Thank you Adrienne! You've helped me lose 20 pounds and I feel AMAZING! I'm 54, I've been with you for almost a year. I'm in I fell much better than when I was doing Nautilus, or Zumba. I'm in better shape now than I was in my 20's so.........thank you XOXO
Wow … I just turned 60 … found this video and noticed the first comment was from a fellow ‘newly minted’ sexagenarian … I love these movements … I will be racing tomorrow …. Not sure what will happen but I’m going in with far less stress b/c of this session !!
Hi Adriene, I have been cycling for decades. I recently turned 60. Even though my weight has remained, essentially, the same for the last 20 years, my average speed while cycling has declined and climbing hills has gotten harder. Until recently that is. I have been doing your Yoga For Cyclists practice (as well as others) for the last 7 months. In that time my average speed has increased from around 13 MPH to just over 16 MPH! Climbing is still tough, but I am staying out of low gear more often. The only thing which has changed was adding your cycling practice to my yoga routine. Thank you creating this wonderful practice. Namaste
Deaun Zasadny try doing this routine AFTER your ride!! Game changer! It almost completely eliminates post ride muscle soreness for me! I wish I did this years ago!
I always get a little stiff post a long ride, tried this a few times and it seemed to help. Your endorsement definitely keeps me motivated to continue :D
I was feeling so low when I started the practice. And was doubting if this was the right practice for me today. But as I did the ending gesture of Namaste, my mind, and my body felt recharged and renewed. Thank you Adriene, you bring life to my life.
Build, April 25, 2024. Not a cyclist and limited mobility on a couple poses (looking at you pigeon pose) but I make adjustments as usual. During that process I noticed that my flexibility had improved and gave the practice a little less side eye. Also hadn't noticed how quickly the time flew by. Enjoying all the changes since January's Flow. Namaste on this Sunday
Another lovely practice that my silly self might've skipped if not for Build Day 28 and I would've been poorer for it. I'm sore from yesterday and was almost dreading downward dog and then we didn't do it. 😯If you told me the butt massage maneuver at the end was called wild thing, I would've believed it. Thank you for continually showing me new ways to find what feel good!
Hey! I used to be a competitive cyclist, but then I got injured and now I just cycle for fun. I've been into Adrienne's lessons for a while now but I only watched the cycling specific one for the first time today. I want to thank you for teaching me the piriformis massage!!! It's wild that i can now do it with no tools. I no longer have to travel with massage balls or a foam roll, i can literally do it with my own body! I'm very impressed
I am by no means a cyclist, but I have very tight muscles and this was one of my favorites for the lower body! Will definitely be coming back to this one. 😊
Blessed Beloved Beauties! Build Day - 28 is right on time for my calisthenics 🤸🏿, weight training 💪🏿, and speed run. 🏃🏿 My cells, organs, muscles , and nerves are lubricated and strengthened. I feel amazing. How are you all feeling? Best wishes, everyone! 🦋❤️🦋
Jeez! I had no idea I was carrying so much emotion in the hips! It was so intense, I actually almost gave up, but instead I paused and took a long breathing break, then came back. I finished feeling hopeful, open and calm, ready for the day ahead of me. This is exactly why I love yoga- it's the best reality check, the healthiest way to ease stress, a true wonder for your entire being. I'm beyond grateful that I am on this journey. Sending love to yours💕
I felt a little pain on my leg so I wasn't sure about coming to the mat, but when I checked the video for today I thought I would do it and change something if it was too much, turns out it was just what I needed, and now the pain is no more, I'm so happy I had to share lol
I've been a cyclist for a few years but I have a new coach and they are keen to get me doing yoga too. Excited to see where this goes. Thanks for a great video! 💕💕💕
Hi Adrienne, I’m near 62 and been engaging with your yoga adventures for several years now. As a cyclist I’ve felt so much more agile on the bike, flexible and in turn relaxed on the it. Thanks a whole bunch.
Day 541 This month is so weird for me, so much is happening, I'm mixing practices just to be able to do something each day. But I'm still here. Namaste! 🙏
Dear Adriene, if you ever feel like you look like a fool, be reminded that you are helping millions of people around the world find what feels good to them. To me, because I am one of “them”, and I truly appreciate your gifts to the world! Thank you! To the community, there will be times when we look foolish, and there will be times when we do foolish things, but then we can reconnect, recentre and learn. Love to all!
Beautifully said! Thank you for expressing "our" gratitude for Adriene so well, and for your encouraging and uplifting words for us all. I love that we are all "looking foolish" together...and feeling great while doing so!
@@ellenp.4873 Thank you for your kindness! I just see so much "hustle for the like", "chase people to sell things" and Adriene and her community are a breath of fresh air, in the humility, quality and kindness. I love that we're all "looking foolish" and spreading the joy! It's what the world needs!
I’ve been a cyclist for many years but recently have been suffering with a little sciatica and groin pain. Doing this routine three or four times a week has really helped to clear it up. Thank you so much.
7/6/23: this was one of the first ywa videos that i did, so i had soooo many flashbacks to myself as a baby yogi!! i also realized throughout this practice that my hips are MUCH less tighter than they were when i first started doing yoga! in fact, i was having alot of hip pain when i tried out yoga a few years ago, and now i've realized that i haven't had any problems with my hips for quite a while now!! yoga has helped me physically and mentally so much ❤

Build day 28 (April 2024). Thank you Adrienne for this practice. I keep healing my soul and body with your classes. Namaste 🙏🏻
did this video today because I went on a 30 km bike ride with my mum in the beautiful autumn sunshine and my legs were craving a good stretch☀️ 🧘♀️ then after practice, as I always do, I checked the newest comments and I was surprised to see that this was today's practice in the calendar as well! what a pleasant surprise💛 nice to see how many people I shared my practice with today✨ have an amazing weekend everybody🦋💛
Adriene, I’ve had the most tenacious hip problem to the point where I can’t even remain standing for more than ten minutes. As a competitive cyclist, this has been embarrassing. I’m going to do this practice every morning and now am on a journey to discover how yoga can enrich my athletics and my life. Thank you so much.
This was a great practice session. Tensions in muscles and body have relaxed and I am feeling better. Coming after navratri (nine nights), fasting and worshipping the divine feminine, I'm feeling more in tune with Adrienne voice and instructions. 🙏🕉️🌺💜
Been doing your yoga playlist, one a day for a month, cured my carpel tunnel that I'd had for years that really messed with my biking. Unreal, Thank You 🙂
BUILD 🔥 | April 28, 2024 | This beauty is an absolute love letter to the lower body, and goes by so fast! Super yummy on this spring Sunday, thank you! 🙏
I am a physiotherapist and a cyclist and my own worst enemy when it comes to stretching, lol. At 58 I need to keep mobility a priority if I want to keep cycling and paddling. This is a beautiful sequence, thank you for sharing your experience so freely with your fans. You are much appreciated
Wow, this was nice. I had not done this sequence before. It helped loosen up quite a few tight areas and uplifted my mood a bit. Enjoy! Expand day 24. 263 days in a row.
💖thank you so much Adriene! This feeling of leaping off the mat and into a better day is amazing. A cheerful day to all in this beautiful community and onto your bikes 😉💕!
Expand day 13! I went on a bike ride with a friend today and felt really tired after it, so when I saw this practice on the calendar I was not so pumped up about it because I was hoping for a short one today. And only a few minutes later it hit me that this practice was just what I needed today because of the theme of it. Adriene’s calendar always synchronizes with my life) Thank you, Adriene and YWA community🧡🧡🧡
That was brilliant, thank you Adriene. 😊 I had a party to go to yesterday, my Aunties 60th. It went well, but I'm feeling it today. 😀 so this yoga practice, was really nice to loosen all my tight muscles. Thank you for all your loving, gentle, and kind yoga practices. You are awesome, Namaste my friend. 🙏 ❤
Happy Sunday, Fluffy! It's nice to reconnect with you. Ironically, my Auntie 🥳 celebrated her Solar Return as well on Friday. That session is awesome before a run. Now, I'm ready for the second half of my workout. 💪🏿 Do you have any big plans for this Sunday? It's so nice to see you. 🦋❤️🦋
@@zuriwilson-seymore8939 Happy Sunday too Zuri! Yes it's nice to hear from you too. 😊 that's so funny, what a small world I hope she had a lovely day? I hope you had a good run, and rest of your workout? Yeah actually celebrating my dad's birthday today, it's been a week of birthdays lol.😆 have a good rest of your day, Namaste. 🙏
@@fluffyross2297 Thanks Fluffy! It is indeed a small world. She had a blast. I hope you and your, Auntie had fun. My work out was amazing. Thanks for asking. Enjoy your Father's celebration. Happy Born Day to him. I miss my Father so much. He elevated 11 years ago and often I have a good cry. Thanks, I'm about to do some grading now. Enjoy your night!🎂
@@zuriwilson-seymore8939 yeah it really is. 😀 yeah she did, it was a great celebration. I'm glad your workout went well, hope you have a nice rest now. Thank you, he had a good day, I'm sorry about your father, its hard one you lose a loved one. It's good to let stuff out with a cry, I'm slowly learning that with yoga. I hope the grading goes well, and you have a good day. 🧡
When I look at the length of the videos in Shift I'll admit I feel intimidated. 23 minutes of my experience of group classes is heavy sweating, an instructor telling you to push yourself, loads of chaturangas. But the practice on Yoga With Adriene is challenging but also meditative. Time just flies by. Thank you.
I hope this doesn't get lost in the comments! But I would love a yoga for insomniacs because sometimes I find it so hard to sleep and to get comfy and relax! Lots of love x
Actually, every Adriene's video can be considered as such, but you can try "Yoga for Anxiety, Movement Medicine for Calm or Yoga for bedtime" in particular or some of her relaxing and calming meditation videos to help you relax before you are off to bed :) Hope it helps :)
Great workout! Sides feel worned out and stretched. Lower back started tight, but now its loosey goosey! It feels good to be lower back pain free!! Thanks Kiddo!
Hi Adriene, I am not exactly the super yogi but an enthusiastic cyclist and rower.I have been following your sessions ("neck & shoulder relief/upper body", "lower back pain" and of course "yoga for cyclists") with increasing enthusiasm for some time now, primarily for regular regeneration. These are great, thank you very much! - How about a new exclusive session "Yoga for Rowers"? That would be something, of course - absolutely fabulous !!! Sporty greetings from Switzerland and thanks again anyway Giancarlo
Wow, one of the most stretchy practices I've ever done. This felt like it was designed for me today, I was so tight and achy everywhere. Thank you Adriene, and the 100 amazing people who practiced with me today all over the world!❤️ Namaste.🙏
Adrienne, this has been my number one "go to" video of yours for my lower back and leg pain. This helps me on the bike and, as you say, in life. Thank you.
I loved this amazing practice although I'm not a cyclist! I walk a lot and my neighbourhood is mountanious therefore I sometimes feel pain in my gluts or thighs after walking! This practice was really soothing after the walk today! Thank you Adriene!😍❤
I jumped ahead with our June Expand calendar. While doing my yoga outside in my backyard, i was watching the blowing birch tree during my left shoulder "thread the needle stretch" and Adriene, you said,"the trees are really blowing out there today." Literally blew my mind!! Never alone, always connected together.....yoga. ❤️🧘🏼♀️🙏🇨🇦
Love that! The same thing happened to me when she said - if you know the anatomy, think about the muscles your stretching. I’m a massage student and right before she said it, I had the thought to connect what I’m learning about the body to my yoga practice.
Blessed Beloved Beauties! I substituted Play Day - 8 for 5-min Morning Yoga.🧘🏾♀️ Perhaps I will return to this session later, yet the overall agility experienced from the substituted practice is exactly what I needed. I start a new virtual opportunity Monday to assist the youth with reading. 📚 There are many things that need to be reviewed for the proper preparation to be successful working a new system; therefore, time is of the essence. Plus my brother and niece and nephew are in town. There's much to study and quality time with family needed. Please send love, light, balance, and success, and pace my way. Best wishes everyone! Hotep! 🦋❤❤🦋
I truly enjoy doing all of your yoga practices. I love cycling and now that I have done this practice for the first time before going out cycling I will continue do so each time before I go cycling. You are truly amazing and I especially admire what you have done to help people all over the world to live healthier lives with your yoga practices and wisdom. Thank you, Ina
Thank you Adriene for this video. Would be great if you made a version for cyclists with knee problems like myself! Knee injuries are a big reason why many turn to the sport. :)
Wow Adriene that was amazing! Thank you for this yoga practice i feel so good now. I started my day feeling quite good, but now its just out of this world how wonderful my body feels. Thank you so much for bring the gift of yoga into my life. Namaste wonderful lady, you are Awesome. 🙏🧡
Build Day 28 April 2024🚀 What an excellent practice that made me feel alive again after the strength training) Thank you, Adriene ❤ Thank you everyone ❤
Adrienne- I missed this practice yesterday and nearly missed today's on the 2021 EXPAND calendar. I couldn't get out of bed today until 3pm. It took so much energy to get here and some days it is truly difficult to go about doing most things, but I am so glad I showed up in the past because I can now keep doing my best to show up, even when it is hard. And when I fall off the daily yoga wagon, I can just pick back up again. You and this practice and everyone else practicing help me continue on, and I am always more energized when I leave the mat. Thank you.
This sequence is awesome ! I can go for days with tight achey lower back and hips from too much desk time + cycling as my main sport and this sequence makes me feel brand new !! I sometimes throw in a wood stacker pose at the end for extra spicy stretching of hips and IT bands + a quad stretch . Adriene - always brilliant !
Oct 8, 2022 05:41 Intention : play to have a full body experience I find myself playful these days things that have to be done now seems to be jouful rather than a task to accomplish during the day, these morning rituals are really helping me to experience life to the fullest. Thank you Adriene Have a great weekend beautiful souls Namaste 🙏
As an avid mountain biker and road cyclist I found this routine awesome for helping my recovery and winding down after cycling sessions. You rock Adrienne! 🙏
I have just returned to my bike after many years and this is the first yoga I have ever done in my life. Adriene thank you so much, it is was brilliant and now it will be part of my training. Awesome stuff.
Wow, THANK U Adriene for adding this to PLAY NOt a cyclist however loving the stretch n flow ... esp leg baby stretch to close - sooo lovely! Just what I needed today as body & mind - tight / a bit anxious ... Namaste to all practising and May you be Mindful n be at ease as you Play
PLAY 🪁 | October 8, 2022 | Truly one of my favourite practices and it's been a while since it was on the calendar. It is so therapeutic for the hips, hamstrings and glutes and I sure needed it! It's so true when Adriene says each side of the body is different because my right glute needed that massage so much more than the left. Feeling so good, relaxed and connected now! 🙏🧘♀
Although I am not a cyclist, I have SO many in my family, one a 24 hr endurance and the other a triathlete so I’ll pass this practice on. Super stretchy, I really enjoyed the resting pigeon and the freestyle hip/glute massage at the end. Nice one Adriene 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💞
I have been doing yoga for two decades and I've NEVER thought about having soft glutes during bridge! A little gamechanger every day from this channel...
Adriene, that lower back massage...wow. It's been so helpful for this pelvis-injured bike lover who also happens to write (sitting, at a desk) for a living. Thank you.
I wish I could like this video every time I use it. I used to do this after riding to prevent back pain, but now I use it whenever I have even a twinge. For me, it is the best of the back pain yoga sequences. It deserves more views!
Thanks so much Adriene. As a cyclist I forget how much this practice is great to loosen everything up. I especially love the baby rock at the end. Sooooooo good!!
Play Day 8 🙏 🇨🇦 Thanksgiving wknd - much to be grateful for in my life 💛 YWA, family, friends, my body & mind 🙏 May you all find small & large blessings in your lives 💛🙏 Remember to Play ✌️
Yesterday I got on a bike again, the last time was probably about four years ago. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. Had such a good time but now I am quite stiff, almost like a zombie. So I turned to Adriene again asking for help. This practice eased my stiffness and left me feeling good. It also made me realise I can find enjoyment in everything. I will treat my jogging/running differently now
Oct. Play Day 08:10:22 ✅ 🏞️💞🌅🧘🏾♀️👌🏾This was so needed today. Deep soothing stretches, just right for my chest, shoulders and calves, though not a regular cyclist but really grateful. Warm day to you all💫🤸🙌🏾🤸 Namaste🙏🏾🧡🧡
I smiled through this practice as although I am not a cyclist, this was so good for this senior yogi’s gardening body. It was super stretchy for arms, shoulders, legs and aching back 😂🌺🌿🌷 ! Loving resting pigeons, I enjoyed those body lengthening moments. A fun practice, see you tomorrow on the mat for maybe one of my choice swap😉 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💕
I’ve been following you and practising daily for 4 months now. I have certainly benefitted, in terms of flexibility. I have lost weight too and now enjoy my regular walking so much more. Thank you Adriene x
Expand. Day 24 Wow! I never realised now sore my glutes were until that massage at the end! lol maybe its all the running I've done recently. Anyone else? Great practice overall, will return to this one. Thanks Adriene x
Had my second COVID-19 vaccine today, a bit of a sore arm, but I managed….tomorrow may be different…or not… think positive! Learning from your great attitude, 🙏
This is absolutely the best YWA video to undo the damage of a 12-hour shift as a bedside nurse. It hits all the overworked parts: hamstrings, glutes, low back. Leg-baby massage is a true gift!
I remember in one of the first practices I did with you you said something like "downward dog might seem hard for you now, but I promise you one day you're gonna crave it".... this was over a year ago. Now after this (wonderful!) practice I found myself ... craving a downward facing dog. BECAUSE IT'S THE BEST. I need it in every practice. So. long story short. you were right. thank you. namaste
