I don't know if this post intentions was to say that Kira was the villain, cuz he's not, he is the God of the new world, but infidels to the true justice would think he was the villain.
@@BLACKBERRY_YOGURTFor L there is Near but The guy who picks the notebook needs to be super smart as well which hard to find but if a person who made such a Masterpiece wills to pursue than Another ace is not a big deal
Really felt for his dad. And light was so invovked in the kira identity he didn't even recognize him in the end. He was like "dad? Oh you mean the police chief yagami?"
The most painful truth is thay Light did recognize his father, but he didn't acknowledge him as his father anymore because he thought his father is a failure. The fact that his father is the best father who everyone could ever wish for, Light just did him dirty. Maybe not only children deserve parent, but parent also deserve child.
@@rintheorder raises the question if parents are really responsible for what their kids turn out to be. He felt so responsible it literally made him sick when light went to prison. I know i dont blame him at all for what happened. But a society like japan will
@@rintheorderLight was practically insane when he said that. Light before the death note respected and loved his father very much. Actually even with the death note most of the time it was shown how much he values his father. Not to mention Soichiors death when he showed his true emotions. Light was one of the brightest students in Japan, he vauled his family, on multiple occasions said that he is proud to be his father son and Tbh he was a son every father would want. The power of death note changed Light for the worst and his sense of justice became cruel and inhuman. I mean he did help the world out looking realistically, but he did it through fear and deciding who should die on his own which led to him thinking he was "god".
I’m being genuinely honest when I say Light’s dad couldn’t have died in any better circumstance. He died happy, he died with the knowledge that his son wasn’t Kira. Lights dad was able to pass on happily.
u gotta be misunderstanding, Lights dad can't go to heaven or hell because he used the deathnote, and No one told him that he can erase his memory to fix it, also he died with a lie not the truth, this is one of the worst deaths a person can have
@@IIIISaihe didn't use the death note. He just traded shinigami eye. He wanted to use the death note but finally couldn't use it. That's why he will go to heaven or hell. Even Ryuk confirmed that
atleast light made his father think he wasn't Kira so he could die in peace. others may say that he was wrong for this but in my eyes. he let his father die peacefully. may he rest in peace.
False. 100% false. The Death Note corrupted Light. You can see that because when Light forgot about the Death Note, he completely changed and denounced Kira's actions, meaning he's Light first and Kira second
@Pinkurooo_ he never should of L knew light was kira early in the episodes. He just couldn't find evidence to bring him in. L a real detective while light was just a narcissistic psychopath kid who got the power of a god basically. Even then L left enough evidence for near and he finished it.
man its awful how his dad was spilling his heart to him and he just didn't care and was thinking about something else some part of his plan i dont even remember at this point
What really gets me is that even though he can see that Light will die within a few years (which is a heart-wrenching thing for a father to learn), his happiness that Light isn't Kira overpowers that completely. It must have been a bittersweet moment for Sohichiro.
@@jbeezyproductions2580The lifespan projected isn’t in regular day/month/year format like we usually use. However it can be converted into that exact date according to Ryuk.
@@MagnetManReviewsim pretty sure when a shinigami kills a person when they’re not supposed to die, the shinigami dies. Thats how Misa is still around i think? Or maybe im confusing it
I love how despite being the same guy there is a distinction between Light the person and Kira, like as soon as Light let go of the notebook he was actually a decent guy if a little naive.
I don't think that Light was evil at the beginning of the anime, he just wanted a better world. But as the show went on he got corrupt with power, and became over-confident and evil.
The more you watch it, the more you think about the moves they make, the more questions you have, and then you realize the full thought process behind every move light and L made and realize how smart they really were
@@randomuoutube2029true man, it also puts into perspective just how drastic Light shift from high-school kid to god-complexed genocider really is i feel like if Light didn’t have a stick up his ass he really could have made the world a better place; weather it’s a world we would have wanted is up in the air
Fucking KILLER anime, no matter how many times I watch Death Note it will never get tiring, truly one of the best anime out there. This edit is really good too, I rlly like that beat drop w his laugh.
@@dirge44 It felt fake. Even then they could have at least made it a little more satisfying by having Light finish writing Near’s name with his blood before he died
@@ZA-lv8baI agree wtih you and I really wanted light to win but he kind of deserves it. I think in light situation he doesnt have will to kill near anymore hes just done
@@ZA-lv8bahow did it feel fake? it showed lights true personality this whole confident god complex, was completely deleted as soon as he got caught, so then he was just panicking and freaking out i love it because it shows how the death note changed light, turned him into a psycho
A character like Light.. Is the best character made in anime history .. if Hollywood makes a death note movie and finds the best actor for the Light character.. he will win an Oscar for sure
Yeah… except that a movie probably wouldn’t do justice to the character. The Netflix adaption was not good, but it didn’t really try to be like the anime/manga’s version of the characters at all lol. It would need a show, but even then I think I will always prefer the manga :)
Eh. The only really interesting thing about Light is his intelligence and wit. Other than that, he's very one dimensional in his god-complex. But that's okay: This show was never really about character development but about a detective battle
Death note is one of the greatest masterpieces ever written. From Light hiding his notebook in a bag of potato chips to his death on the stairs is all just so perfectly put together it never ceases to amaze me of its incredible story and plot.
No, soichiro couldn’t tell Light’s lifespan remaining because they’re incomprehensible unless they’re translated into an actual readable format rather than letters or words. And since Ryuk wrote lights name in the deathnote, for all we know light could have lived a long while more.
No. First off, a person with Shinigami eyes cannot convert the lifespan to actual human years. Second, deaths by the death note override the lifespan anyway; the formula for Light's lifespan was real and made it to be around 80 years.
@@intimefortea when ryuk wrote his name light had been shot multiple times and the task force wasn't going to search him and save him to put him behind bars so he was gonna die there on that staircase. Plus ryuk literally said in the first episodes that he was gonna write light's name when he was about to blow his final breath, so he would have not written light's name before that moment
@@giovanji7883 the injury light received wasn’t fatal, and near himself said he didn’t plan on killing light. Ryuk killed him because he knew light was going to get imprisoned and didn’t want to wait around for that
Lights soo smart he told ryuk to hide it somewhere in the forest and he disowned the deathnote because he told his dad to get the shinogami eyes so they could see the name of someone who was trying to black mail them so he could kill them
@@walterheartwellwhite9217 you have a point there but dont forget thet he literally just defeated Mikami and the reason Light lost is because he dependet too much on him. But the ending was unoptimal yea
Is anime really that deprived of real unique and complex MCs that light is the best? Idk I have only watched Death Note, Evangelion ,cyberpunk Vinland saga, and a little bit of cowboy bebop and all those shows MCs are very good
He himself was bored. That's one of the reasons he started doing this. Every intelligent character in anime is evil if you see so, ex. urahara, mayuri, light, johan, aizen, ayanokoji. All of them are a personality that the author chose for them, and it's just perfect. But the ending of DN is disappointing light should've won, but the author wanted to give a good message to the world, but failed as many of the fans are really into this thing. Probably most of the fans.
@@MYM6752 thats why i love intelligent characters, they are the perfect villains, because they're smarter, they think they are better, they think they should be higher, Lights whole character arc was: "Im not better im smarter, im not light, but *I AM KIRA, THE GOD OF THE NEW WORLD* .
This scene is so important, yet the information in it is completely thrown away afterwards. Soichiro clearly says that he can see Light’s lifespan above his head, and everyone in the room can see and hear that, no one but Light completely knows everything about the Death Note. So why is it that when Near suspects Light is Kira with hardly any concrete proof, no one brings this up? Even Aizawa who was in the room too, decided to suspect Light as well.
Because he started doing sketchy shit like turning off the recording devices, and the early suspension that the rules were forged and never tested. Pretty much just them realizing how incompetent they were.
bro his father saying that he’s not Kira isn’t nearly enough evidence to stop suspicions against Light after all the sketchy ass shit he did throughout the years.
@@UltraChad_106The context is, Light surrendered his ownership of the Death Note some time before this scene, but kept the second one on him constantly (tucked into his trouser waist I think) so he wouldn’t lose his memories. So since Light is not the official owner, he has the numbers
@@funkyfranx Thanks for the explanation but can you please explain the scene that occurred after Light father dies like who was the other shinigami and light gave him one death note... I didn't understood what happened that time!
He couldn't tell, remember? We don't know what the Shinigami dates mean, and neither do the characters in the show. For all they know, that date could mean tomorrow, as much as it could mean next century. If Light had gotten the Shinigami eyes, he may have been smart enough to be able to translate Shinigami dates to our dates, but he never did...
@@arciere5511they do, the owners of the eyes see the lifespan and u derstand it, otherwise how would they know that its the lifespan above lights head.
Actually its better that way, and I was glad he died in peace, not to mention Light was genuinely struck by his death. I think that was a great conclusion for his character. I'd argue any day that he's the best written, badass and loyal to his beliefs till the very end.
@@remant1628 Nah it looked like he was. He really doesn't have any reason not to be. Not to mention he wasn't in possession of the deathnote at the time, so he should be normal.
@@Lunecee He still had the memories of the death note . He wasn't the owner of the notebook, but he still had access to it. And his father couldn't kill Mello when he found out his name, so Light was really disappointed in his father. Even during his father last moments, his focus was killing Mello. And at the end of show when matsuda asks Light "why did Mr yagami died " Light answerd without any remorse and said overly earnest people like him alwasy looses. To top this light is physco So I believe That light actually was dissaponinted on his father for not being able to kill Mello.
ngl the episode he died in was shit, they really wanted to move foward the "he died thinking light wasnt kira" plot, he could have lived, or died in a meaningful way, all had to do was just shoot the guy and lights dad would be alive@@Lunecee
I got shivers all over my body when I heard Light's laugh after his dad said "You really aren't Kira, I'm so glad". It's like he outsmarted him and everyone and is laughing because of that.
This is one of the best anime’s I have ever watched. It is suspenseful and has always kept me on my toes. How they made the plot was perfect. Some people don’t like the fact that Light died at the end, but I think that was a great way to wrap up the anime. Like a decrescendo on the last measure of a music piece.
