Manny genuinely love Laura to say he wishes that she can she herself threw his eyes. That admiration is real love. My husband says that to me all the time and I’m like whatever. But when manny just said that I’m like I get it now. Love you friendship.

Everytime laura mentions her moms passing it gets to me...they both had such a nice relationship and we were able to meet her through her videos!

My goal for 2022: -Actively search for the good in every day. -Be the parent that I needed when I was young. -Letting go of the past and releasing the negativity -Survivor vs. Victim mentality -Hug my children more

My husband was a stay at home dad and I always made sure he had what he wanted because he gave up his job so I could work my dream job. Also I was making more money than him so it worked out great. When I got home the house was clean dinner was ready my son well cared for. I loved it so much when I got sick and couldn’t work he went back to work and still ran the house meaning cleaning and cooking. I have the best husband 21 yrs and counting.

I strive to find friendships like Laura and Manny's!!

I don’t feel guilty at all as a stay at home mom spending OUR money. Our job at home saves money on the long run (especially in my case, going back to work didn’t pay enough to cover daycare so we’d be struggling while someone else is caring for my kids when I’d rather do it) and it really is a full time job twice over. It’s not necessarily a spending spree over here, we sacrifice a lot and we both deserve to spoil ourselves once in awhile. We both work hard and know each other’s worth when it comes to being a team💯

Why do I instantly cry with Laura everytime she mentions her mom?? I feel her pain so much every time.

I started school during the pandemic because I wasn’t sure where was going to happen with my MUA job. I finished in 2021 and am now a medical assistant. For 2022 I’m manifesting continuing school and becoming something even greater in the medical field. I thought I was crazy for switching careers completely but I’m glad I’m able to still make a difference in peoples lives. Especially right now during these hard times !

Laura and Manny’s relationship will always bring my heart so much happiness. A friendship and honestly a love like that to share with another person is very rare and beautiful. Everyone deserves to have a friend like that in their life. ❤️

Going for that last piece of advice… as somebody who struggles with infertility as well, I 100% agree to tell the sister you’re pregnant first. I’m sure she will be happy for you, but has some time to think about it and process it and be sad for herself if she needs to. Being sad for herself doesn’t take away from the happiness she has for you. ❤️

Manifesting for 2022: I’m getting healthy. No weight goals, no beating myself down, just making healthier decisions for my mind and my body this year. I need to jump on the “say yes” train. I moved RIGHT before quarantine… so I am hanging out with literally no one. I need to force myself out and hanging out with people from work so that I can make more friends in my area. More self love and care in general. I’m such a people pleaser that I never pour into my own cup so to speak and I need to do that more.

I related to Manny so much when he talked about feeling "stuck in an emotional age" when everyone else around you is in a relationship, getting married, and having children. And the fear that those people in your life will just outgrow you and leave, because you're not in that same point of your life as them. It's something that I feel like not enough people talk about, but whenever I see TikToks of people in their late 20s and 30s feeling this way and expressing this, it just provides me with so much comfort

I am a stay at home mom. My husband and I have shared a bank account since before we were married. I worked for many years before we had kids, but once we had our first we agreed to have me stay home. He has never once made me feel like I have to “ask” for money. Obviously, out of respect for each other and being responsible with our finances we discuss large purchases with each other. But he doesn’t make me feel like it is “his” money and I have to ask. I am entitled to the bank account in the same way he is, and there is no guilt or shame when I spend money on myself. He actually gets irritated that I won’t spend money on myself, and makes a point of spoil me on birthdays and holidays because he knows I won’t do it for myself.

Goals/Manifestations for 2022: 1. I'm young (21) and have literally ZERO friends/family. I want to really start a small circle of friends so I can start nurturing platonic relationships with. I go through a lot and it sucks never having anyone to talk to. 2. Finally graduate college and get my Bachelors Degree (graduation is in May) 3. I have a rhinoplasty in June and I'm really going to start focusing on the foods that I put into my body and hopefully that can contribute to an easier recovery/health in general 4. Get a big girl job related to my degree and start getting my finances in order/financial independence I hope everyone has a happy and healthy year! Stay safe 💖

Mom guilt is a real thing - even self imposed. It's not that your mom didn't think she was worthy it's that she questioned everytime she considered spending on herself because that money could be spent on her kids, for the household, etc. It's always hard as a mom justifying spending money on yourself for wants, sometimes even needs.

I'm manifesting more clients. I work a 9-5 that doesn't pay what I'm worth and I started my own business as a social media manager because I am tired of missing time with my kids for 9 an hour. Growing up LDS and having to hide who you really are is not normal, you're right manny, it's not healthy or right either. I commend you for getting through what you've been through. I couldn't imagine having to suppress my true self over some "religion". I really respect you for being your true, unapologetic self, despite the trauma. You have my respect, manny!

Manny, I relate to you SO MUCH on your thoughts about feeling like you've got a "peter pan" life or "groundhogs day" life. I, too, get afraid that I'm going to be left behind, stuck in the same spot, while everyone else around me continues to grow and flourish. It's really hard not to feel like that. I wish I could say something to make you feel better but I'm in the same situation and I'm still trying to figure it out. Just made me feel comforted knowing that there are others experiencing the same and just trying to figure things out. I appreciate you guys and this podcast so much. I didn't watch much of your guys' individual content prior to this podcast but I watch every episode of Fool Coverage without fail. It’s so crazy you brought up ghosting. My husband and I, and our 1 year old son were just “ghosted” by his mother (my MIL, my sons grandma) we don’t know why. I feel so bad for my son. It made me so angry that if she does come back I don’t ever want to speak to her again… so my New Years resolution is to be really careful of who I give my energy/time to. If you aren’t bringing joy, positivity, or value to our lives then I don’t want to give you our energy. Your time and energy are both so precious; you aren’t ever obligated to give those things up. ❤️ 🌎 ☮️

Grief is something we never were suppose to go through! I can only imagine the pain it has caused yall my heart to goes out to yall!💔 I hope this can help bring some comfort... 1Corinthians 15:26 "and the last enemy, death, will be brought to nothing." Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."

I'm now watching this and I was just recently ghosted. I've never been ghosted and it was by a person that I was working on having a serious relationship. He told me that he would never ghost me cause he knows the feeling. I hated what it was making feel and think, but I've overcome it real quick and just a few days ago moving on with my life. Now I'm talking to this guy that I always had a thing for and what I like is that he's just wanting to be friends and allow me to heal, but still be there for me and told me if something happens than we should act on it. I like that he's not rushing me and is understanding.

Laura, from my experience, the money thing is definitely a Southern concept. I'm from Tennessee & never even heard of couples having separate money, ESPECIALLY if they were married. My husband put me on his account pretty much the moment we moved in together & 20 years later (all 20 of which he's more than tripled my annual income & years of me not working at all) all funds are joint. About 7 years ago we moved to Louisville (which is NOT the South btw people, lol) & I was completely dumbfounded by hearing that most of my coworkers, married & all generations, have always kept funds separate & pay bills separately, etc. Totally foreign to me too.

My thorn was having to cut my dad out of my life due to addiction. My rose was completing my degree in mathematics :) thank you Laura and Manny for creating this podcast. I always look forward to watching as an escape from reality. I have learned so much from you both!

Laura, seeing you talk about your mom is so brave. I can somewhat relate as I lost my grandma 2 years ago who I grew up with. Till this day I cannot speak of her without crying. I know we all hurt differently but I see you talk about her and I see you are so strong. It was a beautiful relationship you showed us with your mom on RU-vid. Glad we got to see a part of that. Don't fight to not deal with things. I lost my baby, my husband, my mom, my best friend and my cousin all back to back. Especially losing my husband, together since teens, his sudden death when I was 41, I couldn't break because I had kids to get through it so I just tried to push through...just shut down mind and just don't think to survive. Physically and mentally I nearly broke. I had nothing left in me and body started reacting...heart pains, daily panic attacks, big cancer scare, hair falling out, memory loss, etc, My doctor said my constant cortisol levels over so long was what they normally just see in war veterans with PTSD, which shocked me. You think you're dealing if still standing and time is going by, but if not truly able to process and cope (which you can't always do helping kids through, sick/dying family, financial load on you), not only does mind finally have a breaking point, but body can't handle that level of stress and grief over such a long period. You can't outrun grief unfortunately. It always finds you.

You guys are the realist influencers that I let influence me!

I love what you said about not taking it personally when you get ghosted. As someone who has ghosted many people ( and I do feel bad about it ) it has 90% of the time been because of ME and MY issues and nothing to do with the other person. Love you both!

My best friend has been struggling to get pregnant for over 5 years. I found out I was pregnant and I was so scared to tell her because I was afraid she'd be upset. She was so happy and excited for me right off the bat. She's literally been the best. She's done nothing but support me.

I can see how strong you are & have been since your moms passing, but when you break down and talk about her and her loss, it is so much more inspiring for us!! Laura’s thorn and rose is legit exactly how I’ve been. When she said her thorn I cried a little. I’ve been working my ass off for two years avoiding dealing with the grief that came with my dads passing. And it for sure haunts you for the rest of your life. I love you guys! Nothing prepares us for the pain of having time pass knowing our dearly departed loved ones are unable to be present. Each day forward is a day further away from them. It stings, and I feel for you both. One of my dearest, closest, oldest friends passed in May 2020 and I am feeling that ache deeply. They are present in our hearts and we carry them forward with us. We are made up of all the love that we shared with them, and in that way they are able to live on within us. Sending everyone missing somebody a big, bear hug. I hope 2022 brings us all some peace and healing. ❤

I really needed to hear this. I lost my sweet grandmother in March of last year. I had grew so close to her and I found out so much about who I am and my family. She helped me battle my mental illness and encouraged me to continue pushing. I miss her so much. I felt so numb when it happened. I got so guilty because I couldn't feel anything. When it really hits you it comes in waves. The first day was hell, but afterwards it was just what can I do to not think about it? Then you come back to reality and you relive it over. It's a long road, but I'm finding my inner peace. I wish nothing, but absolute peace for Laura and Manny. I hope you have found your peace and I'll keep you in my thoughts. 💗 love you guys. I relate to manny too!! I feel stuck too, I just got out of a really toxic relationship that lasted for 6 years and I never had kids, especially with him. I didn’t think he was mature enough to be a father and I was right in the end. But here I am, 30 years old, no relationship, no friends, no kids and I see all the people around me having kids and getting married. With all that being said, I’m so happy to be home alone, without stress with my dog, doing my own thing but that thought creeps in sometimes, “will I ever find my actual person” because I will never settle to keep from being alone again. My New Years resolution is to get to know myself and what I like.

In resonate so much with the whole topic of being socially awkward. I have this issue sometimes but i find that being in college has helped so much. Having to public speak or take part in class discussions has helped me overcome the social anxiety i often experience. I used to hate school when i was younger but i see the positive impact its having on my social skills! I hate to be that b***h but GO TO SCHOOL YALL!!! its stressful but its rewarding and its beneficial in so many ways!!!!

As someone with infertility, blessed with 1 son after treatment, I agree. Tell your sister separately from everyone else, give her the time to work through the emotions. At the end of the day she will love her niece or nephew, and she will be so happy for the sister as well.

Laura, I love when you speak about your mom because when you do, I feel you so so much and it makes me feel very connected to you. It'll be 6 years in March 2022 that my mom has been gone and many times, it still feels the same way you are feeling now. Your grief will still be there but you will learn how to grow around it, I promiseyou. Just think of it as how much it hurts is a direct connection to how great your love and relationship with your mom was.💖

Ugh I needed to hear this 😩 I’m a stay at home mom & I work from home full time . The pandemic has made it significantly harder on stay at home moms because in certain scenarios we gotta bring cash in too. This year I am focused on pursuing my dream of starting my own Skin Care & Body Care line 🥺❤️ Because my babies deserve to see their mom flourish & have generational wealth . 2022 is about saying YES for our future 🤞🏻🗣

My opinion on the money situation as a stay at home mom myself. Now my husband and I both did work for years but situations happened and now I'm a stay at home mom. But we've never had your money and my money. It's always been our money. And both of us always just say to the other one like, hey do you care if I get..... not as a permission thing but more of a respect thing towards each other.

I completely agree that she should tell her sister 1st about the baby. My cousin and I were both in a infertility journey at the same time. The day I found out she was heavily on my mind. So I called her and we talked about it all. Of course she was supportive and excited but I know I would have wanted her to tell me first

I really appreciate y’all talking about loss and grief in this episode… I feel like we have had a bomb rush of losing people this year for multiple people…

My goals are to feel better about my self. I am so insecure because of some weight gain do to health problems. Also to start working on losing the weight. I will set small goals of 10 pounds. And go from there. Also my husband and I have been together for 21 years. Marie’s for 18 and have 2 kids 16 and 12. I want to start dating him again. We have lost that in becoming parents. Our world revolves around our kids. I have been a stay at home mom the whole time. We have never asked for help or had a babysitter. We just stay home. And I want that to change and so does he. My kids are old enough to stay at home for a few hours. Though my youngest has autism so I would like an adult to be there that understands how to care for him.

To the stay at home mama question: I have been raising my three kids as a stay at home mom for 11 years. Several years in I felt like I couldn't ask for money and it caused so many hurt feelings and arguments. But I will say the conversation is worth having and now I have my own bank account and I am paid via our main account every two weeks. Do not feel bad about wanting things for yourself just because you don't bring in monetary value. You bring more value to your home than any amount of money!

I did a summer of wedding coordinating, set up n take down, catering some...I will never have all that shit. Walk into the woods with 3 other people get married, and go to Olive Garden...

My dad has been gone for over 15 years. My waves still come. Grieving for some never ends. I’ll be driving my happy butt on the pch enjoying the view on my way to work and I’ll start balling. Now I know hey I gotta take a break for mental me. Whoever doesn’t get it I tell them how lucky they are.

You guys are my comfort people. Listening to y'alls positivity makes me feel so happy and calm. You still speak truths and harsh realities and know how to balance the two to seem so genuine. Thank you for creating this place for us and giving me somewhere to go for 30mins-1h to escape 💞

I plan to save more money and make a goal to move forward with my company. I don't hate my job but think I'm ready to do more. Happy New Year! My friend flaked so I was determined to have a nice holiday. I cooked a great dinner got ice cream. I got cherry 7up as my champagne. I got spinach artichoke dip and chips. Then my man got off work early for him which is midnight. I ended up there watching the newest Adams Family movie. I got it late but my New Years kiss. Overall a good holiday

My goals for this year are to be more open to more friendships. I recently just reconnected with some friends and it feels so good to do that. I’m also going to work on keeping my word when I say I’m going to do something. I’m also going to work on my happiness and keep making my relationship with my husband stronger than it is already ❤️❤️
