!!UPDATE!! RU-vid has responded to us on Twitter. The videos are re-instated, RU-vid admitted to their mistake, and even publicly apologized! There's obviously other problems that remain but this is a good first step in the right direction!
So the real reason for banning Tik Tok is they don't want to admit they can't compete. Poorly managed system and their best content creators left out in the cold. Mat Pat said it best. He liked Tik Tok's system because it was simple. You make content people like it gets promoted. You make content people don't like it doesn't get promoted.
ye it super dumb, really, like both cory and mark said youtube could just say there was a prob and it would be fixed! but NOPE YOU GET STRIKE FOR SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED YEARS AGO THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT NOW. and yes were aware this can be resolved quickly and efficiently with no strike needed we just dont care.
Agreed. A lot of kids look up to Mark. Its heartwarming, He gave me courage to start my own RU-vid channel. RU-vidr's like Mark is one of the only reasons I'm still here.
Almost exactly 2 years after this video was released, it gets recommended again and pretty much every word still holds true to the current wave of shit RU-vid got themselves into. Hell, we might as well just call it 'Tube' at this point because they completely removed the 'You', the thing that made this site what it is.
RU-vid sucks even more nowadays, some channels are filled with bots, so many creators keep getting their videos demonetized and I'm still pissed at them for removing the dislike button. Also I hate RU-vid shorts as well, it's literally TikTok but much worse.
Imagine being Mark, getting your own RU-vid Red series, millions of subscribers, and then getting backstabbed like he’s in fucking TF2, because RU-vid was too petty to admit their mistakes.
This is so strange that Cory Kenshin got a strike on his Try Not To Laugh video as well! And Mark made this exactly 1 year before Cory made HIS video about getting his first strike. Coincidence?
while i know this is a joke, trending is not manual, a video gets on trending/recommended when it gets a LOT of likes and views in a short amount of time, in this case, 700k likes in under a day. i get the joke tho, haha
Ironic isnt it? RU-vid always doing this, but it's not until a 10 mil+ youtuber like mark(who's actually made more than one video on youtube itself) to say "hey youtube this is messed up, you should fix this" and they do basically immediately, but everyone else is kinda sol. Not hating on mark by any means, if anything, I'm glad he's using his clout to try and reach out to fix it, since it's a big problem as a whole to fix, but it's still stupid how manual reviews are like "not violent? Strike. Violent, especially against animals? No strike, have a nice day". It's a real shit problem that I hope gets solved eventually
Clearly, RU-vid doesn’t learn from their mistakes. How is that CORYXKENSHIN, gets a community guidelines strike, and uploads a video about it on this day? Which is one year apart from this one and both discuss the same thing.
Came back to this video from Cory. It's already been exactly a year since Mark put this video out. One year later, Cory also gets his first strike on this day. Wow.
The algorithm knows exactly what we want. This is a battle about the company going international and overall accessibility is being mixed with moral responsibility. Not everyone or every state actor agrees with the way we think in terms of freedom. And a company has to make a decision on who to listen to when the money is what is keeping the train running. They should internationalize while keeping restrictions on moderation within the country it was posted and restrict certain content to certain people based on what THEY report instead of just removing everything.
About that, they're apparently still making "mistakes", striking Cory Kenshin for a part of a video that's 2 years old with no communication. They never learn.... do they.
There’s a serious problem with RU-vid and RU-vidrs are speaking out against it now (August 2022). JackSepticEye just made a video about it, so did Charlie, CoryxKenshin, I believe Gab Smolders is going to make a video about it, and Sean said Mark may possibly make a video about it. Favoritism and Racism is rampant on this platform and I hope that RU-vidrs will take this fight!

you know... i happy that yt admitted about making a mistake and for their lack of communication BUT EXACTLY A YEAR AFTER THIS INSIDENT YT DID THE SAME THING TO CORYXKENSHINS YT CHANNEL WITH NO WARNINGS OR COMMUNICATON. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES YT ITS NOT THAT HARD.
The thing is, by deleting their channels, they gain even more publicity. If/when they become bigger channels on their own, then sure, they'll probably delete the stuff, but if they try to delete the smaller channels, the people who watched the videos are going to rave about RU-vid not being fair or something like that.
PewDiePie may have the subs, but Mark's voice is so silky smooth that he just speaks to get shit sorted, and sometimes he doesn't even need to do that.
@@dathandsometroll1852 Felix also isn't in Twitter to know about these things He's normally told by outside sources. But he's spoken up many times before. Felix, Jack and Mark are the voices that have the loudest volumes They all love this platform and j jst want it to be the best it can be despite it always being aginst them and the community. They all have a passion for this and for us. I can respect it. But it's sad that these big guys have to say anything In order for things to get done.
