I know you may never upload again but thanks for your videos. They were not only entertaining but also informative. Wishing you all the best with whatever you're doing now
Take a look At Your Face. You're One Step Up from a Farm P1G. You're Entire Species Cant Solve a Simultaneous Equation. Our 15 Year Olds Can Do That. Noughts and Crosses (Tic, Tac, Toe) is Beyond Your Capability. Bill Gates has the Source for DOS-86. The Minions are Reverse Engineering Windows. So They've Given Him, little Bits so He Can Run his Charade. Those Minions are Giving You Little Bits, Because Stupid P1G Like You are Taking Everyone to The South Pole, To Make their Castles There. They Can Easily Takeover This Planet, because of What you've done.
I've been using Linux for almost ten years now. I can't use windows, because i feel it's like exposing my data to spyware, sure you aren't always 100% safe, but there's a difference between a proprietary windows binary .exe (which, btw, is insecure by default, see Kerckhoffs' principle) and a tar.gz or anything else with a source code available and auditable. I am twenty, and the ridiculous part of my story with Linux involved Mr Robot, which launched me to see cyberpunk movies and whatnot, not really coding, but after i saw it at eleven and actually was able to install an OS in my PC i changed to Debian 8, hopping in Arch (Before the fucking script) and Gentoo (without emerging a kernel sources), but i used a lot of distros, including hacking ones (because i was fucking scriptie kiddie, and besides not doing anything beyond light shell scripting, i use Mint now) like CyborgOS (pretty dope back then xD) and Kali with GNOME 3, sticked to Linux but i study history at college.
..Androids,RU-vid ,Googles..etc are linux based..its a really quick booting system..its a billon dollar computing, shopping industry nowadays with enhanced security thanks for earlier hacking and testings...
Open Source, especially Linux, is indeed as close to communism as it gets. But the biggest difference is that Linux is the only communist project that has ever worked.
Seems like a good market for both really. There is a lot of people who don’t have the time and money to Jack with a modified Linux system. So windows works. And the people who want to mess with it can. Done and done.
Bit rich Gates complaining about hobbyists stealing stuff. M$ became the biggest 'acquisitions company' in the IT industry. If a company had tech in a market they wanted in, they either bought them out or made it so difficult for that company to compete they went bust. Google 'Microsoft Acquisitions' - I actually think they stifled technological advances. Gary Kildall on the other had only wanted every one to work together and share ideas and tech. Unfortunately the opposite happened as the proprietary model was a capitalists dream.
This was a very insightful and interesting documentary on the early history of Linux. I will never use it for myself any time soon but it's a cause worthy of support and I hope that one day Linux grows into something great and commonplace and maybe one day there'll be a distro I'd be happy to use
I do wonder if the open source development of design programs and security protocols will in time shift the market away from proprietary services and instead allow for ventures to capitalise on providing customer service instead. As it stands the invested shareholders have a large stake in keeping their intellectual property exclusive and their staff repleted with promising talent. The next big advancement has in my mind always been optimisation of functional software with optional feature updates, rather than proprietary bloatware. It looks like marketing has taken precedence over allowing for market functioning. Open source CAD programs, game engines, even monitoring software doesn’t seem to have made much ground in comparison to the OS. It begs the question why.
Is it just me?, that I love that him because he makes free open-source OS and his software(Kernel/systems and Git), but I hate how to operate Linux OS, the communities helps and there are no independent good distros that are easy to use(no terminal at all and no typing to operating it), very stable(the installations doesn't crash and iso doesn't corrupted), very light desktop environment and very very small consuming ram(than fking windows OS)
I like Linux. I switched from windows and it's great. I have no problem with open source systems existing. It's great. Buuuuuut I absolutely don't think that all code has to be open for anyone and everyone. And although Bill G@tes is a v@ccine loving 1 percenter who wants to k1LL a quarter of the people on the planet, I completely agree with his take on people making money for their programming. How can anyone tell someone who programs some software, that they HAVE to give it out for free and make the code available lol? That literally makes no sense. It's completely fine to code up your own stuff and give it away for free and leave the code open. But you have no right to tell someone else that they have too as well. Or even that they should. People spend a long time learning to program, then even longer creating software. They have a right to do with what thet created, as they please. But one of the main guys was a dam hacker LOL. Hellooooooooo! He was even against passwords. Of course, the hacker was against closed code and passwords. Like do I need to spell that out to you. Imagine anyone out their who is a "hacker", yeah they would love for everything to be open code and have no passwords lol. I would never trust Stallman on my computer. Thankfully Linux now, isn't what that hacker wanted, not really anyways.
This is how Nikola Tesla would have it his way, to share electricity around the world. I have high respecf for this people. The more I appreciate Linux now. I have been a user for a week, and i have a step learning curve to go, but as possible, i am not going back to Windows/microsoft, and any thing that spy and track us, and milking people. Long live FoSs
