Was labor included in this price or is this just material alone? Me and my brother and planning on building a house together around 1000sqft and I did some rough calculations for material cost and it was less than this but I have had some people tell me it would be more 🤷♂️
I love this little home 🏠 just perfect for me couldn’t live in anything smaller…perfect for an elderly person…how much did it cost to built? And does it include the land? Love the idea of having an area for washer and dryer….👏👏👏👏👏thank you for sharing 💕you did a great job loved it….
Just a douchebag thing to do honestly. Obviously that ending was a weird thing to setup for the ending of the channel. It's messed up to leave thousands of people in the dark.
It’s not messed up; it was just a strange coincidence. People tracked down his family, and he passed away from complications of COVID-19 at the end of 2020. Please don’t denigrate his character when that is simply not what happened.
@MigraineCraftsman this is great! Thank you for doing this and giving me some great inspiration! I will be moving in with my daughter and her husband and just today I proposed to them converting the garage to a small ADU for me. They are open to the idea so we all have our privacy. Just looking at minimizing the cost. This is close to what I need except they do not have the additional space where you put the bathroom. Also, I would like some sort of door possibly a foldable door and enclose the top so I don't get food smell in the bedroom. They have a regular one car garage. Would you be willing to do a video for that?
What about in the bottom of your house. Can't you have a laundry room side -by-side washer and dryer under the house? Is it a walk-out basement? With water damages, I prefer the water heater and machines nearest an exit door. What are the measurements of the house and proptery? Can a couple of storage buildings be built on the property? Is the soil tested for a garden? Can a owner have animals on that property? Thank you. I like what I see and could see additional floor space added on.
I love the smaller windows! Because all the windows do is take up wall space! I want this house! Perfect for me a single senior lady! But unfortunately I’m in Wisconsin, much to my regret!
I read a penn state experiment where the researchers were out to solve the problem that poor people have when trying to build a house. Municipalities all have construction standards, one of which requires work that only contractors can do and at great cost.. which is get the footers below Frontline to protect the house from frost heave. Foundations in the north are prohibitively expensive and lock out all but 2-income families from building. The researchers found that foundation costs in the north can be cut to 1/3 the cost by employing a slight amount of heating under the house so that the ground never freezes in winter at the footers.. thus no heave. The amount of heat was basically 5 lightbulbs and only failed during a hundred year prolonged freeze event.. at which point the structure needed interior drywall seam pasting to be whole again. In my area land to build on is scarce it's 80k an acre then 400k to build a 1200sf house using contractors. The poor need these regulations to keep up with technology.
Hello, I live in Hawaii. Do you have a PDF of the layout of this house? I really like how you covered the Pex with PVC. I would like to reproduce this house in Hawaii.
The problem will always be sqft house requirements set by just about everyone. It’s getting harder and harder and more damn expensive to buy unrestricted land
I'm looking to rebuild a small 1 bedroom 1 bath home on an existing concrete foundation. It has a 2' crawl space. All utilities are still in place but I have no idea how to design the structure.
