As we see here the wild zato performs his mating ritual with the wild millia. To attract his mate he must dash dance around her. Once gaining her attention, they perform a ritual known as footsies, this is a sign that the millia is interested. The zato gives off one final burst to show his affection, until the video is cut off for stuff we cannot show here. This has been the zato mating ritual on animal planet.
I like that hearing this in an actual match means you and your opponent have to stop fighting, considering Zato and Millia stopped fighting once he was resurrected. It’s like they finally put their beasts away and started talking.
There's something extremely poetic about the "HURRY" coming seconds after, "Give me the tools to LIIIIIIVE in the PAAAAAST", followed by the "TIMES UP".
My only problem with Strive’s music: You never really get to hear the best parts of the themes in a match. What immediately counters this? You can just find it on the internet
I once had some sweet memories Its worth remains the same How can I remember those moments, sweetheart? Tell me (tell me) TELL ME If there's a man who can make anything Give me the tools to live in the past It's all gone down so deep, I can't see anymore. If that's not the way to go Let me... let me Let me carve your way I'm a shadow, always... with you
I like how you can only hear it in impossible circumstances... I think the reason behind it is that Zato has had time to think, and the screaming is him venting his frustration. The post-nut clarity allows him to really dig into his emotions and beneath the anger there's an intense loneliness and depression. He literally cannot feel emotions (lore reasons) EXCEPT for the love he feels towards Milia. Despite the bulk of the song not being about Zato Carving Her Way, it's its title showing how important she is to him. The only other themes this long or longer are Baiken's and Ram's who both have similar reasons: "Post-nut clarity shows how they really feel."
