Whether a short film, TV pilot, or feature, the beginning of your script is crucial. In this video, Scott discusses tips and tricks for the first five, ten, and thirty pages to make sure you’re concentrating on the right aspects.
Here’s what’s coming up:
• How to effectively use your first page via tone and emotion.
• What readers expect of the first 5-10 pages for TV and film.
• Why the first 30 pages must pull your reader into the world.
Over to You:
• Ask yourself, do I "make a reader forget they’re reading?"
• Use Scott’s advice to review and enhance your first pages.
• What do you think of his methods outlined in this video?
Let us know in the comments section below the video.

"Master the words to make us forget there are word there." Brilliant observation. So, story tellers need to write with magic. I've read stuff like that, but it's rare . . a necessary talent that I'll probably never master.

Hi Richard, glad you like the observation. Although the idea seems difficult to accomplish, know the more you write and practice, the more natural your writing will not only become, but feel. You got this!
