The real FBI loved the ABC series portrayal of their institution, especially the cast…Efrem Zimbalist Jr. in particular…for portraying the agents as no-nonsense and stalwart in their pursuit of the criminals and justice.
Wow!!! I've been hunting this theme down for years!!! I remember this as the theme to the Prudential College Scoreboard after the games. Makes me think of Keith Jackson, John McKay, Darrell Royal, Bo vs Woody, and bowl games that actually meant something. These were the years when there were four games, and only four games every New Year's Day, every single year: the Cotton Bowl was first on CBS, then the Rose Bowl in the late afternoon on NBC, followed by the Sugar Bowl on ABC and the Orange Bowl on NBC at night. And your team had to win a league championship to get there. This had to be the intro music to that classic USC - ND game from '73 or '74, the "Anthony Davis Game," one of the greatest college football games of all time.
They used to run this on the PBS channel in Chicago back in the 70s. The series left an indelible impression on me. I wish I could find the collection.
Being a proud Gen-Xer in west-central Wisconsin, who had the main TV station in his town be an NBC affiliate … … this makes me LOVE my Saturday afternoons all over again - and with, THE BREWERS! This is MY CREW!
What a GLORIOUS time it was to be alive back then. I really feel sorry for the Generation today who will not Experience those Sunday’s. Besides the Music we had the BEST NFL Announcers in the world, UNBIASSED, Called the Game HONESTLY & No BULL💩 from them about there Politics. Those were Days that NEVER will be Forever GONE. And let’s not forget how the Game was Better back Then IMHO.
Living in the metropolitan area in the late 70's....We watched the nightly news on channel 4 every evening during the week....This classic captures the mood and resonates the feel of the NYC landscape.....
