I don't think Maye should start week 1. Let him sit, study, learn and at the earliest, let him play around week 6 or so. Buy I do believe this team will be a hell of a lot better than what the crap that's been thrown against the wall.

@LaFlameG yeah, but I think they they're leaning from the Mac Jones disaster, and trying to make sure he's not thrown to the wolf's den year one. Maye is definitely showing he's our guy.

*Maye has ALL the talent in the world…but is still incredibly raw and inexperienced. This offense still isn’t ready to throw a rookie QB out to the wolves. Let the offense work out its kinks for at least the first 6 weeks to find its footing. They still don’t have a starting left tackle or know who will be starting at the WR 1/2 positions. Drake Maye would be more valuable on the sideline with a headset and play sheet. Next offseason they can add the final pieces to the puzzle on this offense and finally set Drake Maye loose.*

The Pat's are going in the right direction The D is very good The O has been vastly upgraded Olime ? Punter great FG is borderline New HC and staff Better O coaching by far Have a brutal Schedule This isn't a SB year Will win more games than last year And surprise at times

Having been a Patriots fan since the early 1970's I appreciate the optimism of this guy, but sadly, I think he's wrong. Honestly, I think it's safe to assume the Patriots could win a couple more games than last year, but I really don't think it'll be more than 6 or 7 total. I think Jacoby Brissett will be the starting QB for the entire season, which is why the Patriots signed him for 8 million bucks... a good deal in my opinion. I hope we don't see Drake Maye this year unless something happens to Jacoby Brissett. I think we need to be patient, because I don't want another Mac Jones situation.
