If you see a card on the stack that says “create a treasure token” you just need to run my pious sibling #magicthegathering #mtg #mtgcommunity #cardgame #mtgcommander
@@radiontherooftimeooo233Zada is actually female, if I recall correctly. Not that it matters. Misgendering MTG cards is just a pet peeve, sorry. It may seem strange to be annoyed about this, but I have friends who genuinely think both Niv mizzet reborn, and Piru the volatile are both female, while Shana, sisay's legacy is apparently a dude. Again, I'm aware that it doesn't really matter, and sorry.
I respect goblin players. They have one plan, which is to make like a clown car only angrier and either it works or it doesn't. Either way, the game ends quickly and is mostly quite fun.
The true fun of having a zada deck comes from being able to use dirt cheap commons in red as OP buffs for your whole side. I love seeing stuff like 1 mana +2/+0 and trample and seeing it as an OP thing, then buying it for less than a quarter
@@kronjuwel9584 i play it rarely, in rotation with a few others. Does draw some hate, but not to the level where its unplayable. I always stick to the golden rule that they cannot know if my hand is trash or usable until my deck goes explosive and takes out at least the biggest threat
One of the hardest parts of playing Zada is keeping track of how big your gobbos are after only a couple spells. Cast something like Fist of flames and suddenly your 8 goblins all have different power lol
Or a well timed removal on Zada. Although I gotta say it's also kinda hilarious when you get 4 goblins killed and then everyone goes "why you doing nothing ?"
*Yess*, literally screamed (well, more of a soft pseudo-shout) "yes" when I saw this first thing, top of my recommended when I opened RU-vid for the first time today! Thank you!! (It's me, the tatyova/Zada guy) I wish all mald hounds, a very pleasant evening (to quote the meme).
I LOVE THIS COMMANDER. Only commander I’ve seen who can make use of of Splice onto Arcane spells. Take random arcane spell, splice on something that has the word “target creature”, oh no that spell now gets copied by Zada. Yes this works with Desperate Ritual, yes Desperate Ritual can ALSO be spliced onto other things. Have you ever seen a deck make four thousand mana without going infinite? Because Zada can.
Very nice Mono-Color Pauper Commander. And given the fact that in Pauper Commander "board wipes" are situational or very low damage, unless they have 1 toughness, they are sticking around. Hope you get your targeted removal ready, you will need it.
Don't forget that Zada is an Ally, I run her and a few protection spells in my Tazri deck so they can very easily be turned into "I'm pretty much phased out" gameplay if needed while still being good for when she's not out
Zadas in my Imodane, The Pyrohammer deck. The card draw is a bonus, his real job is just in case someone gives their creatures protection from red, I can casually blow all my own stuff up.
I used that specific art as inspiration for my third and final character in Curse of Strahd. Thr lord of Barovia getting killed by a Sun Blade wielding fighter in full plate with a witch hat jumping down 50 ft of stairs is a very fond memory.
I love Zada in my Xyris deck. 20+ combat tricks, politic negotiating swinging Xyris at players who want more cards, and applying buffs to my army of snakes to close the game.
My favorite Zada combo is Zada, Professional Face-Breaker, and any targeted spell that makes a treasure by way of collateral. Keep diggin boys, you'll find those pumps somewhere in the top 30 cards of the deck!
@@alilhard That's also a really good one, but I use the Face-Breaker because it lets you sac the treasures for impulse draw, so you can just keep going and going and getting more and more pump spells, especially if you have multiple single-target spells that make a treasure in your deck. Storm-Kiln is, of course, just gravy on the cake after that.
Zada is also very creepy.. So Tuk-Tuk was their tribes leader and always told them to consume rocks and hedrons to become stronger. Well one day Tuk-Tuk was out exploring a cavern. He saw a bunch of hedrons and one strange looking one. Being a goblin, Tuk-Tuk decided to touch it. (it was a trap). The hedron exploded, destroying Tuk-Tuk but not before releasing some unknown eldrazi magic. Tuk-Tuk was fused to the rubble and became a sort of Golem-Goblin hybrid. The thing had Tuk-Tuk's brain, even though they were splattered on the cave walls. Returning to his encampment as the Golem-Goblin creature he now was, his second death came very soon... When Zada decided to consume him for power.
I build a Zada storm deck once The only thing scarier than a group of methed-up goblins is a self-perpetuating goblin meth singularity that just. Keeps. Growing.
VICTORY ! One of my favourite decks and also one of the only two I have that are forever banned from about all my playgroups because it usually represents a turn 5 clock. Plus once you add the mana generators like Birgi or hopefully Storm-kiln artist and a little bit of Seize the day it quickly becomes "you get stomped ! you get stomped ! everybody gets stomped !" Hilariously fun deck plus very budget, what's not to love.
Love Zada. This was the first commander i built a deck around as a new player with my 2nd hand cheap magic card lot i got off market place. And damn was i happy when i beat my friends infamous Precon Sliver deck which he had spent a good amount of money adding those extra F you Slivers to it.
Favorite mono-red commander. If I'm not interacted with I will win T4 every time. Targeted rituals or spells that pay for their own mana suddenly net mana. Mana snowball + card draw snowball = draw your deck, pump your board to infinity, and then burn your opponents. Or drop 6+ goblins and zada, play Transmogrify, and suddenly you have 7 combo pieces on the battlefield.
It's like Ink-Treader Nephilim, but not in Group Hug colors and actually usable since its spells you cast only working on your own stuff instead of anyone's spells to everyone's stuff.
And if anyone's wondering whether or not they should ok Ink-Treader Nephilim as a 'rule 0' commander..... It's Zada..... but if Zada had access to 4 colors and snorted ALL the coke. And a friendly reminder that Ink-Treader has easy access to ALL the hexproof so, no, you're NOT targeting her.^^
When Oathbreaker first became a thing I built Ral, Storm Conduit + Polymorph with token makers and only 3 creature cards in the deck. Zada, Mirrorwing Dragon, and Chancellor of the Forge. The rest of the deck was things like Expedite for Zada/Mirrorwing to copy for my board, trigger Ral's passive and pinging my opponent for every copy made. My friends didn't play Oathbreaker very long.
Wait until you see the card Flick a Coin. Not only will you be drawing a shit load of cards, you will also be making an equal number of treasures. Only 2 of those 12 cards you just drew will be useful to you, but now you get to do it again because of course you do.
I have a Feather, the Redeemed deck and cards like Zada are in the 99. I also have Mirrorwing Dragon in there. I about fell out of my chair the time the black player with a full board used a kill spell on the dragon.
Now. I hear you. This could mean one cracked out gobo army. What I see is a focused laser canon of mirrors. See what you do is you get a bunch of creatures that, when they take damage, they instead deal damage to your opponent. Now this sort of thing tends to make said opponent gunshy. So pull the FUCKING TRIGGER FOR HIM LIKE A PSYCHOPATH! Hit Zada with a lightning bolt and watch your opponent's face melt as he's hit by 6 lightning bolts in one turn! *malicious laughter of an evil most foul!*
Saw this Commander for the first time recently when a person came to the LGS with a Pauper Commander deck. It was a real menace and did exactly as described in this video before the dude realised he didn't kill anyone during his big turn aaaand yep.
As a Zada main, my goal in commander is to draw more cards then the local blue player. If I happen to vomit enough power onto the board to kill everyone else, it is just a happy coincidence I swear.
I have a Zada deck, but she isn't the commander. The commander is Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer who can go and fetch Zada, after I've used green to ramp and I have white for those sweet indestructible instants. Throw in Wilderness Reclaimation and you never have to worry about anything.
I pulled the hardcore version of that once. Got pushed into a corner and I went okay fuck everything. Literally everything. Chaos warp, radiant performer. We spent nearly an hour shuffling and playing an entire new board for each player one card at a time.
Could you take a look at Agrus Kos, Eternal Soldier? He's basically Zada, but for abilities instead of spells, with a 2-Mana cost attached, and in Boros.
The great thing about Zada is just how cheap you can make your deck without sacrificing power. My Zada deck costs 30 bucks if I ordered all the cards, but in practice it cost like 15, because so many of the cards are just bulk common instants that you get in every set. And yet it still is dangerous, because those instants quickly become overwhelming when you have six or seven creatures, some of which have prowess. And the mana curve is absurd, I think Zada might be the highest CMC card in the entire deck.
Indomitable creativity pops off hard in a Zada build. Dump half your deck (and bowels) into play on turn 4-6, lmao. Plan to build a no black deck that runs secret commanders in Zada and feather the redeemed, with the goal being to storm off via thousand year storm. Green is in there only for ramp.
The playgroup: "So this is just a cool pump spells aggro deck, right?" The Zada player: "No, it's an "I draw 5 cards for one mana three times in one turn" kind of deck
