You can open your grill lid and put something like a broom handle up top at the hinges and close the downward using slight pressure and get the gaps between lid and barrel out.
Great review. Seems like my Traeger has basically the same setup/components except the barrel is thicker so maybe it holds the heat a bit better. I’m guessing that’s the difference in cost, the thickness of the smoker body.
Yea it would have been nice for the the metal to be thicker and still keep the price point. That being said I get it, you can't have it both ways and the company make a profit.
ok, smoker... would recommend other brands especially for Customer Experience. I had paint bubbles shrugged off by Z Grills customer service, leaking grease from poor seam welds, and the temperature can fluctuate 20 plus degrees from selected temp and external temp probes. Customer service pushed my concerns with so many "try this" or "see if it continues, when you...." finally the warranty ran out and that was the last excuse they needed.
Thanks for sharing - I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I can only speak on my own behalf and have had no problems. I appreciate hearing your opinion sir.
