This is one of my favorite movies despite a little bad language. When she’s closing the door of her charming book store for the very last time she pauses and recalls the happy memory of dancing & twirling with her mother and I ALWAYS cry. 😢 I read books all the time to my children and danced around with them to fun songs just like that. Precious memories!🥰
Love the double meaning when he says "Honey"? she answers back, "Yes". He is asking about the tea, but it goes so far beyond that. They are a couple, completely comfortable with each other, a perfect fit, but don't quite know it yet. But we do... :)
I've watched this movie literally more than 11 times...I stopped counting at the 11th and that was long ago. Practically know the script by heart 🙂 Best film ever! Sooo cute! 💖 and these adorable actors are just the best. This and Sleepless in Steattle i just dont seem to get tired of 🤷🏻♀️🙂
Mr Punisher Yesss! These are great recommendations for anyone who _Loves_ *You’ve Got Mail* 📬 I think two Good Tv recommendations if you like these movies are *The Mindy Project* which is largely based around Mindy Kaling’s Love of this particular movie, You’ve Got Mail The chemistry between Mindy + Danny is Good Also *New Girl* - the chemistry between Nick + Jess is 👌🏻✨ (especially the episode “Cooler” in season 2)
muddysneakers My absolute favorite movie of all time. Seriously, I have watched it hundreds of times. I used to watch it every night for months.... even to go to sleep by.... 😌
Are you seeing things?? he does not put his hand over her mouth she does it to herself!! also Tom Hanks is in real life creeper and your comment has not aged very well. I cannot wait for Tom Hanks to go the way of Bill Cosby! it's time. Except unlike Bill Cosby or Kevin Spacey he targets children.
Oh how I miss these days. The sound of the dial up connecting. The long pause while you hear static. The wonderful phrase, “you’ve got mail.” Knowing that person has written you back. Those were the days.
Not in Australia it didn’t. Aussies HATE Starbucks! 9Because we have had Italians and Greeks teaching us about REAL coffee for decades and Starbucks is AWFUL stuff!
I sooo love this scene and especially love to watch it when I am feeling ill. I think Meg pulls off the whole having a cold thing so well. speaking of the honey comment I think they quite probably put it in there because it could be taken both ways, both as a term of endearment and also as a question of having honey in her tea. Other wise I don't think they would have included it at all. That's the way I've understood it anyway.
MEG: "I don't mean to say things like that. No matter what you've done to me, there's no excuse for my saying anything like that. But every time I see you--" TOM: "It's like they just fly out of your mouth!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The truth and depth Found significantly In this one quote is PRICELESS because Every decision Concerning Business Or Personal Relationships i.e. Friendships "is Personal to me.."
"It's not personal, it's business" That line has always stuck with me every time I've applied for a job and didn't get it or let go from a job because of department cuts. It wasn't personal, it was just business. But like she said it was personal to her and it was personal to a lot of people it affected. I wonder how many companies take that in consideration when they're trying to figure out how to not go in the red and have a healthy bottom line. Was it greed behind that decision or it was it a matter of survival for the remaining people that didn't get let go? I think about that in this current environment of layoffs and closures. Back then the tech world was just getting up and running. AOL and the phrase "You've got mail" was synonymous with the internet. You could say it was the rally cry signifying that the tech world has arrived in silicon valley. 25 to 30 years later it's somewhat gone bust.
Where did he see George (who told Joe that Kathleen was sick)? Did George go on to work at Fox Books? Joe mentions George then says 'revolutionizing the place...you need a PHD in Children's Literature'.
But to be honest it wasn’t people look for cheap deals all the time. Weather its grocery shopping or gas for your car.....I am sure Joe would have liked to have helped her, but they were more or less on opposite sides and he couldn’t do that. "Business is war"-Japanese proverb
