I can definitely relate of every word u was saying i was in a situation where i was dating this guy so the first 4months was smooth and then by the time we made it a year his energy has shifted.. so when i tried to have a conversation with him he couldn’t even answer none of my questions so i started to remove myself from the situation so fast forward 3years later im glad i dodged that bullet cause now he got 2kids that he don’t take of… But i was smart enough not to get pregnant by him … and the crazy part bout it is i kno his baby momma

Had an eye opening moment, it was painful, still is. I had to choose me and my son's peace of mind and happiness. I told my ex I was moving out. I packed up our things and left to my parent's house.

@@tamara8267 I first have done therapy.. sorta useful to me, I found internet & few books more useful. Maybe it's different for you.. What was important for me personally to learn was that I mattered too. And, should to _me_ even matter more then him in some way, or like .. well I am certainly my business/responsibility. Like, love yourself at least as much as the other (and its not like you can pour from an empty cup either). That sounds so 'duh' to me now but I was raised to look more to (care about/for) the other. I learned about this from a coach and my own realisation after putting a bunch of pieces together (better late then never 😅) And learned about boundaries! I then used them on everyone. Turned out, the people closest to me had the biggest problem with them (some, came around after I blocked them). Funny enough, the guy responded to them as if he didn't want to loose me. This is tricky. I realized that we are not compatible enough, but sure it been tempting, although I don't bite. This is prob why I watched this video. Important about boundaries is also that they are about you and not about what someone else MUST do. + That what helped me enormously personally was ...1]... learning krav Maga (a self-defense attack thing for real life situations. Made me more confident. Never had to use it since I learned it.) ...2]... my cat (Maine coon) ❤ companionship, hugs, love, funny stuff, helped me go to & enjoy the present & regulate! (And I also worked on teaching myself how to do these too, for me, present & regulate. I am way better with it, i hadnt heard of it before, though definitely not perfect because of my nature + upbringing) ..3]... finding more different other things that made me quite happy. Mostly new hobbies or things I always wanted to do or liked as a kid, alone and then with other (healthy!) people. I started visiting all national parks, dance class, discovered improv etc. These different things basically helped me to not feel like going back... not that I thought it was great.. it was the addiction trickery / the trauma bond/attachment. I quite hacked it like that :) I have a pretty good life now !! I do miss some more ppl close or closer to me (all-though I also love being by myself). But it's like a vacancy for who is enough compatible, not anyone else (standards :)) He still looks for me when I'm out dancing, been 7 years. We can work kinda like a magnet. Feels like I have to submit.. ..to what though! I know whats good for me. When I notice it's becoming too tempting though we not compatible, which I don't know about that we are because well .. then I go elsewhere. This is why we currently don't see each other at all anymore. If I can't completely solve the magnet (and we dont match), I don't get near it, that's ok, certainly where I am now. I don't have sex with him or anyone not compatible enough .. been yearsss.. while I certainly don't mind sex, on the contrary 🙈 My cat passed away recently. This was a great loss. Now I go out of the house and in town a bit more, work there on my purposeful job, go to the library sit there, exchange chats & connect with nice ppl. :)
Not quite what you were asking, but way back in high school, I went to a "rough" school and had to literally hide myself in baggy tomboy clothing, acting gay, to get the black guys to leave me alone. Skinny redhead. It was annoying. I wanted to be noticed by my own race, but white guys are notoriously timid and shy. So I just hid. As a white woman, I didn't understand what was seen as so great about us that black guys felt they had to "get with" us. Wanting lighter kids? It just seems like some fetish. No offense meant to anybody. It was never something I was "into". There are many lovely, cool black women out there, so I really don't get it. So many white women today are into briefly dating black guys now that the guys assume that all of us are gonna be up for that. It's not true though.
