I don’t understand my mom is 65 and still friends and in connection with people from childhood, old jobs, highschool etc. it blows my mind how she is able to keep strong connections with so many people. People flee from me.
@@Miss_an100why would you have to wonder that? Keeping strong connections is a big sign of growth. You don’t have to keep jumping into new friends, jobs, etc to become actualized. On the contrary, constantly moving and jumping around is a good sign that someone is running from something. Not always true but it’s definitely a thing.

I'm in the giving the situation space to actually breathe, part of the cycle. I don't know anything else. I'm not really good at actual break ups even if it's for the best. This is so true, thank you for the reminder. Sometimes letting go of what doesn't align with your core values will create the life you need to become a healthier and happier person. You will attract people in your life that have a similar path as you desire and become a person that is comfortable also being alone with themselves.

I had a really special bond with this person and I felt like I have outgrown as an individual and in my heart I truly felt like I just need to let go of that bond because I am feeling this sense of transformation in myself where I feel like I am actually growing as an individual and the bond wasn’t actually serving me. However, it felt kinda wrong to let go of something so special and I was feeling guilty for wanting to let go and confused if I should go back or move forward as an individual and 11 days after this video got posted, it came to my feed today when I was looking for signs. This video suddenly came up on my feed and was curious so decided to check it out. I just turned 18 a few weeks ago and ever since my Birthday, I had the realization that all of the people who raised and loved me, whom I thought were invincible, were actually getting older. and it absolutely terrified me to my core. I've been thinking about how many times I had brushed off their attempts to connect with me, how many times I "woke up with a bad attitude", and it absolutely breaks my heart every time I look at my grandparents, or Uncles and Aunts I haven't seen in awhile... But seeing this Video made me feel a little less helpless, to think that everyone can relate to this gut-wrenching feeling on a global scale. It also made me think of a quote I read somewhere online. It was: "If you ever feel angry at the Adults in you're life, just remember that it's their first time here too, and they're still learning to live just like we are." Few hours ago I was drunk and kind of broke down to tears suddenly because I'm not even sure If I could still make it at work. Pressure, stress, the toxicity, haven't grieved properly because of the death of my first child and my recent break up with my partner last month. When I decided to just let go of my career or just hit the resignation button for a while because of my burnouts that happened 2 years ago, I'm not entirely sure if It's the right thing to do. Like, I just want to take my mind off for a while for me to be ready for my next journey, to heal. Then this video just showed up out of nowhere which concluded with my final decision. Yeah. Letting go mentally/emotionally while still having them in my life is the tricky part. I don't have a choice for now but to unattach while still interacting with them, until i can physically leave.
Lucas, this was so timely. It is "brutal stuff"...remembering the ebbs and flows of life are natural, and beautiful. Letting go is freeing. It doesn't hurt as much when you look at it from this perspective.

i had a dream my third eye opened and it like zoomed out into this tunnel vision of the galaxy and it was so immense and vast and i felt so small so shrunken and there was this voice saying everything i ever loved or was attached with will die and i will die too and when i die none of this will come with me, and there was so much grief and uncontrollable pain in reaction to that voice, like so much crying pain but near the end of the talk this quiet peace and acceptance came over me, like this ultimate release

This resonated with me, so well, especially the piece about not trying to turn it into a power, dynamic and feeling like you are the better person. Just letting people go for the sake of letting them go because it's not the season for them anymore. I feel like that's something I struggle with, my mind trying to comfort the idea of letting someone go. It's just my mind trying to turn it into this logical equation but sometimes it's not very logical. It's just it's not the season for that person anymore.
i definitely agree ur so right. Investing time or effort into loved ones is more or less a waste, especially since it'll all be gone soon enough. I mean Why invest in something that will cause more suffering in the outcome? You have to learn to let go of it all. We are all fundamentally alone, and there is nothing we can do about it. it's a curse we all bear and it's just the way it is. I need to be real now. I haven’t let my ex go. We broke up 9 months ago, but I still think of him. We’ve also met and had some contact since then. He was so funny and is so yolo. I kind of needed a person like him in my life because I feel like i need to have more fun, but I myself is a sad and boring person. I felt addicted to him. But I know he really doesn’t care about me :(
I think no contact will work like magic + emdr therapy if u can. It's a life changing+ u need to reprogram your subconscious mind about what u believe about urself . U are not boring, u just need to find people who share some interests as u and u will be fine
This allows avoidant attachers to just live their life in their comfort zone without consequences. They don’t deserve to come back into my life once they make a decision to leave.
I accept what you’re saying as a person that can accept impermanence and life pathways. But what I mean is that people who are used to avoidant attachment can look at what you’re saying and not feel any need to change the way they mistreat people for their lack of commitment.

Everyone will have differences, but when those differences harm you It's time to let go. If it fundamentally doesn't work over and over and over and over again it's time to let go. Why would you want to hold onto things that don't work or create unnecessary harm for you? Eventually you'll need to let everyone go. This moment will come. Differences are fine. They can even compliment each other sometimes. It's when it's not in alignment that we need to let it go. Maybe it comes back in the future or maybe it doesn't. Not everything works. Sometimes that's the reality we face and letting go is the wiser option.

Yt just showed me this video again. Yeah, I don't know why it's so hard for me (and them) to completely let go, even though I am separated from the person at the moment. Especially with the way I was treated or rather mistreated/manipulated for years. Ig I want to make sure they are okay. The attachment is very weird. I've never had this much trouble letting go with previous relationships that weren't even close to the level of toxicity. I have no clue. It's so frustrating.
