Nice work guys! I think this is the first time I haven’t preferred a bigger board than Davey. I’m the same height and shoe size but a good 55 lbs lighter and I’m always amazed at how small he likes boards. But with the Pyzel, the 164w was too much for me in tough snow. It tossed me around. Also I think Pyzel base is “sintered spec” so not quite true sintered. Which I think is a letdown considering the price.

Love the reviews! Curious how think the Pyzel and Standard Uninc compare to the Warca? Considering all of these as someone with size 11 boot looking for more aggressive board that can bomb a bit but still nimble and can still ride decent switch. Thanks!

Thanks! All three are great boards. The shorter wider Warca is more fun for a tapered but centered feeling ride. Of all three it feels the most centered and the least set back in pow. The Standard Uninc is the best one board quiver if you see a little of everything and want more consistent grip from tip to tail. They Pyzel is the hardest charging of all three and has the most directional float in pow with the taper and set back inserts. The standard is a great all mountain freestyle, quiver of 1. Twin, volume shifted, great side cut, pow-set back. If you want it to work in pow, as well as park/piste, id take the cam/rock "standard" Standard. Literally needs to be 3 feet deep before you switch to a POW board. The Uninc full camber version is more park/piste focused. I own The Greats and a 420 pow board(amongst others), if i didn't, i would have bought a Standard. I was really disappointed with the Pyzel, very meh for the money, and i think the Warca is too fat. Its slow edge to edge, like a better version of the twinpig. Full camber on the "ultra wides" really make the transition feel like an eternity. If you want a volume shifted tapered YES that works everywhere, the Hybrid is awesome. Not as hard core/freeride as a PYL, not as boaty as the Warca. Perfect mix. Defo worth a test ride. Pretty good switch for a tapered and fun in the park, but that's not where it shines. Piste and pow are its natural habitat.

They are kind of a combo between the Warca and Standards but share more personality traits with the Standards. That is why I referenced those. Warca is a short/wide with more taper so it acts a good bit different on snow even vs. the Pyzel.

I’m 5’10” at 165lbs with size US11 boots. What size do you think would be best in the Pyzel?

Sorry I missed this. I would say the 158 will fit your boot size (its pretty wide over the inserts) but it's a lot of board for 165lbs so it depends on your ability level and several other factors. Get the Yes Hybrid, a way better board for the same money. Better base, better core, more volume, more room where your feet go, more effective edge even on a shorter board, and just works better everywhere. A 153 hybrid gets you 1cm2 less surface area and 1 cm less effective edge than a 158 pyzel, you wont notice that but it will be so much more maneuverable.
