Hey guys, I am excited to share with with you the progress of Yamaha YZ250 2 stroke dirt bike build, I sent cylinder, head and piston to Tom Morgan Racing and got some serious treatment from Tom Morgan. Custom cylinder porting and head mods will make this engine scream. Check out the video and share your thoughts. Cheers!

Hey mate from Australia. I want to tell you how much i love watching your videos. I am looking really forward to seeing this yz250 build. I ride a 2019 yz450f and my 11 year old rides a 2015 yz85. Riding with your boy is the best thing ever, I bet thats the highlight of your week ;) it wont take long and your boy will kick your but!! I am so looking forward when I wont be able to keep up with my son, he is 9 now, we had crf110 last year but right now we are on the break, he lost interest a bit.. He did a yz295 kit for me that I had on a snowbike kit. Holy hell did that thing scream! I had a 295 kit done by another guy and it ran like crap and detonated constantly.

He did my 1998 rm250 cylinder into a 265 kit and it dosnt even seem like the same bike his work made that much of a difference on it . Has tons a power now compared to befor and he will be doing my kx500 here soon to

Dirt N Iron Tom has built me RM265 best mod engine with vp u4.4 best for outdoor motocross other mods where done as well like cryo heat and micro polish complete engine and ceramic bearings put in the crankshaft main and trans a lot more but this was the best engine done from him pro Circuit doesn’t even come close

I used to do exactly the same on my CR 250..to detune it for slower trail and enduro use..worked great until I calculated the staggering costs..It was cheaper for me to sell the Honda get an older but great condition KTM big bore 2T and only have to play around with the head and compression and ignition timing add some flywheel weights and it's done..I now have a hill monster with at least twice the low down torque and mid range of a heavy 500 four stroke and still do over 100mph if need be..Its ALOT more tame now..less arm stretching and less ready to kill you when you give it just a little bit too much throttle like before..mission accomplished.

The cr250 is not a Ideal conversation bike. I was looking at getting a ktm xc/xcw and it was $1k cheaper to get a fairly fresh yz250 with some trail mods then to get a clapped out 04-06 ktm 250xc. But I'm sure location has a lot to do with it

here you go: "The price to do the porting, head combustion chamber design and machining, exhaust valve cleaning, matching and servicing, and cylinder bore deglazing/honing is $398. This also includes my TMR tuning and tech info booklet and my cell # for tech assistance."

Can anyone here help. I have a no brand big bore cylinder on my yz250. The piston say it’s size 71.94 which they don’t sell that size for Yamaha. You think a 71.95 will fit instead?
