Hi Evie, Is it okay to take 50mg zinc supplements everyday? Im on intermittent fasting and i only eat a small amount of meat everyday, my diet consists of mostly vegetables & fish. Appreciate your feedback! ❤
Hey there! I usually wouldn’t recommend more than 40mg a day as a supplement unless you are already deficient as you wouldn’t want it to affect your copper and iron levels. Seafood tends to have a good amount of zinc 🙂 Also, intermittent fasting I approve!
If it’s severe you will need to see a dr. If it’s mild you can try cutting down on zinc-rich foods and increase milk and foods containing phytates (eg. Cereal, rice and corn) which can help reduce zinc absorption. You can also take a copper supplement. If you haven’t been taking excess zinc then it’s important to understand why you have excess and whether you have any underlying conditions. 🙂
Can’t find my reply. Lol. Anyway i take the zinc + from swisse, i think its 25mg. Not sure if any in Vital Greens , i take that daily. Thanks for the video
