I think l only saw them once when l was a kid. I lived Indiana and we were visiting in Cleveland. I never watched Ghoulardi, either. In 1972 or '73 we were in Cleveland again and l saw the Ghoul, who instantly became my King and Leader. The movie was "The Brain That Would Not Die."
❤❤❤ every Friday night of my childhood was spent with big chuck and hoolihan. I miss those days so much. Not so good in 2024, we might go out with a bang, 😮
So, it's 2024, and we can't even still see it in warrensville heights. 19 is the same way. Are strongest channels from warrensville Heights include three, five, and 55. Wbnx really comes in in warrensville Heights however wvps in akron, ion, just cannot show up at all. And wav can't even come on either. Along with w e a oh, and sometimes channel 25 w i z. Sorry, missing letters. Wzid, and wvt wvps. Although, that's probably a signal and karlstein somewhere again, the call letters for ION that I was trying to say for akron, is, wvp x.
Lord, the Friday nights fixing Jiffy Pop popcorn and cherry Kool-Aid, to watch Big Chuck and Lil'John...if I remember, it was on WJW out of Cleveland, something about a giant gorilla on a WJW letter sign, and the music starting"Here we go again." I'm 67, and still remember that. Good times.....yep.
this was better than 99% of what is coming out of Hollywood in movies and TV, and yes, I know it is a spoof of Steve Austin the Six-Million-dollar man.
My favorite Cleveland Area/Northeast Ohio UHF TV Channels as a Kid and Early Teen (early 80s-early 90s)... 1.Independent (1985-1986) era and Fox (1986-1994) era WOIO 19 2.Independent (1968-1995) era WUAB 43 3.Preview (1981-1983) era and Independent (1983-1986) era WCLQ 61 4.Independent (1985-1997) era WBNX 55
Went to my best friend's😊 house to watch Big Chuck and Little John, after Hoolihan left. The Ghoul on Saturday nights. You will never see such classic TV fare again.
Grew up in Akron but moved out of state in 72. Thanks for the memories. Tulsa station did have the Unfilmy Can Festival with Gaylord Sartain and Gary Busey so didn’t get away from crazy altogether thank goodness. And I do have a Ghoolardi T shirt still.
