I, a male, did this with my girlfriend who's got terrible stomach pain due to her period. I just wanted to be empathetic with her and I really feel like the cramps I felt through her were releaved. Thank you so much for this experience!
i am a real yogi lately. i depend on yoga for all my health struggles. today i had cramps and back pain and upper back pain from work as well, everything feels so much more loose and relaxed now. thanks, you are my new yoga goto person!
this was such a beautiful practice, as usual! i was having really awful cramps and this worked better than tylenol! i also really appreciate how you emphasized gratitude for our womanly bodies, despite the vast discomforts we may endure. thank you thank you thank you
So i would never think to do yoga during my period but i downloaded this app that suggested yoga. I had bloating, cramps and my mood was in a depressing state. This is the first time i made it through 30 minutes of yoga since a year ago. Thank you so much for sharing and thinking of others!!! I feel great about my self and Im ready to have an awesome day. Bless you.
I woke starting my cycle time and cramps and low back pain. I immediately turned to my practice and found your video. It really helped me lengthen rather then go inward in both body and mind. The breath work and positive compassion thoughts were helpful! Thank you so much.
Thank you for this helpful video! Was feeling horrible and not wanting to get off the couch. I now feel refreshed, clear minded with a little ease of bloating and uncomfortableness.
In so much pain this morning - this grounded me and by the end, had a significant shift in my discomfort. I became aware of how much I had been holding on.
30 minute MIRACLE! I had amenorrhea due to cysts in my ovaries and I go years at a time with no period and this past month I have seriously taken up an at-home yoga practice and I got my period back yesterday! I am so happy and have your free yoga videos to thank! Thank you for being such an enthusiastic teacher, Brett!
I recently started doing yoga a couple weeks ago because of my mom, she’s Ill at the moment and has been trying to get me to do yoga. Now I do more than her, and this one really helped with my cramps and lower back pain. I have a really hard time with my lower back even only being 16. These movements were SO relieving thank you so much 🧘🏻♀️💕
I have been having aweful period cramps and back pain lately. My Word!!!! This instantly made my entire body relax. You are a fenominal instructor! Thank you so much!
After the practice my menstrual cramp is gone!!! And I grasped back my slow and deep breathing from the previous short and rush breaths. Definitely helped stretching and embrace more of our female bodies even going through uncomfortable moments. Thanks for the video!
I was having intense cramps when I woke up. something said to do yoga. and I came on here and found your page. I feel better. and I appreciate your description. I'm always apprehensive about yoga because I'm not super flexible and because of my size. this helped a lot! thank you
This was posted at the most perfect time, I was having the worst cramps ever today and was not motivated at all to move or practice yoga today. This video is great and very helpful! thank you so much for your motivation and inspiration to keep moving, focus on fluidity and to be thankful for everything my body does, including the uncomfortable moments. much light and love!
I was feeling more nauseous instead of cramps, but this soothing practice made the nausea go away. I really didn't even want to move but this practice was perfect for what I needed. Love all of your classes, Brett!
i am glad to have come across your video especially when the cramps pull you down and you can't workout. Thank you Brett for this highly effective session.
You are the best! I am brand new to yoga and everyone else's videos seem to fly through moves that I don't know yet. You are very good at describing the pose so I don't feel like I have to constantly be looking at my screen. You also hold poses long enough for me to be able to follow along. Thank you so much!
first time trying this and I LOVED IT !!!!!!! this was the best experience ever , I had never tried yoga until today when I got my cramps and my friend told me to do yoga I thought that was strange but now that I've tried it I can't go back to a life without yoga . You changed my life for the better ! Thank you so much ! much love !
You are so welcome!! thank you for the comment! Go deeper on all things yoga with me in my fb groups yogahackscommunity.com or my website xoxo brettlarkin.com
Amazing!! Just did your class and I don't feel any pain! Ive been having cramps for 2 days and this video gave me instant relief. Now i can go about my day. Thank youuuuu
Cramps have been getting worse each month. This helped a lot. I paired your video with some great music and also paused it a few time to hold things a little longer. I love the variety of practices you offer on your channel. Looking forward to more intense routines when I'm feeling better. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this practice! I really enjoyed your reminder to honor our bodies as women and to be grateful, for we are the vessel of life. Your gentle guide and poses helped me aid my awful cramps and back pain during this time of the month. Definitely saving this for later reference. Thank you!
I actually did this today bc I was having pain from my IBS. While my constipation didn't really ease, the pain sure did after doing this, so thank you! Namaste!
Thank you! I was in so much pain before doing this practice. I had taken ibuprofen and was on the couch with a heating pad, but it wasn't helping. This practice finally brought me the comfort and relief I needed. Thank you!
I've been struggling the past day or so, my life is very physical and today this yoga got me out of my funk and back at life despite my cramps and fatigue. This yoga was great!✌🏼🕉🙏
I really needed this today. My periods seem to be getting more painful as I get older, and this kind of yoga (and walking) seems to really help. Thank you Brett, your calming voice is very soothing which is something I feel every yoga teacher should have (and not all of them do!) Namaste 🙏
By far my favourite practice for this uncomfortable time of the month! After trying many different online practices for period cramps I can say this is one I will constantly return to each month, as it has helped so much. Thank you!
I haven't done yoga for so long, and I have really bad cramps, I found this video and try to keep up the yoga as well. Although my mind almost fall asleep because your voice is so smooth, i feel like inside my body full filled with much energy by stretching the muscles... and it def not as painful and helpless before.... thank you great videos 🙏🏼
I feel so much better now! Before that it hurts me so bad that I wanted to swallow some pill, but now I just don't feel the cramps. Added to my list to do it next time! Thank you :)
Thank you so much for this sequence. I’ve been looking for something balanced (not restorative, but not vinyasa) for when I have my period. This is perfect.
This video couldn't have been posted at a better time considering I REALLY need it right now, if ya know what I mean. Thanks Brett for always making awesome, timely yoga practices!
I did this just the other day n the first day of my cycle. The morning started out more painful than any period I had ever experienced before. The night before, I had been intimate and had experienced extreme pain that was most likely due to a burst cyst. When I found this video, I was looking for anything that would give me some sort of relief from my back and stomach pain. I could feel how much thought and care went into this yoga sequence. I felt relief throughout the sequence. Though some of the pain came back after I finished, it was definitely not as strong as before I had done the sequence. Thank you so much for this!
Today had been horrible when it came to my cramps. I stumbled across your video in an attempt to find a sequence that enable more fluid movements. Brett it is 10:07 pm in Indiana and I feel as if I can sleep well tonight because of your sequence this evening. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Normally moving makes my cramps worse, but considering i've been in severe pain from 2:00 to 17:00....I really felt like I needed to do something other than use heat, and take meds(which were not really helping)...I came across your video, and decided to give it a try. I'm so thankful for doing so, my cramps have subsided enough where I can actually move around a little more comfortably, and don't look like i'm dying. Thank you so much for your help.
Brett, this remains the most useful video on your channel for me. Thank you so much. Would you consider doing a longer version of it someday? I find that when the practice ends the cramps sometimes return. Sending you so much love!
This was absolutely exactly what I needed. I put on some soothing yoga/spa music in the background and my essential oil diffuser and... now, thanks to this practice, am feeling much better. Thanks so much for doing a practice that was long enough and involved enough to feel that "after yoga" feeling, but short and sweet enough to be feasible during this time of the month. Thanks again.
Good morning. I woke up an hour ago, cramping, I pushed myself to yoga with you and at the end, I got very emotional because of the hormones:) but mostly because I felt so much better thanks to you. Merci Brett. Have a whimsical day;)
I was in a lot of pain when I started the workout but pushed through & once I kept going Ifelt so much better. It actually helped move things along & kept the pain away through the night. Thank you so much!!
This video gaves me greats releases for my cramps and all part of my body, helps me feeling calm and more in peace with my body. Thank you a lot for making this video !
This has been my go to stretch almost every day!!!!!love your clarity, visualization, and energy Brett. Thank you for being so inviting and forgiving of any. limitations. Anyone with perfectionism issues needs your coaching. I sit taller and happier because this.
Absolutely LOVE this practice! I do this at least once a month. The way you teach yoga and speak about having gratitude for the body really helps me as I continue to do it. Thankyou for your amazing classes xxx
I haven't gotten my period yet this month, but I have been doing this in preparation! Hopefully it will reduce some of the pain to come. I know it has already helped realign my back and tailbone. Thank you for your kind, gentle spirit; always.
Thank you so much for this gentle yet juicy practice. I feel very lucky to be able to turn your videos on whenever I need and have your wise, tender guidance through my yoga class. Thank you, Brett.
Wow! I discovered where the stagnant energy was trapped in my body with the standing side stretch with palm facing up, and that swoosh! movement helped releasing it. A wonderful practice as always. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I hope you are having a great week, Brett!
I love it, at first I wasn't used to the moves but I like it cause I get to move more and I feel much better after. I always watch other PMS Yoga video but I think yours is my new favorite, I'll probably gonna repeat it again tonight cause my cramping is just getting started
Feel so much better after this! Love how you made a point of making it flowing and water-like, gentle but still active enough to really make your body feel better.
+Elidé Malagamba hooray feel better! I have a yoga for endometriosis specifically routine in my uplifted membership (upliftedyoga.com) and one coming to RU-vid hopefully in a couple weeks 💕💕🙏
Thank you SO MUCH! This video helped me to not have to take leave of another day of work and get through a long meeting. I was in extreme pain and started your class during my lunch hour. After 'happy baby', I felt so much better. I appreciate you so much for creating this for us.
Dear Brett! Thank you so much. I was also in much menstrual pain before this class, and now I feel much better! I just noticed that bridge pose - which I sneaked in while lying on the back - was SO helpful too to release some pain. That would fit in nicely there too :-). Thank you again and Namasté, Christina
Thank you so much for this practice. I recently came off of bcp and started experiencing severe back pain and cramping during my first day of my naturally driven cycle. Not only did your practice truly help my physical discomfort but your kind words were a fantastic reminder to be loving and nurturing to your body during this time of the month - especially with slightly swaying motions and encouraging the practice to be an experience of water-like flow instead of a heated flow!
I wanted to practice my usual Brett Larkin yoga today but didn't feel up to it so I did a quick search and found this, was a lovely compromise .... feeling accomplished ☺️
I did this practice on the first day of my period (which is always the worst for me) and it definitely helped my body feel more relaxed. I also noticed a difference in how bloated I was. Thank you for this!
Thank you so very much for this! My cramps were so terrible that I didn't want to move, my boyfriend insisted I try some yoga and I'm glad I listened. This really helped. Was really calming and effective. Namaste.
Thank you for this amazing video! Literally 3 minutes in and my nausea and cramps lighten up! I will be doing this video each month! Many blessings to you 💕🙌🏼💕🙌🏼💕
I opted out of an intense yoga class at the gym coz I needed something to soothe my cramps. This class was just what I needed. I feel great! Thank you Brett.
At first I was like 30 min NO WAY...then as I got into it every pose felt so great !! Everything was geared toward all the places I had tension from day 1 of my period when I all wanna do is crawl up in ball. This was so perfect and I feel so much better!!THANK YOU THANK YOU
This was great, I feel so much better! I was feeling really terrible before I did this, but I think now I'll be able to get through my day a lot easier. Thank you so much!
