Great seeing Soggy Cereal getting the recognition he deserves! A really great youtuber. Also- a tiny, remote, struggling town wouldn't (in most cases) have such a luxurious resort. It's actually INSANE how stupid of a decision it was to feature it

A lot of small towns have tourist destination hot spots, like big hotels and resorts, because they bank on the income they bring in during “tourist season”. Covid caused a lot of those places to shut down bc they rely on that money for the rest of the year.

I think it goes SO much deeper than just faking videos. Wouldn't "charity" and "giveaways" be written off as a business expense on his taxes? I wonder how much the IRS is lookin into this. I'd imagine in a few more years we are gonna see a bunch of channel/creators go down a variety of tax code violations

The charity deduction only applies if the money is donated to qualified organizations. Spending money in a struggling town doesn't count. As for giveaways, those would probably be considered gifts for tax purposes, not business expenses. My two cents as an informed non-expert.

@@sgbenchthat’s for charitable donations. He absolutely can write off the 10k from his personal income, because it’s a business expense, regardless of whether or not it was for charity. Since the money was probably put towards content creation, he’s probably in the clear tax wise. Where he can start getting into trouble is collecting money from the public in any way if he’s lying about how he’s using it.

The government really takes most things at word and doesn’t often audit rich people because of how expensive it is to sift through all those transactions

The worst part about Airack’s videos at this point, isn’t that it’s fake. It’s that he’s not respecting the people helping him and that he won’t just admit it’s all fake. People would still watch if it were fake. It’d still be a good video. But man is so adamant they’re real. He’s fighting himself, nobody actually gives a shit that it’s fake, the issue is he insists it isn’t.

This was crazy because I grew up going to a resort near Sportsmans Lodge, and I knew right away never have seen this video or seeing this guy that that was sportsman lodge in Baudette. I also know the lake too and probably know someone who knows the pilot.
