Daniel Fernandes A fellow wannabe Goan comedian here.. I'm not a feminist adhering to your point "why be a part of a group and set a narrative to your subconscious mind",have believed and known the word *humanity* Even before Feminism ,just be understanding to other and that's enough. You don't need a word to define you! 😊 I'm still waiting to be convinced,dosnt matter I'm nobody but if you can shed light it will be really helpful

OMG I knew this from before, but i am confirm now. Tanmay is the sanest, one of the most smart person which has a reach to the people. And he thinks. He has a brain which he uses. He has so many ideas, so many concepts, and over that he is a Comedian. He is a fucking artist man. Genious. I know this might be too soon and even Tanmay himself would not identify with this, but if i have a leader like this, i am blessed. Tanmay bro, you are a marvellous person, weather you do comedy or anything, you will tear it apart because you apply yourself behind it, and i respect you and your thought process brother. Love you man.

Our country isn't pretty decent in any way. I travel in a local train. I see 13 year old girls married, selling clips and hairbands. In her arms is a 5 year old boy with a big bruise on his head whom she has no way of taking care of. She lets him run loose in the train and he almost jumps off the running train except a few by-passers catch him at the last moment. I can't imagine what she goes through every night. 9 months later she will have another toddler to feed. You think this is a rare sight? No. I see these things every day. Now what am I? Anti-Mumbai, Anti-National or Anti-Human?

Gaurav Dey a typical Arnab Goswami reaction on your end. Faye is quite an articulate journalist who eloquently puts forth her point without resorting to maniacal buffoonery. With Arnab, its basically "Faking News" than "Breaking News".

Thats coz she works for the media and has hands on knowledge about these things... If it came to telling jokes and making people laugh, Tanmay and Danny (I'm saying Danny like I know him personally) would make her look like a school kid. So can't judge them by that yard stick.

Fun fact : There were almost 6700 curious insomniacs who watched this 1:36 hour long podcast in the timeframe of 03:30a.m. to 05:50a.m. And the tragedy was that even that wasn't enough !!! The magic ingredient here was these two diverse guests and due credit goes to Daniel to have brought them on the same table. One can clearly infer from their conversations that they geniunely meant what they had said. It was as if they were having an completely private and intimate talk while we were snooping on them with our invisible cloaks on. And needles to say, both Tamay and Faye were great. Even that too is an understatement. I can go on and on about how, even they are so vernareble and yet brave in whatever they had set their hearts to do. And that in itself was very inspiring thing to hear. Kudos & lots of love to them. 😍 P.S. Slush...shhh...Now let me get my last hour of sleep.

In the ndtv debate the bjp leader was saying that the channel have an agenda without any proof just because the anchor was asking serious question and the anchor had the right to tell the leader to leave because then any person asking question to govt will be said to have an agenda which is bad for democracy.

Amazing podcast! It was rather a brainstorming session. Watching sensible people talk on sensible things gives an assurance to a youngster like me to go outside the comfort of my life and take interest in topics like government, media and law and, like Faye mentioned, be optimistic that we can bring change at some level at some point. And yes, Daniel, "consequences cannot define the boundaries to live within"

This podcast is one of the best video series on RU-vid. I was waiting for someone from AIB to be on the podcast and you saved the best for the last. I think irrespective of TV channels or the company they work for, people should watch this and see and look up on "how to discuss things". There were some agreements and and some disagreements over time but the issue to be raised and discussed is what we all care about on a whole. TV channels have lost integrity of their debates nowadays. I follow comedy very closely and have been watching through years and I feel you guys always express big issues on a lighter note for people to understand better. One thing about this video in particular is this is Kind of conversation that people are waiting to watch on TV channels. Hope to see more of you videos and podcast. Love and respect for you Daniel.

About the Kevin Durant thing and the sensitivity of Indians, I think it is analogous to for eg a fat person. You know you are fat but when someone comes along and calls you fat, you feel insulted and want to sort of defend yourself, while knowing that you actually are fat. This situation is sort of like this. Also why did Kevin need to apologize? It's his view, he may say whatever he feels like. Why can't we live among people with differing views ?
@shubhpatel2547

@suerayss
@suerayss 6 лет назад
I have now felt this way for 2 decades and Tanmay articulates this beautifully @ 25:25 People in countries like India where the rule of law does not get followed strictly and the fluidity of the situation results in people vesting their "goodness" capital on personalities. What that means is that people are innately good but they are not able to practise that goodness thru the state machineries or their institutions like the court system or beuracracy or their own jobs. Instead they end up projecting it on personalities like salman khan or modi or AAM or some guru and empowering that person to become the custodian of "righteousness". They then pledge their own loyalties unconditionally to that personaity who being human only end up considering themselves above the institutions and law of the land invariably leading to disappointments and failure of safeguards for all. In western countries their people let go and don't work so hard in preserving the image of their own country because they trust the law of the land and the "righteousness" of the system to be just to all. The west has lawyers, therapists and health insurance but we indians have gurus, "heroes" and religion to preserve justness. Lawyers and Therapists are modern even though they are extremely impersonal in nature for us indians.

This is an amazing video. Talking about so many issues grappling the nation, but in a rational, unbiased manner. As a sociology lover and a lawyer, it makes me extremely pleased. D'souza is right: if you think something offends you, to back to the legality of it. Check the law. Is it illegal? Also, if you're a nationalist and love your country (like I do, but I am not a left, right or centre winged), ASK questions. You have a right go know where the tax is being utilized. You have the right to know why was there no supply of oxygen in the Gorakhpur hospital. You have the right to know what are the consequences of demonitisation. Have we gotten rid of black money? Give us numbers and figures. If you're a nationalist, ask questions. Question all public authorities/politicians, because it's your right! And it directly affected your and my life. Everyday. Everybody. No matter if you're a BJP, Congress or even Aap supporter. Share this video as much as you can. It's very relevant today. We're all trying to make our and our families' lives better.
