Ordered my EQB 350 4MATIC Premium Plus. Unfortunately, Merc advised they cannot add the Driving Assistance Pack to the Premium Plus model. Some issues they have. Also, I have not purchased the car, it is part of the salary sacrifice scheme at work. £498 per month. Includes, fully comp insurance, yearly service, tyre replacements, curtesy car, roadside assistance, accident management and road tax. Would never buy it outright ridiculously priced. Arrives in July. Excited.
You lost me at no storage for cables.. smacks of laziness and or a shortcoming that engineers couldnt or wouldn’t overcome. Disappointing car. But good review
Waiting for a delivery of my new 2024 3008E. Loved watching your video, Im so excited to see and drive it ASAP. Thank you for an honest talk on it. It's Roarrrrring 👍
You really need to make these videos more concise! A whole hour of this comparison? Please script write and/ or edit them a bit better!! So much waffle!
Love this review. I actually love the Drive, Park mode on the steering wheel. Do you know how i can attain the mirror from the icon and have it fitted? Yes i like cows so don't want the iconic, just in case people tell me to go a spec higher.
I have the PHEV 225 GT Premium, which should have come with 3D dash and wireless charger but because of Supply Chain issues, I was paid for the missing items, though the dealer fitted the wireless pad later on. Mine has a sunroof and a powered seat which reverses when I get in and out of the car. Mine does have all the toys, 360 camera, powered boot, heated and massage seats. 0-60 in 7.6 secs so not slow slow. They stopped the Premuim models because of the Supply Chain issues I recon. I also paid less than the allure price you mention too.
You may have noted the frequent use of the word “kinna”. This is simply the Scottish abbreviation of “kind of”. Hope this note alleviates any misunderstanding. 😂
I agree, not having apple android CarPlay, and wireless charging as standard on base model is a slap on the face when MB is asking for over £70k at the time it first came out. Stingy doesn’t even accurately sum up their attitude on that
I have 2017 petrol smart . Every smart I have owned has been great in different ways. They are great in urban areas they can be parked effortlessly and they can turn on a penny. Downside each generation has got bigger and slightly more gas guzzle. My first two smarts fit in my 1980s garage perfectly with zero effort my 2017 smart I can drive into garage but it is extremely tricky to get out without damaging the doors.. I blame the Americans when smart decided to sell in USA the car got made larger. On plus side it did get a much better gear box but I kinda liked the old one yes it had its quirks but when you took your foot off the accelerator it didn’t have any creep. Well I want an EV have wanted one for years partly why I bought my first smart to have less impact on environment. I never quite understood in past why people so obsessed by petrol prices as my smarts used very little 😂 but the smart 2017 in petrol is certainly no longer modern. Fun to drive and solid and well built but it lacks a certain something. Like all motorists I have experienced the atrocious deterioration of our roads which is especially apparent in a classic smart car. It never was an issue but in last 8 years it’s got worse and worse. So solution maybe a hashtag 1 very expensive but it looks and sounds great. Thanks for your review but part of me still disappointed I never got round to owning a brand new smart eq it wasn’t till today I even knew they stopped making them in April 2023 😮
If you’re need an estate care, you’re probably going to be happy with a plodder. Either for work or for tripping with the whole family. Is it rated to tow and if so, what are the limits, in-braked & braked?
Good to have easy access to turn assistance off but try it before you do. Renault have done a very good job and they are less aggressive and annoying than other brands.
I just bought the C40 Recharge Ultimate this week. It's my first EV purchase. I narrowed my choice down to the C40 and Mustang Mach E GT. I'm glad I opted for the Volvo. I felt it was better overall. I drove both extensively. The Volvo just feels better, drives better and felt more refined.
Good test, sympathetic presentation. For those who think they can hang a trailer behind it: towing weight is zero. Another good reason to look forward to another car. Peugeot has completely lost its way with its price policy. The car looks nice, but my money is not ugly either.
My fondness for Peugeot is rapidly evaporating, In inverse proportion to price increases. Be interesting to see what dealers do as who cares what Peugeot `want`?
I have a 308SW PHEV whiich i love. The styling, dashboard and small steering wheel are great. I will look at the electric version because there are massive discounts, without them, it's massively overpriced.
Ignore the lust prices there are £10k discounts to be had on those. Then, its a bargain. One benefit of the lower power is a lower insurance group. Some EVs with lots of power are very expensive to insure.
Yeah, right. After the massive scam VW pulled on its diesel customers and its refusal to do the right thing for them, you'd have to be a sucker to voluntarily give those criminals your hard earned money. They will never get another penny from me. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
What a pity Renault aren’t doing a Megane Estate; it would cover all the shortcomings of this pretty dreary offering. I think the Megane is way better looking as well.
This is a great comparison, very useful for deciding what to buy. However, there is a mistake as he says he is reviewing the MG trophy but then also says it is not the highest trim. I have the MG ZS Ev Essence, which is the middle of the range, with the 51kw battery and it does not have connectivity in the back, or an arm rest in the back, it is in the long range model that has those extras.
In the UK at the time of the test, the ZS only comes in two trim levels - the SE and the Trophy (which came with two battery options). It was the Trophy Long Range that was in the test. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment, and I’m glad you enjoyed the review.
Looks good internal set is good but as you say why no wireless charging and an electric with no cable storage, why. Range is poor and why the false exhaust. Not too impressed overall.
