Welcome to my RU-vid channel focused on sharing yoga sessions & other life insights. The end goal is to create an effortless living, to allow one to flow with life.
My Yoga sessions are traditional, aimed at enhancing self-awareness and building deep body awareness, thereby allowing one to connect with their body, mind and spirit. Yoga is the path to greater self-awareness & transformation, and freedom from daily mental fluctuations. The benefits of Yoga transcend beyond the mind, body and the soul.
I will also be sharing with you my stories and insights that have helped me tremendously in my own journey. I look forward to sharing my journey with you, supporting you on your own path to self-discovery and growth through Yoga.
Let's bring that alignment with in us. Let's join the Flow of Life!
Dear Monika, a few days ago this practice helped me to come out of my depression. Thanks so much for that! There is another tip I want to give you. You often say 'find a new edge'. Well, sometimes I start with putting my edge to high, I want to much of myself, my body and mind. I am sure I am not the only one in this! 🙂 So sometimes finding a new edge can also mean that you have to slow down and go LESS deep in stead of deeper into a posture. To find the right balance between challenging yourself and be kind en gentle to yourself sometimes means to work less hard! Hope you can follow me, in English it's harder to explain. Good luck, Marjelle
This practice is a blessing for mind. I used to have anxiety, and this practice helped me go through that as well. This practice also taught me to accept my pain. I totally love what you said about EDGE...and even though I do this a lot in my personal life, as in I go back and slow down but I never really thought of finding the new edge this way. I am amazed at how you saw this. You are absolutely right about it. Wow. I am only grateful for your insight on this. I would love to mention this in upcoming sessions. I somehow always feel aligned to your suggestions. Thanks a lot for this.❤️❤️🙏
@@girlwiththeflow Thank you very much for sharing something about the things you went through! I am still in the middle of a very deep transformation process in my 'midlife-crisis'( I am 54 years old). I can see that I have good insights about myself and I am very glad that it also means that much to you! For me yin-yoga means healing my selflove and resisting the strong and heavy thoughts that make me believe I need work and a husband to be some-one. I am now too sick for both so I need to find another way to feel good with myself. Yoga, Chi kung and free expression in dancing and singing are my healing way...Love, Marjelle
@@marjellebrussee1793 We share dancing (free expression for me too) and Yoga as few of the ways to connect with the self. I used to have low-self-worth and felt exactly like what you said that I needed a man to feel worthy and which kind of defined my life until I took charge and started to find my worth beyond anything external. I realised that my existence itself shows my worth and embraced my own unique essence that I am born with. I did a lot of Meditation as well and practiced self-awareness like yourself. It does take time and dedication to get out of our old beliefs and patterns but all the work in this direction is worth it. I am really exploring myself even more these days, trying to learn a music instrument also 😃 PS this is a beautiful conversation :) Love Monika
@@girlwiththeflowYes, it's nice to be able to communicate like this! I am glad you found your way back to selflove and independance! It must have been a heavy journey for you too. I am facing a lot of really dark thoughts and feelings these days and it's very hard not to give in, allowing it to be but also keep working on my inner peace. I also pray a lot. And I get help from people that again and again lister to my heavy story. I am thankfull for that but still it gets very lonely sometimes...But today was a good day, because I really took the time for everything, didn't ask too much of myself and took my time to rest and sleep. Love, Marjelle
@@marjellebrussee1793 Having the intention to free yourself is enough for any change to show up..rest everything will fall into place I know. I am here to talk to you as well whenever you want to. My well wishes are with you... everything is perfect, it is a matter of time that we see it...all the love to you ❤️
Yes, this session is little challenging altogether. Usually I mix and match the poses. I am glad you enjoyed it though. Thanks a lot for your comment ❤️🙏
Hi there! Sure I will include some in the next session so you can also incorporate that in upcoming practices; however, normal breathing practices are ok while I wouldn't suggest any active pranayama because Yin is about surrender and letting everything be, which would also include your breath, so it is great if you want to consciously control your breath in some poses, but mostly it would be better to just observe your natural rhythm of the breath so you can truly relax and surrender in your pose and not really getting into any action even though it is subtle. ❣
Yin Yoga is amazing to do after workout. It will help you stretch and work on the releasing tension that we get after workout sometimes❤️If it is active Yoga then you can either do before or maybe in the evening if your workout time is morning. 😌😀
Dear Monika, I still follow your practice although it is still to fast for me, most of the times! I am going through a very heavy time of my life, having a lot of mental and psysical problems and together with being High Sensitive I must slow down with everything now! But I need on line yoga-classes very much now and you are still one of my favourite teachers! Good luck and hope to see more of you. Marjelle
Hi Marjelle, Thank you for your comment. I am actually intending to make these practices a bit more slower already so upcoming practices will be slower. I am glad to hear how you are taking charge of your mental and physical well-being. It does require a lot of willpower but I am sure you have it. I am happy to know that I am one of your favourites, I am committed to provide more of my practices on this platform because that heals me and makes me happy ❤️
Hi mam..thank you for amazing videos.and i want to know does yoga helps to reduce overall weight and if it does can you please suggest the sequence of your videos to follow for same . thank you
Hi! Thank you for your lovely words. Yes you can loose weight through yoga given the diet is taken care of as well. Even though Yoga is meant to be for mind but all other physical benefits come as a by product. Yoga can help you really tone your body. For losing weight I would suggest doing a bit stronger sessions with some Vinyasas in between. Increase the number of Surayanamaskaras, A&B both. Do at least 5 rounds of each. So do these and then follow any of the yoga practice for the rest of 40-45 min. I will leave you some video links here so you will have an idea..❤️ link will be put in separate comment here.

@@girlwiththeflow thank u so much for reverting back and I will surely do the 40-45 min of yoga practice along with suryanamaskar a and b ,and is vinyasa yoga different from rest since I am not able to find much about that on your channel.btw thanks for the recommendation.I will do let you know the progress of mine
thank you for this helpfull yin practice. I like your kind and slow way of talking us into the asana's. But also would love more stillness, so more time when there is just silence without instruction and also even more time to stay in the asana. For me music is also very helpfull to relax and focus on feeling my body. Allowing what is going on inside your body , heart and mind needs a lot of time and stillness, that is at least my experience. Love, Marjelle
Thank you for your lovely feedback and sharing your experience. Just to clarify you mean once we are in asana you need less instructions and less talking or should I reduce instructions while we are getting into the asana, , this will help me make the change accordingly. Your feedback is well received, I totally agree with you on needing more quiet time to dive within 🙏❤️ love
@@girlwiththeflow Once we are in asana it would be very helpfull for me if the instructions would stop and there is just music and silence. Maybe you can even say something like 'now I will stop talking and give you some time to just be with yourself in this asana'. I think that would help the mind to hear this out loud so the mind knows I don't have to concentrate on listening anymore for a few minutes or even longer. Can you follow me?
@@marjellebrussee1793 Thank you for taking the time out and explain this to me. I do follow you and it is a good suggestion about mentioning about giving time to connect with the self. I will do this for most of the poses; however, sometimes naturally some insights would just flow and there are many practitioners who have mentioned that they like little piece of insights that I share in between; so I think I will need to strike a good balance out there. I love your suggestions and I would like to implement this in the coming recordings..and include some insights maybe just at one or two place maximum which doesn't take the self-time away..Thanks a lot for this, I really really appreciate it. I have 1-2 videos already recorded but from the new I am going to implement this.❤❤
@@girlwiththeflow Yes, you must find the balance that feels good for you and then the people who like this will follow...For me it feels better to do the asana's by myself now, and listen only to some relaxing music without any instruction. But thanks a lot for the yin-asana's!
At 62, I find myself in this situation. Having practiced yoga for 40 plus years, has saved my life. However, I still put my family before myself and stayed in a workplace that has been toxic but paid the bills, etc. I am grateful for that. Your words ring loud and true even at my age. I cannot quit my job but I have been working on my music which has alway been where my heart is. Not sure where it will lead , if anywhere, but I have to move forward and pursue what comes my way. Your thoughts n words have given me more insight as to how I have managed to block up these natural instincts of mine. So thank you very much. Also, going to hear Willie Nelson perform this week at 91 years old! I'm praying you can teach an old dog new tricks after all❤ PS. Stumbled onto your website of classes about 2 months ago! Absolutely resonate with your approach and find it reminds me of my early years of yoga practice, before internet. Refreshing, yet nostalgic. 😊
I could connect with you so much just through this comment. As if I am hearing it from someone I already know. I am so moved to hear that at this point in life also you have your passion or interest alive in you. What is beautiful is you didn't forget about it. Small little steps, taken towards what we like, are heard by existence and you will receive support in that direction. And if course without waiting for the results to show, do it for the fun of it 😁 i believe having love for something is in itself a gift, something that your soul truly enjoys. Not many people are able to find that. I am happy you are enjoying yoga practices with me. I try to keep them as rooted in traditional yoga and basics as I can... Please keep writing and let me know how it is going...I have my email on my channel page if you like to email. Or I can share here if you need ... So much love to you.❤️🙏
