It's sad how Missy was overlooked due to Sheldon's brilliance when she was brilliant herself. Sheldon had high IQ while Missy has high EQ. Mary was so blessed

I was a twin but me, not my sister, was the one who almost didn't make it. I was in fetal distress and my Mom had to have a C-section, six weeks premature. Also, in the first episode where Mary visited Sheldon in Pasadena, she told Penny that "When I was your age, you could have me for a car ride and a bottle of strawberry wine," so she was definitely a bit of a wild child.

I always feel like Mary is so targeted, I think she is a wonderful mother.

Meemaw: “Sheldon was born fine.” Me: “sure......”

Annie Potts has been a favorite of mine since “Designing Women”. Some of the last of the big shouldered broads. 😁 Mee maw telling Mary she's a good mother is very important. We should all tell our family and friends that they're a good mother, often. Somedays you really need to hear that. Sometimes you just need to hear you're a good wife, mother, and person. Sometimes someone else really needs to hear that too. Remember sometimes your husband needs to hear that he's a good husband, father, and person too, don't forget him too. This video hit me hard today! I was crying because i was so tired of work and taking care of my baby. After watching this video it is like THE GOD is talking to me that “being a mom is not a job that needs a lot of compliments”💜💜💜

I can't help thinking that it should have been Sheldon who almost didn't make it. Mary's protectiveness of him would make so much more sense then. A real missed opportunity there.

These two help make this a great show. The whole ensemble is wonderful. The only sitcom I watch any more.

But Mary is biased and doesn't fuss over her other kids trying to integrate them into careers. True Sheldon has needs and lacks social abilities but everybody has their own strengths. Missy and George have shown time and again their street smart- ness and have risen to their situations. They aren't dimwits and deserve more invested parents.

I feel sorry for Missy. She is literally me. My brother was always a wild child and smart af but all of this things happened because he was allowed while my family for me was like : She is a girl..... I can really really understand her. Its good that she was happy in the end of TBBT

I think having a wife who understands me and children who love me would definitely bring me closer to God. Because I want to change everything to be closer to Him and to be redeemed of my sins. To tell you the truth I was a rebellious wild teenager I got into trouble a lot with my dad. I struggled with my sexuality from 15 to 23. I made a major change to forgiveness and compassion towards my family. So I say I am straight I struggle still but I love God and my family and friends. That's all that matters and I hope we can all be forgiven and repentant and saved by God. Amen to all. I swear before God from 23 to the end of my life I will open my heart to God and meet a nice woman who loves and understands my struggles as I understand hers and I hope to marry her and have children. All 5 of those things will bring me closer to God. Because as it was said in jonah a veggietales movie let everyone call urgently to God let them give up their evil ways and their violence perhaps the God that brought this man out of the great fish will give us a second chance. Amen to that! Love you guys.

My momma passed 45 years ago when I was 15. I miss her so much but I’m so very glad she was my mom.

How come it was Meemaw that told Missy about Mary's wild past? Was Mary ashamed to tell Missy herself? She didn't want to fess up to Georgie that she got pregnant with him out of wedlock! My mother told me when I was a teen some of the stupid things she did when she was young. Although she wasn't wild like Mary was I remember vowing to myself that I wouldn't repeat her mistakes. It was then for the first time that I saw my mother as a flawed human being who wanted what's best for me.

This does conflict with the main series. Mary mentioned that she was once driving to church when she was pregnant with Sheldon and Missy. Either that or perhaps Memaw is making up so Missy will try to see Mary in a better light.

Missy's childhood is generally how childhood should be. It is just that neither the school that she went to, nor her parents, had enough knowledge to impart her with a good enough education to be able to do much in her life. And then the death of the patriarch. This is actually a story of a lot of people in this country.

I do it at random times but I always hug my mom and tell her she’s the best mom ever. We both nearly died together when she went into labor with me. My dad described it as the most scary thing he’s ever had to go thru in his life. 25 years later she’s making me pancakes while I cook the bacon 💕

yes, I knew all those details......because it is my favorite show and probably the only one I look forward to watching. Cast is fantastic! Story line is fun to follow after watching Big Bang for so long.

That's Funny. My mother gave birth to twins, among them I was the one having a hard time making it and was 7 days in a glass room. The doctor drops me on the floor while picking up during C-section, that's what I knew till now..and believed. Don't know yet if it's to blackmail or something 🙄🙄.

I hope after this there will be another spin off called Old Sheldon. The could have Potts come back as Mary.

OMG.. I love the show, but watching this clip shows you how bad the one camera filming is. All of the fast shots of the actors talking and responding looks like a 13 year old shooting his first video. I didn’t see who directed this episode but they suck. It reminded me of back in the day I loved 90210, and the first show Jason Priestly directed and did all of these quick shots of just the actors talking and responding. It was so bad that I saw in the credits he directed it.

I wish I could love this moment between Meemaw & Missy, but I've too strong a feeling she made up (or at the very least exaggerated) the labor story.
