I have been constipated for months and the last couple weeks have been the worst. I’ve tried so many things including visceral massage, fibrous foods, chia seeds, senna tea, etc. I did this class and had the most amazing, best bm within an hour! Incredible. Thank you!

Today I started my period a few days early and was very unprepared. I was having pretty bad cramps, along with nausea, diarrhea, and dizziness. I couldn't help my cramps without aggravating my stomach, and vice versa. This video was my savior. Yoga seems like the last thing you want or can do with cramps, but please give it a try! My savior!

I had some doubts while doing this because the moves were so simple, but I immediately was able to notice a reduction in bloating. My waistline dropped an inch from right before I did this to right after. Thank you so much! I am going to try to do this regularly.

I was suffering from constipation for 15years .I did your yoga. Now no constipation.Except this I drank 2l of water per day and drank glass of hot water early in the morning as soon as I got up.Avioded wheat flour and white rice. Thanks a lot for youryoga.

This was a lovely practice, very grateful. Would gently suggest shifting language. Lots of talk about how short the practice is and how simple the moves are. For those ppl who have mobility issues or chronic conditions, this isn't simple or short. Put a little damper on how proud I felt for getting myself to the mat today.

I have been overcoming some pretty severe physical issues and depression. I’m finally coming out the other side and introducing physical movement and exercise back into my daily life. When I started, I was feeling so terrible that I'd been pouring sweat and fighting tears. I'm still not at 100%, but I can feel the difference tremendously! I will definitely try this again later in the evening and see if a repeat gets me a little closer to feeling normal. Thank you!

I want to thank you, you helped me a lot cause I was having such a hard time especially with stress and very terrible constipation that I've been dealing with for a month now I'm only 15 so it's been really hard and had to consistently take laxatives and I'm so glad I found your video session cause I wanted a natural way to help my constipation and I finally went today without any laxatives by doing these yoga stretches thank you so much! 💗

come home at 10pm after work and second day of my period..rainy night. i am glad that I found this on my RU-vid new feeds.the title described every feeling of mine today.. finish the practice with an additional swing I learned from my yoga teacher back at Melbourne,which i would like to share here: simply swing two hands wide .. right to left ,left to right from hip level slowly up to waist .. chest .. head and up toward ceiling.swing freely with eyes closed ... goodnight.

Thanks for the video, by the end I had noticeably less stomach pain. Some of the poses were unfamiliar to me and a bit awkward at first, but once I got positioned correctly they felt so good 🧘🏼‍♀️

You are a wonderful teacher! Really enjoyed doing this sequence just now. I don't have constipation issue as such but sometimes part of my intestines hurt with a burning feeling due to which I'm unable to sleep. It was nice to get the energy flowing in my tummy area and I hope it will help with the overall gut health. I'm a great fan otherwise as well and will check out your other classes. Thank you so much! I have been constipated all my life from, ever since I can remember, which is as far back as being potty trained. I remember I conveyed to my mother that I was in pain so she put vaseline around my potty and wanted me to sit on that. I guess I couldn’t talk yet, because I remember thinking that was not going to help, but my mom wanted me to try it so I sat on it and it felt just like I knew it was going to, my butt was all greasy but she wanted me to just sit there for a while, so I did. Then my stomach hurt really bad and then I pooped a lot, which also hurt my butt hole and I think I cried. I found out when I was older that she had given me Castoria, which was a child’s laxative, that isn’t made anymore. I remember laying on the kitchen table for my first enema, which felt weird, but I didn’t cry and I pooped right away and it didn’t hurt but the water came gushing out with it. Some memories from way back involving poop - well, not pooping really! I had super bad tonsils, so I was on Penecillin from infancy til 12 years old, when I had a horrible experience having them taken out, but I never got sick again. However, I was always constipated. It didn’t seem to be a problem til a few years ago and now I’m 63 and its been terrible. The Penecillin caused the enamel on my teeth not to form right, which eventtually I couldn’t keep up with all the dental work so had them all removed about 9 years ago & got dentures which made it extremely difficult to eat. On top of that I also had a weird eating disorder from about 4 years old. I just lost my appetite and didn’t have any natural hunger! That wasn’t a problem until I moved out on my own at 18. I would forget to eat, since mom wasn’t cooking food regularly for me every day, and that didn’t seem to be a problem either, as I was cliff climbing, camping, hiking, going to huge concerts all the time in the 70’s, and taking plenty of the drugs we had back then too, working, going to college, traveling and packing my life with as much as i could, so I didn’t think about the not eating nor pooping. As i got older i learned to make myself eat every day, but after the dentures, eating was way too difficult for something i didn’t want to do anyway and my diet was pretty much limted to a few foods which didn’t bother me. The last two years eating was dreadful, and the constipation was very painful. Doctors said i had IBS so there was nothing that could be done about it. I really just didn’t want to live any more just to have to force myself to eat and try to get the crap out. Well, I got a bright idea last month and got a Nutrabullet. Wow! I could eat stuff i hadn’t eaten in years! Nuts, chocolate, fruits, vegetables, just about anything. I thought I would then start pooping too, but no. I started adding all kinds of stuff that is supposed to help your bowels, but nothing has helped yet! But I’ve had these problems for 63 years, so i think maybe my bowels will learn how to work in time. How much time I don’t know. But this vid of yours is helping some which is a lot for me! I do this one every day now, which has only been a couple weeks, but I can feel stuff in my stomach doing somethin different, movements, and SOUNDS - wow, so definitely its changing and that started about a week ago. A few times I’ve had bowel movements after doing these yoga things with you. They are still hard golf ball size crap, but after those get out I had “normal” ones, without working them out one plop at a time and wow that feels so good! I just had a bunch of gas while typing this and I started typing after I finished doing this yoga with you and it feels so good to let the bloat out - man, gas is uncomfortable all the time - stomach feeling like its going to explode like a balloon with too much air! Anyway, if nothing else, I hope other people won’t feel embarrassed about talking about pooping, especially after reading about my strange combination of symptoms!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR VIDS!!!!!!

Two hours after I posted my comment I had two bowel movements!!!! First was hard golf balls sized ones - no wonder my stomach was in so much pain! Then about 30 minutes later a really nice long perfectly formed, in diameter and consistency, EASILY eliminated and felt GREAT! I am a nurse so we have to talk about every patient’s poop this way, so I hope my desscriptions aren’t too graphic for public comments, but also hope they may help other people be more comfortable talking about this because it is very important for our health, and is necessary to communicate in this manner when they seek help in this area. But I would never get this kind of help from the medical profession which is sad. I have continued to experiment with the foods that I can now consume and its been hit and miss. My body keeps trying to go back to the habit that became its pattern, so I have to keep trying to train it to do a lot better and I know it’s going to take time and I hope it’s not damaged too much to work on it’s own without having to take handfuls of magnesium every day and can work off the food and this yoga. But I firmly believe that our bodies are able to heal from anything and is always working towards homeostasis, so in time with the right treatment it will heal. I am 63 and I don’t take any medications! If I hadn’t came across your video and thought of the Nutribullet to chew for me, I believe I would have ended up with some kind of problem that would have had to have medical intervention to continue, but any kind of medical intervention never puts us back to what we were before, unless its bones or some surgeries, but medication just can’t return us to natural good health, but can keep us alive and functional. I have found that I only do the yoga when I do it with your video though! I tried to do it by myself, but was not effective and I would miss some of the “little” things you show and mention that are not really little at all, but is much more efficient. Thank you so much for learning and practicing this and sharing it with us! You are a healer and I appreciate you so much I can’t put it in words except that I love you.

thanks for your candid expression. I suffered from constipation for a while, but when I looked up the metaphysical reasons for this condition, I saw it has holding back your inner feelings and thus your body holds on to what it should release. Since then, I've been a little more conscious of holding on to negative emotions, and also being more aware of not eating foods that don't go well together or are hard to digest. e.g. fried, cold, protein-rich, cheese, etc Thanks again for your inspiring candidness!

This is/was really helpful for some of my early pregnancy first trimester bloating. Unfortunately, digestion slows down significantly during pregnancy. This is a really great gentle way tho start each achy day stretching (and also help move things along). 👏👏

OMG! I am amazed at how much this has helped me. I had no idea how effective yoga was, and am going to learn more about it. Being the extremist that I am, I had kept up with you the first two times and I was so sore all over - duh! Now I am being more gentle with myself and have changed several things in my diet since I started eating raw foods - that was a huge sudden change for my body too. However, with the gentler raw foods and this yoga, my digestion has improved a lot. So, there you have it - 63 years old with terrible “IBS” - in a few weeks I am improved without any drugs! The body is able to heal! Thank you for making these videos!

Thank you for this video. It's a gentle practice yet effective. I appreciate that you take the time to explain how we should position our feet, pointing the toes, lengthening the legs. It's really important and ensures that we get the maximum out of each pose. Your a great teacher!

Good morning! I definitely wasn't feeling "so, so hot" today due to stomach issues from that darn ice cream I ate last night. This was a great practice for me, especially since I had tight hips today as well. My digestive system feels much better from doing this. Thank you, Brett

I feel so much better, thank you! I just started taking Maca powder and I think it's really upsetting my stomach with almost debilitating cramps and bloating! Will stop taking it. Wasn't sure if I'd make it through the day today and with your practice I'm so much better! I love all your videos, you have a great style about you.

this practice never fails....i couldn't even stand up straight this morning and could barely walk, my gut pain was so bad. halfway thru this practice, i felt the pain ease away. now i'm ready to go move some wood for the woodstove! thank you brett!

Thank you sooo much Brett, I suffer form IBS and I felt a huge diffrence after doing this sequence, it truly relaxed my whole body and I didnt feel all tense and uncomfortable any more. Thanks again for helping me feel better. 😏

Wow. I've done this 5 times now. Love it. I grew up with yoga and have used yoga to deal with pain and injury throughout my life. I've had a recurring constipation issue and this routine really helped.
