(Was bored and typed this out only to realise your comment was made over a year ago, here ya go though lol) Most of the fats substituting carbs in a healthy keto are from nuts, vegetables, fruits, plant oils, etc. Though 'dirty keto', as it's called, allows you to get into ketosis easier (cause it's tastier), which is good, you can definitely go about it healthier. Once you get into ketosis it really is pretty amazing how you actually feel healthier. There's a lot of pseudo-science personalities (calling themselves doctors with their degrees in chiropracty) that advocate/argue for the diet with a distinct shortage of actual scientific research (a shortage itself largely a consequence sugar lobbying and concomitant anti-fat biases) and, honestly, I don't myself know for sure what is better healthwise. But the amount of people I've come across (granted, on the internet) that have their bad health make a marked U-turn simply by cutting out carbs, there's got to be something to it, I reckon. But, simultaneously, despite any personal convictions, I still feel a sense of slight unease thinking by body is running mostly on oil lol. Suppose we'll just have wait for the science to definitively clarify the ups and downs.
