Hi Los , I ruptured a disc in my lower back in 2017 , had to have it operated on in the end , couldn’t work for a year ,I know where your coming from about the mental side of recovery and not to rush it and to listen to your body and don’t let your ego get the better of you , hey we live and learn , wish you had posted this video 3 years ago when i was at my worse , all fine know(with a few adaptions) cheers

@BigLozOfficial Your video couldn't come at the most opportune time. I damaged my cartilage in my chest in training back in Feb and its been something that has been mentally driving me crazy! I really want to get back to training but the injury is preventing me from almost doing anything. Your words of wisdom really hit home and not to rush back, even when it is feeling a lot better. I will come back and be better than ever! Cheers!

Loz, yours is still the only Strongman seminar I've ever been to. It was in 2017 in Gloucester I think at Emma's gym. I've competed several times now but 7 weeks ago I did my first ever serious injury - A ruptured bicep tendon!! It sucks but I am very very keen to get back to where I was and hopefully beyond! I was on the verge of leaving inters level to step up to opens. That and good health remain the goal. All the best to you and Liz.

All the best with your recovery buddy. I have come back from 2 biceps ruptures. Sadly it's a common injury in strongman but an easy one to come back from. All the best with recovery. Don't rush and you will be fine

@@BigLozOfficial thank you for getting back to me Loz. I am ready to be very very patient but I know I'm gonna love my training more than ever once I can do it again! Bicep injuries are mega common but ruptured biceps tendons seem a lot less common in my experience researching about it. I was made to wait nearly 7 weeks for surgery sadly but I've chosen to start a YT channel to document my recovery called @Never Say Nye. Can I ask you?... After you did the same injury did you have times when you went to clean a log or axle or lap and lift a stone or flip a tyre where you thought 'shit, this feels like its gonna go again'? Many thanks.

So Happy to see you doing more videos and see g the channel growing some. Your way more respected and inspiring than you know Loz. You've been one of my biggest inspirations in powerlifting. I follow strong man as a fan. And your by far one of my favourites. And your squatting is absolutely incredible brother. How do you feel about just competing for fun? Ive never done a meet. Or strongman in my weight class. I've always wondered about doing strong man in the under 110? If that's a class. Or else I'd get down to u105 again. I've always held back from something always happening me. Torn both pecs completely off. Never had the. Fixed. Now this year I've been dealing with blood work. I got polycythemia.. I'm ranting but if you see this I appreciate it. I'm 32. And I'm passed my best I feel after my injuries. I fear if I never compete also il regret it. But I have always had the mindset why compete if I can't be my best and have a chance of winning or breaking some records.. After being through so much I don't know if I can ever do what it takes too push beyond limits again. You know what I mean? So I'm wondering how do I get the confidence to compete and just have fun. I do t have to be the strongest. I just feel I will let myself down. I'm my own worst Enemy. I do genuinely have depression and anxiety disorders. But im always working on it. And I've been speaking help for almost a year now. And I'm doing much better. I've been lifting most my life. I can't imagine life without lifting. Also broke my foot last year too. That held me back then. And I was just getting back to an OK strength for my weight. I was 100kg. Don't know my max squat.. Now it's 270. Shit... But I'm only getting started on it properly. I benched 230 till my first tear. Year later got back to 210. Tore my right. And never been able to get over 180 raw since. I've always been capable of pulling 270 to 280 weight 100 to 105kg. I'm bored and rambling.. Anyway any one sees this.. God bless you and I hope your safe. And your loved ones are safe. I love you all even though I do not know you. This is a strange time. And I'm grateful we have our meathead mentality and brotherhood. SKOL!!! ☘️💚💪

Appreciate the hell out of being able to show yourself at your most vulnerable. That clip of you wanting to give up and being consoled by your wife is powerful stuff man. Really drives home that point that you must overcome adversity if you wish to be a champion.

I know I'm like a year late on this but, I have a question. I managed to tear my right hip labrum and strain the hip flexor all at once. Massive pain for a few weeks, MRI said yep torn labrum, also a bunch of bumps/spurs on the hip. Even arthroscopic surgery, the recovery is 4-6 months. Which seems excessive. That said now that the strain has recovered I'm back in the gym doing good work. But, my right hip clicks and catches. Is the time off worth the rub? It's annoying but mostly not too painful. I just don't like the idea of taking that much time off when there is no guarantee of it being better.

There's a difference between the difficulty of fixing a muscle injury vs a tendon and ligament injury especially depending where it is, they don't recieve much blood flow compared to muscles so they're inherently disadvantaged in that regard, i torn my lateral knee ligament and its has been a pain to progress its healing.

LOZ, first of all I've been a fan for years and you're an amazing strongman. Second of all have you ever suffered with tennis elbow, which is what I summarized it is. I have been suffering with this for six months now and it's affecting my workouts tremendously. Any suggestions. Thanks!

I tore some ligaments in my right food, and suffered a bone bruise because of a stupid accident. This was at the beginning of December, but I still have pain in my foot when I'm squating. And even though I'm not a competitor, it really annoys me espacially because I took good care of it in the first few month.

Hey Loz, really liking the videos. I have a question. I'm 6'2" but only weight 12st 7lb. I train 3 times a week as now I'm 40 I appreciate the recovery time. I gain a few pounds some weeks but always seem to end up back at 12st 7lb. Is it just my diet or am I missing something? I'm quite sleight in frame, thin wrists etc. Am i just destined to stay this way genetically or can i get bigger? Thanks again
