Beware before u purchase thus stand . I bought the exact stand and it does not work on my yamaha. It would crush my head light assembly. Seller wants me to pay shipping. I don't think so .. venom shame on you . Junk.
Just like pretty all ur comments are saying, great vid! I have a 2013 r6 and a 2008 gsxr 600. Definitely the gsxr for me is easier for me. I hate doing a plug change out on the r6! U Definitely have to have the swivel for 1 and 4. Wish I would have had this video in 2013, I had to learn just by getting in to it. Yup all ur stuff is correct. Ride safe man
They don't need to see your supervisor but it won't look too good if you show up without one and they're already there or if you don't pass and ride away without one haha.
WHEN I PUT IN NEW SPARK PLUGS I LIKE TO GET A NEW LONG LARGE FAST FOOD RESTAURANT STRAW AND IT'S MAYBE OVER KILL BUT I CAN FULLY FEEL FOR HOW SENSITIVE THE PLUG FEELS AND I CAN TWIST IT IN SLOWLY TILL I FEEL IT CATCHES THREAD THEN FINGER TIGHT AND THEN DROP IN MY SOCKET AND RACHET AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANY CROSS THREADING
Just did this on my 98 honda prelude. Having driving and shutting off issues. Got 195, 190, 198, and 199 . All good. Next doing a leakdown test. Then replacing the fuel filter. If isxue remains gonna replce the fuel pump
Let me know how the leak down check goes. Before you replace the fuel pump, try and get someone to turn power on while you listen to the fuel pump to see if it's getting power and turning on.
Taking mine at the end of the month, I really appreciate this video! How much longer was the test or did it end right after you cut the video? In the manual it says it takes around 15 mins so just curious if the test has possibly changed since this video was shot or if you just didn't film the entire thing? Thanks, any tips would be greatly appreciated !
Okay so I had to rewatch the video as it's been awhile but everything you see in the video is from start to finish for the riding portion. When she finished the last stop, she was told she passed and that was the end. Now, at the beginning of the test that is not in the video is the instructor will get you to operate all your signals and lights to make sure they work. They will also ask you for your hand signals for turning and braking and they will get you to walk your bike in a straight line. The video takes place right after that point
@@Trytec96 Thanks so much - I really appreciate you taking the time to reply ! I've been practicing a lot lately and this doesn't seem too difficult so I think I'll be good to go by the end of the month. Is the road test pretty straight forward as well?
@James de Boer one way I found really helped and the way I have taught others and they have been successful with the test, is go to a parking lot with parking stall lines, set up cones or plastic cups at the end of each line for spacing and just continue to slalom between the cones over and over again. Then start slowly moving rhe cones closer and closer and go as slow as you can. You should get to a point where you're moving between the cones at a closer distance than what the exam is so when you do the exam, not only has your clutch, throttle control and balance has gotten better, the cones on the exam will seem really far apart making it seem really easy.
Are you referring to the black protective guard cover that spans the entire width of the hood? If so, if I recall correctly as I don't actually own the vehicle anymore, You have to remove both wiper and then its all just plastic clips you remove and the whole piece should come off. It's been a while so don't quote me haha
Omg a Honda video with GOOD information to convey knowledge instead of incorrect BS causing wasted time/money. Thank you sir, especially for your bolt sizes
I've had the rear stand now for I'd say 9 years and the triple tree for I think 4 or so and they still work great. Best purchase I've could of made for the price
I'm just out right now, once I get home in a few hours I'll take a look at the video to see what you're referring to and see if I can give ya any advice.
@@Trytec96 np. Its the 17mm on top of the filter. I got the bottom 14mm one off without much issue, but the top one would not move. I even used longer bar to get some more torque, but it ended up just bending the top of the fuel filter so its slanted. It ended up bending that "C" shaped bracket the the fuel filter sits in too that's connected to the firewall. Not my intention but I didn't think it would be stuck on so tight. Gosh I feel like such a moron. It looks like I'll have to order a new C bracket now too because I tried test fitting the new fuel filter and it doesn't line up. The fuel filter is free from the bottom and C bracket, but the banjo bolt on top is stuck on. contemplated possibly that I have to replace the whole line that connects to it. Its a short hose from the top banjo, to the fuel feed line on top, then to fuel pressure sensor I have just next to it.
@@Snafu2346 ngl I just impacted it loose after trying to loosen it normally (was starting to bend like in your situation). I just did quick trigger pulls to lessen the chance of ruining the threads. Bolt and filters fine but your case still sounds extreme, might as well try my way.
Hey was having problems with the 14 on the bottom got it loose but as soon as it gets to the point where it should come off it rethreads it self or something so it won’t come off any advice? 😢
That is actually a very good question. I know they are testing your clutch control and gear shifting to a degree during the parking lot test but I honestly have no idea if a 125cc Scooter is allowed. A scooter that is 50cc or less, does not require you to have your full license, so it's not an issue for the skills test since it's not needed. I also know you can take a 125cc motorcycle all the way up to 1800cc plus to do your skills test as well, obviously not ideal to bring an 1800cc bike for that test but there's no rule about not being allowed. I'll try and find an answer but my suggestion would be to contact ICBC and ask them. If I find an answer, I'll post it on here for everyone
As a mechanic. Solid video man! Those “one time use” hose clamps are always fine to reuse just have to make sure they line back up in the original position where the imprint is.
Ya I'm never really too worried about them. I've read some people like to change small ones out after every use because of how inexpensive they are, but I agree with you.
@@Trytec96 I just did the job last night after watching this. Wasn’t too bad. Worst part was those damn clamps the heat blanket and getting that damn metal tab back through the upper try for the push clip. Great editing man. Took out all the swearing and frustration making me think it was easy. lol start to finish in 1.5 hrs and I’m experienced. Definitely would have saved it for a Saturday if I knew tho.
@Jackson14 haha ya I'm never a fan of having to do the spark plugs. I should have taught the gf to do it so she could get her tiny hands in there easier than I can haha.
Oh I got them quite some time ago just off Amazon. Just search LED light strip or 12in LED light strip and just make sure they have two open wires to connect positive and negative.
Wanted say thanks for posting my video...I am glad I saved myself the unnessacery fastener removals..great video...I am gonna buy a go pro and film all my tribulations tambien.
I got a b16a2. When the engine is in operating temperature, the following thing happens if I shut off the car and crank it again (let's say when I park to wait for someone, like 5-10 minutes: 1) goes to 1500 on the crank 2) falls to 1000-1100 for 3 seconds or so after the car starts working 3) drop to 500 and a small tremble happens as if it's going to stall 4) goes up to 900 and sticks still, where it runs smooth as silk. What is this? The car is bone stock, runs and accelerates fine, engine is in pristine condition. What might it be? We have cleaned and checked everything. Thanks a lot in advance, liked and subbed!
Just off the top of my head, possible vacuum leak maybe. Have you checked the timing? How's the distributor? How old are your fuel injectors? Does outside temperature change anything?
@@Trytec96 thanks a lot for your reply! Everything is checked and cleaned. The b16a2 engine was swapped in from an ek4 vti, so the fuel injectors might be like 25 years old, however the engine was checked thoroughly before the swap and it was (and is) in perfect condition. I used my old obd1 ecu though to avoid cut and stick wiring harness work and of course it was reprogrammed from the scratch with the stock b16a2 settinls and map. Other thing that happened was that the idle rpm went to 900, up from 750-800 or so that it was before. It still runs smoothly though, without knocks and misfires. I haven't noticed the temperature factor, since as it's summer time, it's hot. However, yesterday it didn't do the rpm dip till 500. Just a very small one, as if the car changed its mind. If it was a vacuum leak, wouldn't the dip happen when cranking the engine being cold too? Cold cranking is fine: rpm go to 1500 and go down slowly, as the temperature goes up. No dip happens during a cold start and of course no CEL pops EVER. Thanks a lot!
that I understand it is only 3 touches, if it is more it is obvious that it will force to have more psi Now the boy says we will measure 6 ignition attempts and makes 11 LOL
Lol. That was poor editing. One of the first comments makes a valid point. Crank until it stops moving. I think I said 6 because that's relatively how many cranks would happen before it stops moving up but ya I should have corrected myself in the video. Whoops haha
@@devkyo9799 oh damn. I know of we import one from Japan which is in good running order and lower mileage were looking at 3 to 4000CAD. Youre better off just buying a B16 head for cheap and then a B18 block. You'll save some money that way and you're going to get way more out of that motor.
It depends in the examiner I found. I did mine on an R6 and they asked me if I changed gears and I said I didn't need to since my bike can go 100 in first gear. In the video, the rider is using a 250cc and i don't recall the examiner making them go to second gear on the fast straight away.
A pre-trip? Not sure what you mean by that. You show up with the person who supervised you while riding there, and you start the parking lot test. What you see in the video is all the instructor is watching and testing you on.
Do these come in different sizes or am I doing something wrong? I borrowed a friends Venom stand that he uses on his GSXR for my 2017 Sv650. It lifts the bike to unload some pressure off the front fork but the front tire is still on the ground
The stand itself is a standard size for the venom stand that is. A different brand may be different bit the same concept. The only part that changes is the size of the pin that it going into the lower portion of your triple tree. Just have to find the right pin to fit nicely into the lower triple tree. My guess is that you may be using too small of a pin and it's being pushed too far into the triple tree and it's causing you to lose ground clearance when raised
this is from two years ago, but incase anyone has this issue as well, just place some 2x4s underneat the stand to raise it a few more inches, promise it will work
M/L. Fits like a medium in a Shoei or Icon, at least those are the sizes I wear in those brands and the M/L AGV fits me perfectly. I tried the M/S and I found my chin was making contact with the helmet when it was on.
@@neconrai9130 unfortunately when it comes to helmet sizes, you really need to try them on. You can get away with not trying them on of you're just buying a new helmet in the same brand but even going from one brand to another, a small, medium, large ect may differ slightly in size. The icon helmet in medium fits me perfectly, once it's broken in. It is rather tight and hard to get on when they're new and I'm putting them on. This is where I can compare icon and shoei to the AGV M/L because those 3 fit the same for me, just different comfort level and feel. There should be sizing charts on their websites on how to measure your head to find the right size.
