Hey what's up guys! Edward here with another DJI Mavic 2 Pro Review for 2020.
In this video I will explain why I believe the Mavic 2 Pro is still the top-of-the-line drone for beginner or expert drone photographers/cinematographers.
Note: I am not sponsored by DJI so I am giving my raw feedback from utilizing this drone professionally for over 2 years.

Thank you)) quick question, when a battery swells, does that mean end of life for it?

Hey James. If depends how hot it got. Usually, yes. The worst swelling battery I ever had is still sitting in my drawer and even though it significantly deflated, as soon as I put it back in the drone or just simply charge it, it quickly swells up again. Safest case is to buy a new one!

Nice video, I just got a Mavic 2 Pro and upgraded from a Mavic Air. Was tempted by the Air 2 but I thinkt this is sooo much better with the big sensor and 10 but video. It's superb to color grade compared to my Mavic Air which would easily fall apart and have loads of noise if I went too far on a color grade.

I did the exact same thing drone 1st then learned my way through the camera settings and how to get my shots correct! 6 drones latter and I have the complete fly app Family line up and the 2pro and I still love the 2 pro

Great Video, I fly the zoom but it’s like the brother to the pro I guess. Do you use the smart controller and if so what do you think to the maps for waypoints etc. I used Litchi once with the Spark which was my first drone and that had Google maps which was far better. Can you get Google maps into the smart controller?

That’s a great question. I’ve never considered buying the smart controller so I’m not really particularly knowledgeable in it. Thank you for bringing this up, I’m going to look into that!

Great video!! Well explained. Do you have a solution or trick to curb the controller from charging Android phones?

Thank you! And are you asking how to stop it from charging or are you asking how to make it change? Either way, click on the top right menu on your screen, select controller, and find the “charge smartphone” tab. I don’t remember if that’s the precise name for it but it’s around there. You can toggle on and off at your liking. Let me know if that works!

The mavic 3 pro is on the way. I took photography, and went to school for graphic design. Then I learned to fly drones and now I am professional too.

How do you know the Mavic 3 is on the way?

To operate the precision landing you have to make it take off automatically (never manually), raise the drone to a height of 7 meters and let it hover for a few seconds, he will take a picture of the takeoff point (the pad). You will see that afterwards it will always work... During landing, first he will check the gps coordinates, then he will look for the "photo" and land on it.

Great content sir, i just want to buy MP2 2 month ago so i check reviewr but it can't 4k 60fps.. so iam still in MA2 is my first drone actualy, in post production is just not big difrent MP2 and MA2 but in low light MP2 is the king now im just wait MP3 maybe.. or dji mavic fpv..

Great video. I agree 100% based on my (amateur's) research so we're on the same page. I'm a realtor and will buy a drone soon for Real Estate photography. My question is this. Given this is already 2 years old, do you have any insight as to whether DJI will be offering any new upgrades or models early into 2021? I don't want to acquire this now just to find new features (or a lower price on the 2 Pro) just a few months away. I know there is always something new coming but I can wait a few months because not much real estate business going on in the Cleveland Oh winter (similar to Toronto). Any insights would be helpful. This is a great question Bruce. Thanks you. Unfortunately, no one knows when DJI is planning on releasing the next professional Mavic. Currently they are releasing a lot of recreational drones not for professional use. However, if I were you, I’d probably wait to see if DJI makes any announcements leading into Christmas or New Years. If they’re silent and you have some real estate work to get done, I’d personally just get the Mavic 2 Pro, as it’s still really up there in terms of quality and software !

Thank you my mavic2 pro camera with a remote control. I move it down and up only. As for the left and right, it does not move with the remote control. Is there a problem?

Hey, thanks for your question. Make sure you aren’t near any magnetic interference objects like heavy metal or metal structures like a dense city or even train tracks. Also, make sure you have unlocked your NFZ (no fly zone) in the area you are trying to fly in. If you are trying to fly in a NFZ; yoir aircraft won’t let you move laterally. Hope this helps!

Nice video.. Question for you . I have the Mavic 2 pro which is fine , but I was thinking to get a back up drone for portability purpose without losing too much on quality of the footage and photos... If you were in my shoes , would you get the Air 2 or the Mini 2 ???

Thanks for the feedback Philippe! Very good question. In my shoes, if I had the budget, I would invest in the Mavic Air 2. 48Megapixel photos, 8K Hyperlapses, HDR video in 4K, longer battery life, better obstacle avoidance sensors. That’s what sells me!

i did the 300th sub. Do you think i should put the air 2 or the 2 pro on my christmas wish list? (i never had a drone, but i am interested in videography, i fly drone with my friends because now i dont own a drone. I want a drone wich is still good in some years, so i dont need to replace it after a year or 2)

Mattia! Thanks for the 300th sub! If you are passionate about drone Cinematography or photography or both, the air 2 and the 2 pro are both extremely good drones. If you are looking to start from 0 and mostly practice piloting while capturing cool photos and videos for Instagram, Facebook, and RU-vid, then maybe the Air 2 is the way to go. If you are more serious and already know how to pilot and want to start selling stock footage, or sell photos and videos to clients/corporations, then the 2 Pro is probably the way to go. However I take it that you’re still relatively new at flying as well as with videography, so I would probably go with the Air 2! Happy flying! Let me know if you have any other questions :)
