@SamH-bn8vo Hi mate, I started dabbling in this when I was 25 so I'm not sure what you can do in your situation, sorry. Might be best to make a few enquiries and if you're looking at buying and selling cars long term then I'd recommend looking at taking out a trade insurance policy 👍
Beautiful! I love mine just got it at 165k miles , and turns out its the titanium package! I didn’t know that when i bought it LOL Enjoy your car friend 💪🏼💪🏼
@davidt7431 Unfortunately mine was short lived as it had engine issues. However, I loved it in the time I had it for. I'm glad you got a nice surprise though, that's awesome!
It was a split wire in the wiring harness in the inside of the passenger door (you can see it as soon as you open it). A quick solder solved the trick.
@jamessavarimuthu378 I got an auto electrician to have a look at it and he found there was some split wiring in the passenger door (in the gap where the door opens up near the hinge). So it was soldered back together and that fixed the issue
ITS THE DEFAULT MESSAGE. No one is legitimately typing that out. FB fills that pre typed on the buyer’s side, so that sellers can get more engagement w/o understanding the process pain points for their customers. Buyer’s are letting you know their interest in the easiest/quickest way.
Hi mate, do u only sell on facebook or do u use any other playforms? And how long does it usually take for u sell your cars? I purchased 2 from bca and its been 10 days now advertised on autotrader and facebook but no interest as of yet
Mainly Facebook and eBay. It's been a slow month in general to be honest. Just keep refreshing your ad on Facebook (deleting and reposting) to bump it up the listing's.
Hi mate, all in with fees was £484 but around double that again spent on it (mainly a new windscreen). No official warranty, more of a gentleman's agreement and I just sort ant problems if they arise - luckily, they very rarely do.
@@carsnstuffuk so did u sell the car yet? If so what did it go for ? If u havnt sold it yet what have i got it on for? Also are u selling thru autotrader? Lastly when the car was at bca what grade was it?
@GANJAMAN-1987 not sold yet. I've actually been using it for work as its fairly economical. I never sell on autotrader although I might do in the future. And it was a grade 4
Great job, especially on lights. Did you have to change the windscreen, was it a mot failure ? How much to change the windscreen anyway?. The seats still look quite bad, would it be worth it but covers you think?
Thanks. Yep £ 360 on a new heated windscreen. I've since gone over the seats again with a wet vac. Just didn't have time when originally cleaned the car.
If really love to see the worries, if you had to get tax and insurance for just having the cars for a few days, but besides that, keep up the great content 👍🏻
I have trade insurance so I don't get individual temp policies for cars. I also tax cars on a monthly basis and cancel the direct debits when I've sold them but as I buy and sell quite a few, I just take the annual amount paid for all cars and put it through as expenses.
Hi this is a bit of a late comment but: 1) how did you pay for insurance to drive it back to your place? Short term cover is so expensive! 2) did the buyer inquire about why you were selling the car? Did you have to tell porkies about how long you’ve had it etc. 3) when you sell the car do you register it sold online with the dvla and that’s it? Cheers and great video
Hi mate - to answer your questions: 1. I have a trade insurance policy 2. Just be honest and say I buy and sell cars. It's usually in better condition and serviced etc. 3. Pretty much. DVLA site is open from 7am til 7pm or you can post the V5. Any other questions then just let me know 👍
Cheers. If you have trade insurance then make sure you have demo cover. If not, make sure they have fully comprehensive cover rather than fire and theft as that'll only cover the other car in an accident, not yours.
There's all sorts of companies you could use. However, I always give a "gentleman's agreement" so if anything goes wrong, they come back to me. Luckily they rarely bring anything back
Amazing how you improved the paintwork with just polishing. Would you be able to cover the other blemishes with a rattle can or would that just make a mess? Subscribed 👍
Loving your new style and great to put a face to the name. A very interesting and well produced vid, wish I had the bottle to do what you do. Keep up the good work
Thanks, it's much appreciated. Not too sure if I want to be in front of the camera yet though. Need to put the videos together better too but it's all a learning curve!
For a trader, you won't pay tax if you keep it off road and insurance is different for everyone so quite difficult to include that in costs. However, if you sell a few cars and make decent profit, it should more than cover the cost of your annual insurance.
@carsnstuffuk scrap ulez was policy in mayor election, Sir Nigel is not in favour of electric car's, think they might revisit phony Blairs stupid smoking ban, I know Nigel disagrees with it 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇬🇧🇮🇪
Not a warranty by law, but the customer can return the car if not fit for purpose. Always best to provide a warranty though as the warranty company will sort at their end
If you're a trader then you complete the trade section online so the original v5 is still valid. So in essence, you can buy and sell a car on the same day if you so wish
You need to take out a trade insurance policy to be eligible. However, some local car auction sites allow members of the public to bid so it maybe worth seeing if there's any local to you 👍
@@carsnstuffuk I’m relatively local to you and have started on the same sort of side hustle over the last few months currently on my 3rd car from BCA and all have been relatively good so far 🤞always looking for more tips etc so keep it up
@stevePC well done mate! It's a great side hustle to be fair. More than happy to give any pointers - also happy to receive them too - can never learn enough in this game I find haha! Keep it up mate 👍
I'm not sure to be honest - I would imagine you would but just explain your circumstances when you apply for a trade insurance policy as they're usually tailor made around you
Loving the content. Finding it really helpful. What do you do with the V5 when you buy a car. Do you register yourself as a keeper and wait for the V5 to come in your name before selling the car?
Great vid, question tho, me being new at this, do you or did you pay for temp car insurance and get road tax when you bought the car and then just added that price on to the sell value?
Thanks mate. I've got trade insurance and trade plates. If you're starting off and trying things out then temp insurance and taxing it via direct debit (and cancelling it when you sell it) would be the best short term solution. I'm in the process of generating a video on how to become a trader so that should hopefully answer a few questions
Great vid I find auto trader customers much better quality than Facebook customers I normally just get temp insurance for a few hours How much is trade insurance and trade plates
@parvinkukar1259 I don't advertise on Autotrader so I can't really comment. I advertise on ebay though. Trade insurance really depends on where yiure based, how many cars you need and the value of the vehicles you have. Best thing to do would be tk go on to quote zone and they'll put you through to a broker 👍
Hi, please try to give me any possible advice to my situation. I am 18 years old, I have had my license for 3 months. I have a 2014 1.0 Ford Focus, I pay 4000 for insurance! I have good knowledge in cars, I have been following this industry for a long time, I want to start doing this business, buying cars from an auction and selling it for profit. I managed to get a BCA account, and now I can access it and bid on cars. My problem is, if I bid on a car and manage to win it, I am not sure what will happen next? I will need to travel to that location and collect the car but after that how can I drive the car back home? I heard about trader insurance and trader plates, but for my situation is there any other possible way that I can collect the car and drive it home without getting trader insurance? I don't think I can get trader insurance because of my age and I don't have a lot of money, I want to start buying cheap cars (<£1000) and flip them. I can really see myself making good money but that's what I am not sure about. Any advice from you will be greatly appreciated.
Well done for getting in the trade at such an early age! Most trade insurance companies won't provide insurance unless you're 25 or older so your best bet would be to get temporary or day cover insurance 👍
Do you think that would work? I mean like they will give me temp insurance for my age? if that works then I am done with 1 out of 2 problems. 2nd problem is tax, I would need trader plates but I wouldn't be bale to get it without trader insurance, so how can I go about that? Also would you say BCA is good for me as a starter? would you say its the best to buy cheap cars and flip them? is BCA your main place where you buy cars?@@carsnstuffuk
