The good news is technology is amazing. I edited one of my own yoga videos yesterday on mobile iMovie while riding the bus.
The bad news is that smart phones are destroying our posture. Experts say that for every inch your head is tilted forward looking down at a screen, the pressure on your cervical spine (AKA your neck) doubles. As our phones evolve into mini super-computers, we’re glued to them for hours each day, creating muscle strain, pinched nerves, herniated disks and yucky headaches.
Whether you’re addicted to CandyCrush or you’re a compulsive email checker, constant smart phone usage is pulling your chin forward and taking your head out of alignment with the rest of your spine.
You can fix this (and avoid turkey neck) by doing some of the simple stretches I’ve put together below. You don’t need a yoga mat, yoga clothes or even the willpower to stand up. Do these seated as your desk right now!

I need to do this every day considering I have a chronic neck issue that'll only get worse if I don't stretch it!!! Thank you so much, Brett!! You're the first yogi I found on RU-vid and I deeply appreciate your work. I've done a lot of your other yoga routines over the past 6 months. I've become more confident in my body and I know when to practice mindful breathing. I will never forget your channel, honestly. I've gone through a huge transformation in my personal life and your videos were there for me when I had no other answers.

I woke up this morning with pretty intense pinching in my neck and stiffness down the left side, barely able to turn my head, and decided to give this session a try. It completely released it and the pain is gone. Wonderful! Thank you so much. 💖

I've suffered with neck pain and a trapped nerve for awhile now. These exercises were really soothing, loved the stretches, although my knees hurt a little. I just need more practice with kneeling for so long. Many thanks

I Luv Luv this Video... My neck & Shoulder Blades are Usually very tight when I wake in the morning..(most the time) I Like how you turned to the side to show how to lock your hands behind you... It lets me know if I'm doing the exercise right... Very Helpful.. Thank You

Fantastic. I've be meaning to find some kind of neck stretches to add into my Hatha yoga sequence. I think I've found it! I'm almost sure it doesn't really matter, but is it still just as effective to do with the legs spread open in a kneeling position? I ask because the move I want to add this to flows from a wide-legged child's pose into a seated hip opener. Thanks. :)
