@@quack89 “technically” they do and it’s called any % speedrun. Meaning the use of specific gums that usually aren’t allowed in regular runs are allowed but I think that they can include something like that to allow spliced runs

The only problem I see with that is how would you know when one run has glitches and when one doesn’t

The issue with splitting speedrun categories into even more categories though is that each time you make a split, you greatly reduce player numbers in that category. And that's not necessarily good if it causes the player count to fall too drastically. Nobody will speedrun a category where there is no competition.

The problem is then only the people who spend thousands of dollars on a dead game can ever compete, because without infinite gobblegums you have to spend thousands on a game that is usually pretty unsafe to play online on pc

speedrun mods are the best in the world at spotting people cheating at their game so idk how actually useful it would be but go for it bro

@@nissansucc5486 fair point but sometimes they may not know of a new technique or program that could give an unfair advantage to a supposed speed runner that the moderators may not have thought of or have access to as tech or file manipulation gets better and more stealthy.

i mean rng is a huge reason certain times cant be beaten, so its a huge factor , even if he has the skill , still majorly cheating

@@fleetingselfconfidence612 yeaa rng does suck , but for some, that rng adds to the replay ability of going for records, yk to each their own , but like the rng with gums isnt gonna be making EXTREME diffs in times just seconds and maybe a minute

Not really we can use bo3 as an example if you go on console derisen has only 3% players playing which isn’t much.that’s why if you leave the game and come back you’ll be out in the same lobby every time .Even pc has its limit in players not many are playing
