Dr. Geeta Kadayaprath is one of the few lady breast surgeons in India. Dr. G is a well-known name in the field of breast cancer surgery and also non-cancerous breast surgeries. Dr. G started her Surgical Oncology career 20 years ago and very early on, decided to subspecialize in the field of breast cancer.
Dr. G completed her fellowship in the prestigious Breast Unit of Royal Marsden Hospital, London, in 2003-2004. Royal Marsden is known for being the largest comprehensive cancer center in the Europe.
Over the years, Dr. G has gained valuable experience in treating a whole range of cancers. She is passionately involved in execution of the entire range of breast related surgeries recommended for breast cancer including modified radical mastectomies, breast conservation surgeries, onco-plastic breast conservation surgeries, mastectomies with immediate reconstruction, sentinel lymph node biopsies, stereotactically localized and ultrasound guided wire localized excision of impalpable lesions, etc.
Dr. G aims to make a difference to the lives of patients suffering from breast cancer by providing comprehensive services targeted at not only treatment, but also care beyond care. Rehabilitation of patients with breast cancer and running a regular Breast Support group to restore the confidence of those who have completed the journey of Breast Cancer and handholding those who are in the middle of treatment, is an integral part of her selfless service.
