The wall can be one of your very best props for grounding and deepening your poses - try it!

Today we are using the wall to ground, stabilize and go deeper into our yoga postures while feeling fully supported in this hip, hamstring and lower back practice (kidney & bladder meridians). This practice will deeply stretch your inner thighs, hamstrings and open your hips! Enjoy!
Props: 1 blanket (optional) OR beach towel (blanket: amzn.to/2v0U0eh) 1 block or large book (block: amzn.to/2sIEm6L) and 1 bolster or pillow (bolster: amzn.to/2sO56md)

Fantastic. My Vata nature loves the addition of the stability of the wall to the grounding on the floor 🙏 And it is a great way for me to do squat pose which I otherwise struggle a lot with.

i liked using the wall to stretch especially sphinx pose i felt it in my quads. Your an amazing teacher Aprille and so glad i subscribed. Also your soft voice really relaxes me. Thanks so much for the great videos.

Lucy will love that! I did have to cut a bit of video where Lucy attacked the curtain ghosts with a great deal of vehemence and not a lot of grace (landing on my leg with a crunch) but she was helpful in the rest of the practice. I am so glad you enjoyed this practice - I think I might use the wall more often as it was SO grounding and felt really nice. Have a wonderful weekend! I really enjoyed this class to open my hips, legs, and lower back. I had spend this morning pulling the plants from my garden and getting the seeds for next year. I liked using the wall for the support when doing the poses. I will do this class more often so that I am able to work in garden with more ease. I just cleared my veggie garden too and began my winter garden a few weeks back (too bad it's been so hot and the seeds are scared to come out). Love the yin wall to do in bed before I sleep. Put pillows underneath my legs to support it from spreading too wide. Feels a bit quiet though, maybe need some slow music on the background to give ambient of relaxation ?

I think wall yoga is my favorite! Question about the wall squat - should my bottom be touching the ground? I couldn't quite tell in the video. Thanks for another great class!🙏🏼

If you can and it feels okay, go ahead but if you don't want to go that deep, you can use a block under your bum for support.

You can have your bum touch the floor if that is available for you but if that is too much or you want to explore other ways, try using a block under your hips at different heights to see how that feels!

Hi Aprille, I love this! Do you have anything to help my daughter who just started a new exercise programme and needs a session on stretching/releasing butts and thighs. She is really feeling it after her first session. She’s 37 with no real issues apart from her back. Anything you can up with will be greatly appreciated! Regards Isabella ❤️
