@@TheHoggman great cars man. it was my first nissan and i got a NA one in 2007. Had it until 2019, I’ll get another soon hopefully, currently still doing stuff to my 07 M45..Man I love Nissans
This is interesting. I would like to see a followup. How much boost? Did the coils bolt into the OEM mounting holes? Did you tuck the wiring? How did the tune go?
Man - it's running great. I've ran 22psi on e80 so far. Tune works perfect. And yes, everything was a bolt on affair. Wiring plug adapters are a little long but they allow you to position them where you want. I'll be installing an AshSpec intake here pretty soon so I'll do a more in depth look at it, but I'll be switching out the wiring adapters, soldering, and tucking the wires to look nice.
I don't suppose you have a more detailed video, kind of a lot missing. Was connecting the Z32 dust boots tricky? Do the connectors fit ok? This looks like a great setup. No plenum pull! That's great!
I don't have any more video, but I will be installing them on my other Z soon and I can take more detailed shots when I do. Everything was very straightforward, no surprises. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I had to deal with that additional ignition box that I had to deal with so I did a lot more off camera. I'll be more organized for the next video. 👍🏽
Yes, you remove the old chip and install the new chip. From what I've heard, you need to have the coil dwell time adjusted or you risk frying the coils. But I'm not an expert so you might want to reach out the BDE for real advice.
Specialty Z out of California. They are boss 👍🏽 link is in the description for the BDE kit. I thought I put Specialty Z's link in there too but it looks like I forgot - www.SpecialtyZ.com
