As a yogi, I find it funny, you guys call 'Asana' as yoga, asana is a part of yoga not yoga, there is dietry, celebacy and body control as well in yoga.😂
Yoga is not an exercise and it's sad you promote that ignorant opinion. Yoga is a science and designed to optimize energy in the body. It's not just exercise. Yoga will work no matter what...you don't need to over 100g of protein a day with yoga but in normal exercise you need all of that and rest days.
@@jn8922chill man.. it's his own experience. He have all rights to express it in his own way. I am sure, you are not even practicing Yog. Ignore him brother.. love from India (Bharat)🇮🇳
Yoga and calisthenics pretty much go hand in hand and are probably best when practiced together. Calisthenics can help build the muscles and body strength while yoga can help the body, mind and spirit relax and find peace. Yogasthenics
@@rubeesharma4316 yoga focuses on balance which requires calm and focus If you can do that you have peace of mind If you can't it means something is bothering you from focus
Mayurasana is not quite a Planche, although it could definitely be a progression towards one. I do both occasionally they isolate separate muscles. I have never gotten scorpion though, as my body is not flexible enough yet. I do agree that they are both difficult. Have you been able to accomplish a scorpion?
It's an incredible combination, I'm a yoga instructor and also a calisthenics athlete and it's awesome the way this two lifestyles could be combined to improve your health, even though the yoga isn't focus on building strength or a good physic, it makes you so strong and healthy, improving your mobility and your patience, good video guys
I'm in my late 40ies and haven't been doing any exercise for the last 10 years. But I did yoga for several years when I was young and during my pregnancies. I'm still incredibly flexible and still have a surprisingly strong core considering how long I've not been doing anything to stay in shape.
@@elon-gatedMusk-rat Do this if possible, If your daily schedule doesn't support it's okay. 4:30 to 5:00 Am deep meditation concentrating about only one thing without Distractions. Then Do Yoga or Calisthenics with a clear mind and breath control 😊
Suryanamaskar can be done fast as well for fast twitching muscles. Plus their are different kind of other yoga for that strength purpose as well. Most of the calisthenics exercises are their in one type of yoga.
@@user-hd4qo3eb2dby ur logic even Yoga is religious as Yoga not only involves movements but Mantras and the entire system is consolidated by Rishi Patanjali. Idk any religion which says dont pay respects to Sun. My sincere request to idiots if you are narrow minded and brought up in religion which believes in Balsphemy, conversion and demeaning amd judging other religions and you are not from an open minded culture then dont...dont practice Yogvidya.
First Surya namaskar is an ancient yogic practice to respect the sun.....u don't need to be in a religion to respect the sun.....also who is the father of yoga?? Of course it was formed according to his belief and practices@@user-hd4qo3eb2d
@@user-hd4qo3eb2d Surya Namaskar can be done as simple exercise as well. People can intentionally pick and choose what they get out of a practice. Asana definitely is not the totality of yoga, but in Raja yoga, it helps the body release stored tension and nervous energy to prepare for pranayama to settle the mind for the beginning of a meditation practice.

I do stretching in the mornings and I practice calisthenics and weightlifting. I'm flexible, light and strong at the same time. I can do head to knees, 6 clean muscle ups, and deadlift 130kg (I'm 58kg). And don't forget cardio. It's better to mix them all up in your schedule than to focus on just 1 and lacking on the others 👍
Yogas mind and body connection helps improve calisthenics for sure. It does take more effort as when you get stronger, flexibility reduces. Ancient martial arts like kaliriphaytu used yoga and calisthenics to improve the skill
@@mithznair I love stuff like this ☺️ I really would want to learn some martial art like Kung Fu or shaolin kung fu, but I’m 28 and idk if they have martial arts classes for adults that often
That last pose (cross legged) where your knees are touching the moon says it all why if I had to pick one - I’d pick Yoga for a healthier outcome 😂😂😂 but yeah if both can be mixed - that’s awesome ❤
Well he probably also did cardio and endurance training but yes yoga can get u abs and build muscle. Also healthy sufficient diet is also needed to get that.
Lmao what? Yoga is more rounded than calisthenics. People think Yoga is just holding poses. It has many dynamic exercises and the spiritual part is only in Yoga.
This is so great! I’m a yoga teacher and recently came across your channel last week. I have tried a few of your exercises and they were great and I was wondering how this would impact my personal yoga practice, would it help it or hurt it meaning mess with my flexibility and mobility. This short video gave me the answers I was looking for and now I feel the freedom to commit to adding this to my physical fitness. Thank you so much! 🙏🏽🌸
Yoga makes the body feel like u a kid again with how u able to move it ong n calisthenics makes u feel like u tappin into ur true physical potential and meditation be feelin like u gettin close to god, universe, and buddhas all three are the best trio u can ask for but if u throw in some cardio too then u feel well rounded🔥❤️🔥💯
Yoga is a part of vedic science from india.. Yoga is not only for fitness it provide same contribution to meantal peace as well.. It increase focus and concentration of a person... It brings stability to our work and something called unexplanable energy to a person.. Yoga brings calmness to u r daily life ... Proud to be an 🇮🇳 indian
