300 and 300 Rise of an Empire are my two favorite movies from Snyder I'm all for this prequel series

I hate prequels. Warner Discovery and Zaslav should’ve given Snyder the green light to do a New Gods film. Snyder works well with higher concepts and mythology, which is basically what New Gods and 300 are. They can connect the film to Snyder’s Justice League and Darkseid.

Sam Raimi’s last real movies were Drag Me to Hell (2009) and Oz the Great and Powerful (2013). Sam Raimi was casted, not hired for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) and also barely directed it himself as it was like Kevin would shoot scenes himself. Sam definitely didn’t write the movie. Sam should’ve been able to tell whatever Doctor Strange story he wanted instead of Kevin’s terrible script about Wanda wanting to murder a girl for no reason.

Not gonna lie, I’m actually excited for the 300 universe. I enjoyed both films from 2006 and 2014. I just hope that the prequel keeps that same energy that the previous films had.

It's going to be very interesting to see if Netflix greenlights part 3 of Rebel moon because I can tell with some fans online, either they are nervous or unsure if Snyder is going to be able to make part 3 and it looks like they have to wait and see how the director's cut work. This whole thing is on Netflix and Snyder for agreeing with the idea of making PG13 movie and releasing director's cut later on. Wasn't Rebel Moon supposed to be Star Wars killer?? He needs a director to help him reign it in.

@REELSHIFT, you're right, WB would benefit financially because Zack Snyder has a dedicated fanbase which will always show up and buys his content, which is why his movies always sell out on home entertainment (DVD, Blu-Ray), something James Gunn never had and probably never will. Also, people don't realize WB is in financial debt. There's been concerns they could lose their rights to the NBA.

I actually thought 300 is lame AF :D I was trying to avoid that movie for as long as I could because it wasn't really my genre but when finally watched (last year), it was a disappointment...I thought Sucker Punch is miles better than 300, well at least more entertaining for me. The truth is however, after AOTD and Rebel Moons, I can clearly see now the thing, that so many people were talking about before, that Snyder just puts something somewhere just because he thinks its cool - his last 3 movies are just that - scenes put together because he thinks its cool. However, I still love most his previous movies and I love his style but he cannot and SHOULD NOT do ANYTHING besides directing - even his cinematography is bad, you can't even compare it to Larry Fong's work, however much Snyder would like it. Everything Fong worked on looks EPIC in every scale, whether people like the movie or not but it looks like a museum art. Anyway, after his last 3 movies, I'd be very afraid what he would bring us, IF he would actually get the chance to finish his DC story...I don't believe him anymore and he seriously have to redeem himself, if I'm supposed to look forward for any of his work in the future. So I don't even know what to think about these news. Oh and also, AFAIK, it was known from the 1st moment, that Rebel Moons will be released in 2 ways, so he knew about it and it was up to HIM to make the short versions work without needing to see 1hour+ of them. I don't know, I'm just confused about him lately, so I guess, I'll just wait and see.

I don't like prequels because sometimes they mess up the original story. However, 300 and anything mythical is were Snyder does his better work. And I agree Zack is great at creating scenes from a script provided to him. His greatest weakness is that he tends to over stuff some of his movies with too many scenes and too much slow motion. Hence the over long movies.
