective that just needs to be quiet. Let the guy talk. You got nothing but time. Right ur question down and save it til the guy is done spewing his bs lies and incriminating info. Gotta be detective work 101...shut up if the suspect is talkin. It aint that hard.
All she did was ask him about his week and he completely confessed to the murder. She didn’t even get to step 2 of her interrogation, he’s just so oblivious to how horrid his actions are.
I think he really thought he was being questioned for an assault and not murder. The fact that he was so casual about talking about putting his hands on her is scary though!
Since he apparently didn’t actually punch her, I think he thought this was going to be a minor assault charge that his rich family would minimize into a misdemeanor
In case you’re wondering, this man said the word “like” **239** times (From the beginning of the investigation to the end, no ‘backup’ moments included) (also also, I had counted these on the trust piece of paper, and could be missing / including some extra. Point still stands though.)
You don't need to do any of this manually. There is free AI software that's able to detect words and spit out how many times, and it doesn't have to watch or listen to the audio for the duration, it can analyze the data and spit it out in about 5 seconds.
I wonder what the guy behind the videos actually sounds like 🤔 what with this guy being a paid actor and all, he has his own RU-vid channel! (Not hating at all, just found it interesting when I found out myself) EDIT: the man behind the voice of JCS is 'Kizzume' on RU-vid! He does voice-over work as well as other 'thought piece' type videos or just discusses random topics :) (JCS and Kizzume are 2 separate entities)
And this channel isn’t drowning in the narcissism of some of the other Yt channels covering this case, where they talk about how they feel about the case and plaster their face throughout the video. Please never leave us again!
Detective Ed is truly one of the greatest and smartest minds of our time. I got shivers when he would not let go of that laptop mystery until he solved it like a bloodhound. When Ed is around you can sleep easy knowing your prime suspect will certainly be charged with a minor misdemeanor
I find it to be worse that someone kills someone else without the proper intent to do so; such an individual is even MORE dangerous than someone who kills with intention of doing it. His words at the very end of his Interrogation are truly heartbreaking because he's completely clueless about his incredible bodily force and how fragile a young girl is. It's truly scary beyond belief. I blame his father for not having been teaching his son about these differences. Now they have to pay a high price for that negligence. Det. Lisa was fantastic. I saw in her body language that she did not fully trust her colleague Ed. And justly so.
It's weird that they put him on a suspected murder case. You think they'd have him train on some lighter interrogations before plunging him into the deep end
