Baller Boot Camp is the best basketball training resource online. The creator, Augie Johnston, is a American, professional basketball player overseas. He is just like you. Spending hours searching online for the best basketball drills, workouts, and programs. When all he could find were super expensive pdf's and mostly just websites dedicated to coaches he decided to create Baller Boot Camp to help all the REAL BALLERS out there become better players.
Bro. Take down the other video and stop spreading misinformation. It’s “ballers” like you spreading misinformation and causing fights at the local hoop spot. Smh
It seems like the rules have changed so much. These rules nowadays seem ridiculous. In my day you could only take one step and you couldn't bring down the next step or it was traveling. I don't care what anybody says, the eurostep should be a travel. These extra step moves is so unfair for the defense. Maybe that's why they score150 a game nowadays.
I’m sitting here April 7. I think watching the women’s final game. Layups are now allowed to take three steps. I know that’s not the rule but that’s how they call it. It’s Travel.
step throwgh no nonononoooooooo..you enterpritate the rule wrong you can lift your pivot foot and shoot or pass BUT NOT take one more step.......clearly....basics 101....evey fade away shoot lifts the pivot but together with the free foot...not after....except if you are lebrick or giannis or kobe or luca etc..superstars only or the team that is orderd to win that game by the riged nba...everywere else on the planet is a travel
I say the strep through is a travel because in order to take the shot your taking a step. You cannot take any steps after stopping and establishing a pivot foot. You must jump off 2 feet shoot or pass.
@@colinnixon7739 if your in motion. If you were in motion then stopped and pivoted around you have to jump with both feet. I this was the rule as far as I have ever known. I've been playing for 35 years. So maybe there was a rule change I'm unaware of but I don't think so. I just think the game is so different now that this rule gets fudged so often people think its not a travel. The whole purpose of the pivot is useless then.
For those that don’t understand: imagine a simple 1-foot layup. Your first step is your pivot foot, and you are legally lifting your pivot every time you shoot a layup. This is the same concept.
I always respected the bank shot because I respect Tim Duncan. But in 2023, I have come to the conclusion that it is a better shot for me. Augie said that it allowed for more leeway compared to the swish jump shot. My right arm just cannot shoot straight into a swish but extends or pushes inward. So now I have been practicing shooting with my right hand on bank shots only. Bank shots from the top of the key. Bank shots from the free throw line. All with my right hand. The only swish jumpers I shoot with my right hand are the baseline/corner jumpers.
Howdy Augie ! Thanks for the sub ! Hope ya like the Show. That's really cool how you share your knowledge. I love all sports since I was a kid. Take care ! Peace
1st one is a travel, the second is not. With the step through, people seem to get all knotted up about it because you're heading towards the basket. If you take that step with your non-pivot foot sideways or away from the basket, they're fine with it, but as soon as you head toward the basket, they think it's a travel. It's not, you're not taking any extra steps, you're just heading to the basket.
You will get called a travel if you jump and land on the same foot, so is it possible if you do a 2 step pro hop but instead you will jump on that foot and land on a different foot?
