I test all sorts of things, from tools to automotive products, to help viewers make informed purchasing decisions and to avoid getting ripped off. Also, I have awesome Patreon supporters, which allows me to decline all sponsorships and promotional items from manufacturers and to offer the most unbiased reviews you'll find anywhere. Please watch a couple of videos and consider subscribing.
Thank you and best regards, Todd Project Farm, LLC
The timing of this on my feed couldn't have been better, have been in the market for a decent product and this was really informative. No nonsense, straight to the comparisons with meaningful and thought out tests. Thank you!
Just a helpful tip anybody that uses an Alexa can use a seven dollar smart plug to have Alexa program a on off cycle for your coffee maker so any old coffee maker can get an update with automatic controls!
I would like to see a comparison of coffee machines with integrated coffee grinder. I’m a snob for good coffee so being able to have freshly ground beans would be amazing
I am Guilty . Thanks to this man I am going to pay the High Price for the manufacturer .... oil here in West Africa . Now I know why my new chains wear out so fast. P.S. never keep un-mix petro in the same COLOR CONTAINER as the mixed petro, because when tired you will use the wrong one . 😅😅😅😅.
Do any of these products protect against bird and bug poop burning into lacquer paint? I painted a 71 vw bug with lacquer and now every time a bird or bug poops on it I get a stain into the clear
Awesome video. He does really do viewer suggestions. He has done more than one thing I suggested over the years. At this point, I've been watching him for almost 7 years. I'm really glad his channel has done so well because it is very genuinely useful and interesting.
In the 80s 90s we would switch to a higher viscosity when the engine got older. Higher viscosity is to fill the gap between moving parts. If they tighten the tolerances then they could use a low viscosity and the engine should last twice as long. Should i switch from 0-16w to 0-20w after 70,000 miles and maybe 0w-30w by 90,000 miles? What ever happened to that idea?
Actually, I was told during a "slick 50" demonstration at "Alderley Auto Toeing" many many years ago, it contained copper. And after the guy used an electric motor with a fixed bush on the end and a leaver to pull against it with normal oil in a tray under it and scratched up the bush. He then put slick 50 on it. Which filled in the scratches with something that did look like copper. With the normal oil I was able to stop the electric motor with the leaver. After slick 50, I lifted myself off the ground with the leaver and the motor didn't even slow down. At the time he claimed it was nano spheres of copper. My research below says it was soluble copper derivative. However he did go on about how the spheres were too small to get caught in the filter. For what's it worth, that is what I saw, heard, felt and experienced during the demonstration. (In Tribology, the Garkunov effect is one of selective transfer of softer metals to harder metals. You need to explain the full tribological process in order to understand what's going on at the surface. As the "copper indutstries" link above explains it's not nanoparticles of copper that are used in biosynthetic lubricants but oil soluble copper derivatives such as copper dihydrocarbyl thio- or dithio-phosphates, copper dithiocarboamates, copper sulphonates, carboxylates, and phenates. The above are used as oxidation inhibitors for epoxidized vegetable oils.
I was just looking over the N3 nano finish and considering picking some up. Thanks for the review. It gave me answers to some of the products/questions I had.
I just want to thank you for this awesome review. Spot on. I too am a fan of klein for their linesman/diagonal cutters and knipex for their installation pliers. Great tools
Just tossing out a video idea. Id love to see you compare some name brand 87 fuels (shell, exxon, chevron, etc.) to see which detergent package is best at preventing carbon fouling. We know Nitro is better than regular, but a gas station brand comparison would be awesome
Which dvd blu-ray 4k player has the best anti-skip technology for scratched discs? Also include game players (each console may have several specific versions like a slim) cause people watch movies on them too . Play the same movies in each player to compare. Clean disc to eliminate that variable. New players only cause past owner could've got internals dirty or dropped it.
Which Adam’s ceramic coating did you use? Was it the advanced graphene from Adam’s? I’m confused because you also had “Advanced Graphene” in your comparison. Thank you
Please test methods to find and fix holes in air mattresses!!!! Just anything to do with inflatable canoes, mattresses etc. Our method is a UV flashlight and tonic water (glows) in the mattress, inflate and look for glowing leaks to find holes that way. Then fix with shoe goo glue. Would make a perfect summer video, could be your best video yet!
Shark has a sale going on at the moment for the base version of the Stratos (the same unit just in red and fewer attachments) direct from their website for $270 via a coupon code listed on the page for it. The blue version (with more accessories) is down to $430 via a different code.
I personally have tried everything from Turkish pots to expresso makers. I've tired the fancy pour overs, And of course a plethora of drip brewers and even a Kureig. I keep coming back to the electric kettle and a French press. I can get *slightly* richer coffee from Turkish, and drip machines are *slightly* easier to use. But nothing, matches the relative simplicity, and yet rich, bold flavor of French press coffee. Though I still wanna know how a little 1500 watt electric kettle can heat the same volume of water 5x faster than my 2800 watt range. Wizardry I swear.
I enjoy many of your tool reviews. Coffeemakers...perhaps not so much. Sorry about that. There's a lot more to coffee than what was tested and measured. Long ago I designed coffeemakers for a major brand as well as a wide variety of household appliances. 5 oz has been the industry standard for a "cup" of coffee, not 6 oz. That's part of why 12 cup machines had less than 12 cups in your measurements, etc. While it's ridiculous to call 5 oz a "cup", look at old movies where they serve coffee to a patron in a diner. The cups were tiny and likely 5 oz. 1 level tablespoon of ground coffee for each 5 oz cup is also the standard.
