Young Guns is a fictionalized account of the early years of Billy the Kid and his involvement in the Lincoln County War of 1878. The film follows Billy, a young gunslinger taken under the wing of rancher John Tunstall, played by Terence Stamp. When Tunstall is murdered by corrupt lawmen and business rivals, Billy and his fellow ranch hands, known as the "Regulators," seek justice and revenge. Among the Regulators are Doc Scurlock (Kiefer Sutherland), Jose Chavez y Chavez (Lou Diamond Phillips), and Dick Brewer (Charlie Sheen), each with their own unique skills and personalities. As the conflict escalates and the body count rises, Billy and his friends find themselves on the run from the law and facing increasing danger at every turn.
