Cards like this are why Iove Yugi's deck from the end of the series more than Atem's deck just because it just screams actual strategy and unique monsters. Just shows how different Yugi is from Atem by their own deck formations.
@@gunjaskitchenvlogs4792 well Konami Proved that his Ace is Gandora in duel Links because all chaters get their Ace monster once you unlock them and when you unlock Yugi Moto You get Gandora
@@blackbolt175 kinda sad that Gandora is the only main cast ace that dont get support and turn into a archetype of it own. It as iconic to Yugi like Dark Magician to Atem, damn you konami
@@wavestrider2160I think in a weird way it is, I think the silent archetype are but I think it’s the true Ace which represent yugi in a way, he gave up so much and sat behind everyone but once he broke his own chains metaphorically he became a even stronger version of himself.
Yeah, Gandora is Yugi's Dragon most likely, since Atem's would be Slifer/Osiris, Kaiba's is Blue Eyes and Joey's is Red Eyes. This represents why Joey and Yugi are such great friends and why Atem and Kaiba have such great rivalry.
Would be interesting to see an extra deck version of Gandora. Wonder what type would resonate best with him? Xyz might be tough since Gandora types usually live only 1 turn, syncro might work if he gets a tuner that playes nice with the archetype.
My guess would be: Detach 1 card to send all cards on the field to their owner's hand Detach 2 cards to destroy all cards on the field Detach 3 cards to banish all cards on the field This card gains 300 Attack and Defense points for all cards that leave the field due to this card's effect. Pay half of your life points at you end phase.
@@igorlopes8463 funnily enough just banishing them is better because the original card effect says destroy THEN banish so anything immune to destruction gets of scott free
I've had some ideas for new cards. More specifically, new Gandora cards. "Gandora's Stone of Destruction" Level 1, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster 500 ATK/300 DEF "If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Add 1 'Gandora's Chick' from your Deck to your hand." "Gandora's Chick" Level 1, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster 800 ATK/500 DEF "You can send this face-up card you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your hand or deck, ignoring its summoning conditions." "Gandora King the Dragon of Devastation" Level 8, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster 0 ATK/0 DEF "Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 1 'Gandora' monster from your hand or field to the Graveyard. This card gains 500 ATK and DEF for each banished card. Once per turn: You can pay half your LP to negate the effects of all other cards on the field, and if you do, banish them. This card cannot attack the same turn this effect is activated." "Rise of Gandora" Spell card "Select 1 level 8 'Gandora' monster from your Deck; banish it. During your next Standby phase, add it to your hand." "Gandora's Revenge" Trap card "Activate this card only when a 'Gandora' monster you control is targeted for an attack or by a monster's effect. Destroy the opponent's monster, ignoring its effects, and inflict damage to the opponent equal to the monster's ATK (card effects cannot be activated in response to this card). You can only use the effect of 'Gandora's Revenge" once per turn."
Gandora little Yugi's dragon! this card was so cool to see in the final few couple of episodes in the show when it was used and it definitely proved that Yugi can move on his own and wait there's support for this and there's an archetype I did not know that. very nice job dude and also I finally saw Dark Side of dimensions and it was awesome! I didn't know there were more versions of that card so I guess I'll say the X version is most likely my favorite.
I actually fell in love with Gandora too! I hadn't seen the rest of the series at the time because of 4kids censoring getting on my nerves, so when I saw Yugi I was like "Hold on, what? What does he have?" [Reads Gandora text] "... _Oh._ "
Have to say Gandora X is my favorite, though I would like Giga Rays Gandora. I love the destruction the cards have, one of my favorite control methods: TOTAL ANNIHILATION
My favourite Monster in every sense. I love its efects: when Normal Summoned, not only can Gandora destroy cards, but banish them also, gaining 300 ATK per every banished card. It lasts for just one turn and drains half your LP, so play it carefully.
Yugi: "I sacrifice my Marshmellon and my Silent Magician to summon this! Gandora the Dragon of Destruction!" Yami Bakura: "Not that!!" I watch episode 217 almost daily literally to hear this: Yami Bakura: "Your creatures are no match for Zorc! I should know since he and I are one in the same!" *His voice distorts* Yami Yugi: "Hold on! You mean, YOU are Zorc?!" Yami Bakura: "HA HA HA HA!!!! Surprise! How's that for a twist?!!" Hope I didn't spoil too much of the series
gandoda is my favorite card in the game. He's my ace monster in my phantom knights deck. using him to nuke the board to burn my opponent and trigger break sword effect to bust out Dark rebellion . I only use Gandora X and side orginal Gandora in my side deck. switch them around depending on the deck that I am playing against. good video.
Name: Gandora - Dragon of Death Attribute: Dark Type: Dragon Level: 12 Atk/Def: 0/0 Fusion/Effect: 1 "Gandora" Monster + 1 "Dark Necrofear. Must be Fusion Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Fusion Summoned, you can pay half your LPs to Banish all cards on your opponent's side of the field, then this card gains ATK equal to the cards Banished x500. This card cannot attack your opponent directly the turn this effect is activated. If this card would be destroyed, you can Banish 3 cards in your GY to negate its destruction.
og Gandora feels like a sort of nerf retrain of Chaos Emperor Dragon (pre errata); Both enter the field, nuke it for life point cost, then deal 300 damage to the opponent per card destroyed- CED through effect damage, Gandora through ATK gain then attacking. Neither of them stay on the field after the end phase (usually). CED also hits the hands, is usually cheaper on lp, and doesn't have to follow its effect with an attack, but that's what makes it op.
"Gandora, Giga Rays" seems like the Best of the three since it has almost no down side except that you MUST HAVE banished cards to maintain it's attack power. On the bright side, it doesn't blow itself up and it can be 'Special summoned' .... that's a plus
I freaking love these cards! They're some of my favorite cards of all time and I love building decks with Gandora in Duel Links, trying out what makes him work best.
the original Gandora The Dragon of Destruction will always be my favorite, because he actually destroys everything in a way that's much simpler to understand and use.
Gandora the Dragon of Destruction is my 5th favorite monster, and I'm probably crazy for wanting a plushie of this monster. I'm dead serious wanting that plushie btw.
this scene with gandora X and blue eyes was like an show that These dragons are rivals and that they cant beat each other i did love the new Gandora i dont did think he would get an come back.
I have an idea for a new Monster Card but I haven't came up with name Attribute: Dark Attack Points: 0 Defence Points: 0 Level: 8 Type: Dragon or Beast whatever is suitable Effects: When it is Normal Summon it gains a counter for every card the opponent is currently holding (example 3 cards 3 counters or 5 cards 5 counters) For every counter is has it gains 1000 Attack Points Apply one of these effects: • If the opponent targets it with an Spell/Trap Card or Monster Effect you can remove 1 counter negate that effect and inflict 800 Points damage to the opponent • If it battles against an Opponent's Monster if it's about to be destroyed you remove 1 counter so that it doesn't get destroyed and the battle damage you take is cut in half and amount of battle damage you take inflict the same amount to the opponent
gandora is to this day the only dragon monster i saw and instantly wanted. still use it today in a deck most people would laught at. bit its got me out of jams before haha
Looked at Dragun of Red-Eyes effect and design and after comparing them to Gandora got me thinking Konami semi wasted a good potential card that would've been a Dark Magician + Gandora Fusion to represent Yugi and Atem's connection instead of Yugi and Joey they already have Dark Flare Knight for that even though it isnt a Red-Eyes Dark Magician fusion. Yeah I know Gandora can be one of the Fusion Material if you choose to run it.
Totally agree. It definitely looks like it was originally designed to be a Dark Magician/Gandora fusion. The Red-Eyes component seems like a complete afterthought since it’s design and effects aren’t synonymous with anything that has to do with the archetype.
Ominous No, he used it for the first time in the Duel Of The Dawn arc or some shit like that. (it was the last arc of the OG DM). He had used it against Bakura and Atem. He also used it in Dark Side Of Dimensions against Kaiba.
I assume the japanese name for the og gandora means “Crush Dragon Gandra” bc crush is a word that supports destruction, the d in the Japanese name means Dragon and Gandra is probably a typo of Gandora
Please add these Card Archetypes: Buster Blader Summoned Skull Jinzo Gilford the Lightning Gaia the Fierce Knight Big Shield Gardna Battle Ox Force Raider Magician of Black Chaos Black Luster Soldier Tyrant Dragon Thunder Dragon Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth Insect Queen Insect Princess
Fun fact:If you use Dimensionhole or other cards that banishes a monster on a turn but returns on the next turn to Gandora, its effect to be sent in the Graveyard is negated which means you can use it for the rest of the duel
Okay since it seems no ones actually typed down the reason for the name Crush D Gandra Its the name of Gandora in the YuGiOh World Champion 2006 game and Tag Force 1 Game, given the limitations of the character Limits, the name was shortened to Crush D Gandra
i like breaking the game in duel links with this card [GANDORA] in combination with "half-shut", "book of taiyou", or "impenetrable attack". Because you cant summon it normally and use it's effect more than once.....u can however use "book of tayou" to flip it up without touching the normal or flip summon restrictions on your turn allowing you to use the effect without him leaving the field. If you're cheeky you'll try the half shut or impenetrable attack when they target it face down for an attack.....when your turn comes....u destroy everything..hopes, dreams, and even the game. P.s. u can use desert sunlight as well but i think it's a loss since u cant activate effects and then change battle position in that order and using desert sunlight on your turn wont allow u to change the position if it was set that turn. Have fun destroying the field every turn...but the real trick is getting him on the field....i recommend tokens u can trib like stray lambs or doomsday fire. At the least it's a 3 card combo that basically destroys everything....not sure if anything can stop it outside of quick effects and counter traps....the spell speed is extremely high on GANDORA'S effect.
at first, i didn't actually like Gandora, because Yugi already had around 5 main monsters in his deck ( Dark Magician, Buster blader, Summoned Skull, Gaia, and Sliefer) but it eventually grew on me and yeah, its pretty amazing....... still haven't figured out how to use it properly, the whole self-destruction effect was annoying
gandora x the dragon of demolition because even though he can only destroy monsters he is the best all around and the other two you have to have multiple gandoras or you let your gandora destroy everything before it parishes and leaves you wide open
Im someone who hasn't played Yugi for many years and i want to start playing again, can someone tell me about some meta decks and ill research about them specifically.
JosePabloss have a look at the duel links game on mobile.it has all of the old cards and characters from the tv show so you don't have to learn about any of the new stuff (synchro summoning, etc) as well as relearn the basics again
I think in the Movie dark side of dimensions Gandora was destroyed agains Deep-Eyes White dragon because of Deep-Eyes effect: when it's destroyed by card's effects you can destroy all of your enemies Monsters.
I love this card I just wish we got s retrain that could stay in the field as a boss most set with powerful effects maybe even a pendulum or dark magician retrain
great episode tgs after arc v is done but before vrains come out you should make a top 10 best duels video for each series oh and for your next yugioh profile videos do aiagami
ShiningDragoon107 Would that just include Dark Rebellion, Odd-Eyes Pendulum, Clear Wing, and Starving Venom -- or would it also entail their evolved forms and manga counterparts? There'd be a *lot* to cover in the latter case.
Throw gandora the dragon of demolition into a masked hero deck with soul absorbtion. I remember doing that combo with I can't remember the masked hero but I remember the effect very well all cards are banished instead of going to the grave. Summon that masked hero send two more gandora to the grave activate soul absorbtion. Mind my friends and I played in a 2v2v2v2. We didn't play the link field rule either so you can figure out the utter chaos from the chain I pulled off.
